FYI, David Samson cleared up some of what he believes MLB and MLBPA are looking at as far as minimum requirements for themselves at Sutter Health Park plus the whole playoff ticket issue in his pod today. I'll put this out there again. If the LV plan should happen to fall through and Fisher is (finally) placed in a position in which he has to sell, how is it possible that the A's would stay in Sac? The NHL forced the Coyotes owner to sell to a group in Utah when their arena plans fell through because they couldn't just play in a small college arena for the foreseeable future. If they wanted to build a stadium in Sac, they'd have to start from square one in getting all that stuff that Oakland has already done which would take a lot of time (this is the same state of CA we're talking about). Oakland already has all those steps taken, a MLB ready temporary venue, and an established fanbase willing to embrace the team and a new ownership with open arms. The only other place that I would think has an MLB ready venue is maybe San Antonio if they could fix up the Alamodome, but that hasn't been discussed as a possibility. Let's go, Oakland!
As for San Antonio, they did try to land the Marlins several years ago. San Antonio will build a new ballpark near downtown on or very near the Riverwalk for a MLB team. San Antonio will use the Alamodome as a temporary venue including ripping up some of the lower grandstand bowl for MLB standard outfield fences, and use retractable seats for college football games...Think similar to what Joe Robbie Stadium did...

Every single prediction Casey made in the last 2 years has been proven wrong. Howard Terminal will be built. The A's will never leave this fanbase. John Fisher has already spent $100M to stay in Oakland. The City will find the infrastructure money. MLB will never allow them to move. MLB will force a relocation fee. MLB owners will not vote for it. The State of Nevada wll never pass SB1. The player's union will stop the move. There's no place for the A's to play. Vegas will never happen. Vegas doesn't have a place to build a stadium. Its too hot in Vegas. Schools over Stadiums will stop SB1. Fisher doesn't have the money. Ballys is broke. The A's will not move to Sacramento. BAD ADVICE instead getting fans to put pressure on the City and County to prevent the A's from moving and stop trying to bully the owner to sell what he owns. Someone needs to tell Casey there are only 4 day games coming in Sacramento and most likely, only in the spring and fall. Now, before you jump all over me, I've said many times that I wish the A's would stay. But I've also said it was the MEDIA tha actually made John Fisher and MLB's job easy. And it seems nothing has been learned, unfortunately.
