I suspect that my Seagate NVME M.2 SSD may be the culprit as other folks on the internet have complained that this drive is prone to early failure. I hope that isn't the case with my PC.

Everything started when an update of the Windows 10 failed ... then I tried to solve using a System Restore at a specific date and then when it seems to works fine and suddenly restarted and appeared a looped Blu Screen of death (BSOD) with Different Error Code as REFMON INITIALIZATION FAILED... BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO... CRITICAL SERVICE FAILED ... All of this problem appears because of the need of more free space in the partition with the system, it had less than 10 GB… then solved the free space with 20 GB I tried to fix again the problem but the same boot loop of BSOD apperead… Finally tried to repair this in Command Prompt Environment into Windows Recovery Environment using commands like bootrec and bcdedit… I encountering an "Access Denied" error when trying to run the bootrec /fixboot command, it indicated that the command is unable to write to the boot sector, then I applied your tutorial and fix everything and the Windows works fine again. Cmd couldn't locate Boot files there, that's why ur pc is showing that error. Either they are missing or corrupted. I have added video in the description for those who get this type of failure. You can check that.
i received this error in another situation because the partition selected as destiny was lacking space. I just expanded the partition by some MBs and it worked.
this didn't work, after the first bootrec /fixboot it was suncessfull, then i did bootrec /rebuildbcd it still shows windows installations=0 then i did bootrec /fixboot again, and again it shows access denied
I am missing the system volume on my laptop. I can't seem to fix it since my laptop bluescreened and then entered a very slow bootloop. I even did chkdsk and it said nothing was wrong. I can't create a partition because for some reason my C disk is using all of it's 932gb
Thanks for the procedure! It was good to boot back into windows. The BSOD showed up once in about 20 reboots. I would assume the HD/SSD is becoming faulty.
@@VideoGuide Thanks for the help. Installed new SSD and fresh install of Win10. First bootup had BSOD. Put back original drive. Removed RAM from slot 2. Same BSOD. Removed and swap of RAM between both ram slots still BSOD. Suspect something in motherboard now.
Seems so. If it's not showing capacity then something is wrong 😕😔. Try to remove carbon from ssd stick. Sometimes it doesn't detect it properly but SSD just works fine. Try it. It may work. Not sure though.

You should contact Microsoft support team. They will assist you better than me. I just showed what worked for my PC. I didn't know windows added new errors in already occuring errors.😐 I guess your boot files are corrupted that's why it's showing you another error. 🤔
Nothing works. List volume only shows volume C: , there is no other volume in disk 0 . Windows installed in C: volume. Dont have EFI 100mb system partition. Tried all tricks available..

@@GawakiOG that assigned letter was to recognize the volume of boot drive nothing else. That was necessary in order to create new boot files. That's why I said try the main command again and see if it works. Either way your PC was already in a bsod issue. I didn't create that issue newly. It was already there. BSOD is the only condition related to boot drive corruption and the error code does not even matter. Try the cmd commands again with correct config.

My computer had a blue screen only sometimes so I tried to use the commands this video shows a fix for, I got access denied, so I came to this video to fix that & after I renamed the disk partition to z my computer blue screens every single time I sign in. sounds like you are getting your commands mixed up, there is a bootrec command and a bootsect you are putting in a command that does NOT exist bootrect
It worked tysm, it appears to be thah my boot files have been tempered with, or boot drive to be exact, cuz i kept getting unmountable boot drive after every reset !

That is why it didn’t have system on as it lost its path. I’ve now fixed it and gone back in and it now says system next to which I didn’t type in

It's a corruption or missing boot files error. It's different than this issue. Find it on yt. U will get it easily.

What if ‘system’ doesn’t come up under any of the labels ? I only have hard drive, system reset, and my usb (with the fresh windows install)
There should be disk numbers instead of labels. Usually, Disk 0 is the default drive.

Yeah something like that. It regenerates the default boot file and then it overlaps the corrupted one.

Try reinstalling the new os. First backup ur imp data and then do it. Some system files might be corrupted or overwritten.

Disk 0 shows up as 0B (which is likely my SSD) while hard drive and external drive is normal, could my SSD have failed?

Try now. It's been a while since your system had to rush start. Cold start vs warm start.

What if I already have a letter assigned to the OS drive/volume? Then what?
Then use that drive in the commands. The default is C but u have different than that then use that letter.

Try using other disks because windows sometimes doesn't recognise it's drives.
