Shrimp nano cube in just 3 minutes!?
5 weeks later....
Yes, I know :P I meant it was 3 minutes to prepare everything.
I’m trying out shrimp soon and I’ve read they climb out, does that just have to do with bad water parameters? Just curious since I like my tanks open top so I can add terrestrial plants.
This is true. I actually made a video about this few months back: ua-cam.com/video/EmIBcjEC4Cg/v-deo.html there can be many reasons, but water parameters is one of them. But I still think you should try :) Good luck!
Same here, I just got 2 Sunkist today. As well as some mini duckweed, I'm excited to see how they fare
Does this have any termostate/filter/co2 ?
No, there is nothing. Light is the only equipment there is.
If you don’t have a lot of fish (not much oxygen consumption) with a planted tank the plants will produce enough oxygen. You don’t even need a light, turn your room light on. The trick is having enough plants, and enough light, in an old enough tank that has a stable microlife which is what keeps the parameters stable.
Don't apple snail harm your plants??
No :) This is clithon corona snail and it cleans the plants without damaging them!
@@AquascapingCubeokay, but what about apple snail, can I put them in my planted set-up of shrimps
Now drop a betta in 😂
NOOOOO! 😂 Full video is here if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/lNMzsX0x__Y/v-deo.html
Your doing it wrong. You should wet the soil first
Nope, you can leave it dry as long as you do it quick enough.
Hi actaully i am having a 20l aquarium with a tiny bit of monte carlo tukked in the aqua soil
I have also added a diy co2
Can monte carlo carpt with diy co2 ?
And if yes then how much time will it take to cover the entire bottom?
Yes, it can totally work. But will take some time, we are talking months here. Focus on the light - to not overdo it at the beginning, make frequent water changes to avoid algae and see what happens. Good luck!
Tank size in inches please??
6.7 x 6.7 x 6.7 in
Still waiting for my Monte Carlo tank to fully grow 😅
I found a 5lt cube in my storage shed over the w/e and was wondering how to use it. Now I know.😊
Cool! Go for it :)
What exact light do you use?
Sunsun ADP-80 1.5W
3 liters sorry, 1.5-2 liters...
Before planting soak soil with spary little !!!! It helps plant strong hold while planting
Nice touch ❤
What are the dimensions I would like to purchase one in a few weeks or could you possibly send me a link?
This one was 17x17x17cm, but I was made from scrap glass, not mass production. I would suggest to go for this one: amzn.eu/d/j4znNzH. 20x20x20cm is great size to start with and easier to run
@@AquascapingCube okay thankyou I was just wondering cuz I would like to have a shrimp cube as my second tank 👍
How can you make the shrimp live without an airpump
I almost never use air pumps in my shrimp tanks. They are doing great and breeding with no problems.
@@AquascapingCubemine literally died because of low oxygen and i have 5 different plants
plant name???
Eleocharis parvula
Plants 🌳 name plz
Eleocharis parvula mini
What does active soil mean? Do u tank it from other tank or its new packed?
No, it was brand new Yokuchi jiban soil. Active soil is very rich in nutrients and can influence Ph of your tank.
Broo your videos are really awesome.I am a new subscriber🙂.but I have a question how can I propragate my Amazon sword??
Also how to make a moss cave?
Nice tank build❤
Thank you :)
I did exactly what u did and waited for 3 extra minutes. But my plants are still the same.
What active soil did you use? Does it have to be specifically for aquariums?
It was Yokuchi Jiban Soil. Yes, it should be dedicated to aquariums.
You can use dirt from your yard if you're on a budget. Cook it in the oven to get rid of anything living in it first though. I use the cheapest bag of top soil from my local garden store capped with black sand. Dedicated aquasoils break down into weird sticky clumps when the nutrients are depleted over time.
Very cool I found a 5lt cube in my storage shed over the w/e and was wondering how to use it. Now I know.😊
Father fish has interesting info about soil.
@BlizzardyBlue interesting is one way to put it. He has a lot of good info, but he also has a lot of junk science. He once said on a live stream that climate change is a hoax because CO2 occurs in nature. He has also said that beginners can build a filterless tank (for fish). Take everything he says with a massive grain of salt.
