- New York Jets 3rd round pick Malachi Corley still remains unsigned. Is it a big deal? No, we've seen this almost every year and Corley will sign the deal in time. For better or worse, these rookie contracts currently are as standardized as they get.
I would think this situation has more to do with specific terms & language rather than compensation.
This team is off to an awesome start. We had two no-shows, one DUI, one will not be ready, and one unsigned rookie.

Corely doesn't have all the leverage. These are pretty standardized deals. Will see some improvement from Gipson. Could mean whenever Corley decides to sign he rides the pine for a while.
Corley has confidence but he's done nothing yet
I think it’s good that he’s confident. Low confidence is a big factor for players becoming busts

I think the staff loves Gipson, based on that he may have a bigger role than Corley. I don’t think it’s a big deal at this point, but if we get into training camp and Corley is unsigned, that doesn’t look good on the rookie
Not overly concerned at this point. I'm sure it's going to get done eventually. Jets have all the leverage really. If Corley knows what is good for him he will get his agent to work whatever is holding things up asap. X Gip & BrownLee are getting all the reps and they are hungry 2nd year players. Go Jets!

Guys who don't want to sign quick concern me unless they're RB. RB I understand cause might not get anything after that rookie contract and tags. But if you believe your great you sign quick to prepare as much as you can so you're ready week 1. Forst guy to sign from the 2022 draft was sauce. He had confidence he wpuld be great enough to make plenty of money. I love that attitude. It's HOF attitude
