I have the prime Tower speakers they are excellent they got excellent sound I hooked them up to an rxz Yamaha receiver 13 channel I have 13 speakers hooked up and three power subs hooked up when I listen to my music it sounds excellent and when I watched TV action movies I can hear the triple and the bass and the sound coming out of all directions of my house I like it nice and loud I rocked the whole entire place especially when you hear shooting and guns going off my neighbors came over and thought I was having some kind of party there was a shooting in my house but they didn't realize it was my stereo system it sound like they are excellent speakers I would recommend this for anybody that's got a good surround system❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thanks for the comment!
Speaker weight is where they saved money. I don't buy light speakers, never have.
Do you think its worth getting these, if I already have the Prime Bookshelves and a PB 2000 Pro?
Hard call, if you are going to always have a sub maybe not.
@@JilesMcCoy thats what im thinking too, but i wasn’t sure
@@JilesMcCoy why not?😳
It's always best to go with a more capable tower speaker over a bookshelf or incapable tower speaker. In my experience, bookshelf speakers and towers with smaller base drivers provides sound. However, when the frequency demand is in full effect you will hear distortion or your sound experience fall flat during the demands.
If you have capable subs it will help mask the deficiencies by introducing more mid base to the sound which overall changes what was intended to be herd while the mixing was being done in the studio. For example, some gun shots, punches and human bodies hitting the floor will have a deep base thud instead of those sounds being more accurate and transparent in their delivery.
@@rico9391 yeah but the subwoofer doesn't make the same job ? To hear those sounds im.thinking buy svs ultra bookselfs and pb2000 pro + ultra center speaker + surounds + denon 4700h😌😁
My dream to you
Svs or klipsh are better guys?
Depends on the speaker.
@@JilesMcCoy svs prime towers vs rp8000f wich is better?
If someone can send me a pair of RP8000f I can compare! I've never heard the 8000s myself for any length of time.
@@JilesMcCoy what klipsh speaker's you compare d with prime towers and they was better?
I love my SVS but if you need to listen to some GoldenEar 5's OMG!
But can you make it easy?
SVS can!
Ummm we all fucking knew about it .lol
Really?
Failed to tell me anything about real world listening. Just a bunch of tech bs that means nothing to 99% of buyers.
What would you like to know about real world listening?
It sacrifices 40-100Hz bass in favor of 30Hz bass. Classic attempt to force small woofers to do what they don't do best.
Not really. That is room interaction you are seeing in the REW as I commented.
@@firecloud77 That’s why this is a 3.5 way design.
I got a set of them and a bunch of satellites running Atmos here in my living room, love them. I should have bought them long ago
I like svs but I think they are overpriced
These sound nice.
For sure!
I don’t know anything about bi amping and not interested
Ok
All right im gonna dig through your channel. But i need help finding the right towers and center for movie's. Older stuff think The blob, the thing, evil dead, predator, die hard. I have the fluance elite 5.1 and it actually sounds decent but i know im missing some action. I'm lookig at these or the kef q550.
Have you looked at the new SVS intro evolution speakers?
Ultra evolution.
@JilesMcCoy I'm trying to stay under 1,500 for a pair of of towers then piece it together over next few month's also have a small room I sit 7 ft from tv.
Are the PSA 210T an upgrade based on specs?
Not familiar with the PSA speakers.
My cousin has these speakers for a year now, he loves the primes
They are super nice!
@@JilesMcCoy jzilla I got to know, how do they handle the bass of solar fields tracks, my fronts do not so well even for dual 8IN drivers with 200watts each they with tracks such as they are deep and tight don't reproduce as clearly as I'd like they sound more like a rubber malet hitting a wet drum but on my m570 headphones the bass is tight sharp and precise, what I'd like to know from you is if you could give a listen to the solar fields albums, sol, origin #2 and, ourdum and tell me how they sound on those svs towers an maybe even do a sound demo video review
Klipsch rp260f&rp450c vs Svs prime Tower&Svs prime Center.
@@ekiquantameki7701 Prime tower and Ultra centre would be better.
Pinnacle towers and ultra centre would be even better. if you are in US.
Seriously, just how much bass can you get out of 2, 6.5" woofers? and made in china too.
Nothing wrong with made in China. If you need more bass check out the new Evolution towers. The pinnacle has 4 8” drivers.
@@JilesMcCoy Just listened to the Prime Towers. (RC Willey) No Bass, like I figured. Mid's and highs were good. Quality is crap, made in china like I said. Cheap grill cloth with push in plugs to hold them. Cheap Cabinets. I'll pass. they are now $1200 a pr. Can get much better for that price.
And YES, there is a lot wrong with stuff made in China.
It's all low quality and it's designed to fail.
I’ll just agree to disagree on this one.
These speakers are not very efficient, you need a LOT of power to run them. If you have a shitte system get something else. Wasn't until I upgraded did these speakers really shine
They have plenty of power to fill mid to upper mid size rooms. Sure they may not be suitable to listen at THX reference levels but who cares? What I care is the balance between power and actual sound quality
How do this compare to the klipsch rp6000f?
I’ve never heard those speakers before.
Would these sound better than an SVS ultra bookshelf?
They will have more low end for sure. But the sound “style” should be very similar.
@@JilesMcCoy what would you suggest? What’s your favorite speaker now ?
@@shamrock4840 What’s the price range?
@@JilesMcCoy umm flexible but $2k ish I have sub and rears .
@@shamrock4840 Do you need left and right, or LCR?
What is a good amp under $600 for the Primes? I had a Denon AVR that just died on me, Thanks!
Howe about the Starke Fiera4?
Good thing you didn't review the entire ultra system... they are 95% of the Starke speakers for 1/3rd the price.
That last 5% - 10% is where the cost is always.
@@JilesMcCoy The harder question is when is enough, enough? At what point is there a deep diminishing return. For me its the SVS Ultra series combined with one of those Starke amplifiers. To go up from here I would have to easily drop $60K and its just not worth the return. Just speaking from the heart to another home theater enthusiast. I really enjoy your videos and you are the reason I ever even heard of the Starke brand. Keep up the great reviews.
No worries, I'm not taking it the wrong way. The last bit of performance always costs a lot. And everyone needs to decide when enough is enough. I'm afraid that I am like Hamilton though... I'm never satisfied :-)
My biggest regret with the prime towers was not spending the extra on the Ultra Towers. I was advised by SVS to go with the prime towers over the Ultra Bookshelf for a dedicated movie room as it can handle dynamics a bit better (Simply more cone area). I have them paired with a SVS ultra center (awesome) and a pair of PB2000 subs. They do great and everybody is surpised how the system sounds powered by either the Denon x4000 or my yamaha. I dont really have any complaints with them, its just the hunt for more.
I'd love to hear the Ultras one day. They must be super good!
Hey man the sound its cinematic or just good sound because i want cinematic sound
@@kuriakos36 I would say both. One does not have to exclude the other.
@@chrisj9008 you believe are better speaker's from klipsh ? Why everyone says the klipsh speaker's are better from svs for example rpf8000 vs svs prime towers? What has klipsh than svs doesn't?
@@kuriakos36 such a loaded question. Sound is preference.. what measures well may not always sound the best to someone. Rooms can be 50% or more how a speaker sounds.
Just get stuff that sounds great to you and turn proud of. I found my happy spot with my JBL studio 5 series 590s driven by my qsc amps. Next is a better pre/pro and working on room details, both acoustic and visual.
Just enjoy the hobby!!!
