Neo Metal is a cool character I hope we see again. Metal looked pretty depressed when he reverted back to his original form back in the early 2000’s. He’s had 2 decades of games to plan a retaliation. Metal should get the Xmen 97 Bastion treatment where he learns from the mistakes of all the other Sonic baddies and evolves into a true threat post Sonic Frontiers
Wouldn't you be depressed if you lost so badly that you reverted back to just being a metal version of an existing character after you had finally managed to become your own individual?
Yeah I don’t think neo metal Sonics design needs to be permanent because then he loses the core aspects of what metal sonic is, a metal version of Sonic. And even his ability to talk should stay exclusive to neo metal because it goes with the theme that metal sonic and sonic are polar opposites of each other, sonic talks a lot saves nature and cares for others. Metal is cold and dark, doesn’t speak and willingly destroys nature. It’s a machine vrs nature thing and I like to keep it like that
No, but he should be Metal’s form when taking over the world with Eggman, or at least trying to, since he fights better in his Neo form than in his normal form
@@SoundwaveSuperior6969 I still think his original form shows what metal really is, a reflection of sonic, you loose that with Neo metal. Starting from smallest to biggest, there is Metal Sonic, Neo( the one with the longer quills and ability to shapeshift) Metal Madness and Metal Overlord(he flies and is the one Sonic fights in heros)
Neo is this form, the longer quills the white, the cape etc. Metal Overlord is the dragon like form he got from Chaos, negative chaos emerald energy, and some of Shadow's data (so maybe Black Doom mixed in), while Metal Madness is just the name of the stage I believe when you're the other 3 teams.
I love that Metal’s Neo form grants him such a difference and implies that kinda like Cell from DBZ base form metal in a weird way is kinda incomplete until he reaches Neo once again. I also think it’s interesting they haven’t brought this concept as a main villain again. Yeah Shadow Generations gave us Metal Overlord again for a brief moment but throughout Sonic Heroes story Neo was really pulling the strings and outmaneuvering the main cast like a true master-minded villain which is why his and Metal Overlord’s personality takes the superiority complex to the max.
Different villains for different roles. Neo has too much of a big boss appearance for the henchman role, but standard Metal Sonic looks like a perfect robotic enforcer. On the flip side, standard Metal would appear underrated as a final boss, especially following Perfect Chaos and the Finalhazard.
What I've always wondered is how does he get to that point? Head canon, but think it's pretty solid, and I know people hate 4, but it was meant as a prequel to Adventure 1 and sequel to 3&K. Along with being in a pod in A1 on Eggman's Airship, Eggman probably took the data he gathered on Chaos and gave some of it to Metal. Then aquired some data on Shadow, etc in A2. Thus building up to Neo Metal, but he still wasn't as complete as he could be, so he locks his creator up, believing Eggman to be holding him back. Gets more data throughout the journey of Heroes, making a convoluted plan of ending the world etc to gather all the necessary people, Amy, Cream, her God Cheese as well as kidnapping Cheese' brother Chocola, Big and Froggy, Rouge leading to her awakening not just Shadow but Omega the last and best of the E series robots, and of course those on Team Sonic. Scanning all their data, the ultimate lifeform's data, copying it, improving it, so that he could become the Metal Overlord in the end. Which also explains why he's in a dragon like state as Metal Overlord, just like Perfect Chaos, and the Biolizard being a dinosaur dragon like thing too. He uses chaos control during the fight, using all this energy, the power cores, and negative energy of the chaos emeralds, he became the ultimate machine, the metal overlord surpassing even the ultimate lifeform. Even Super Sonic couldn't beat him, as you can't damage him without team blast, if not for Knuckles and Tails in their psuedo super states, even Super Sonic would've been no match... kind of spoil my own things I'm doing, but just DAMN I LOVE EVERYTHING METAL SONIC lol. I believe episode 3 of Sonic 4 would've been that final bridge to put the pieces together... if episode 1 and 2 hadn't failed.
