this is probably really weird but boyfriend and I went to South Korea for his graduation vacation and we coincidentally saw you guys filming at the spa. we first saw you guys sitting on the upper level/part of the restaurant and then again walking around to each of the different saunas and rooms. I really wanted to say hello but I was really anxious since I didn't want to interrupt lmao. but then I saw Tyler walking by and I kind of freaked out which I guess he noticed and he waved to me hahaha. it's a little surreal seeing the video and also knowing we were there at the same time. I really enjoyed it haha.
This was my first video of Sara that I watched and I loved her right away. What a lovely, bubly person. I binged all her video's afterwards and was so happy to have her video's as companionship during the pandemic. Rest in peace and thank you so, so much for everything you have given us. I'll never forget you.

I studied abroad in Korea (2017) and in the last week I was there I visited a sauna. I had finally worked up the courage to go since I was going alone (nobody else was interested in the naked zone.) I am a woman of color and I'm not thin whatsoever, so I was really nervous. I also don't speak fluent Korean, but I know enough to get around. The naked zone was amazing! I showered, soaked in all of the hot tubs and got a nice body scrub where all my dead skin was sloughed off. Then I changed into my spa clothes went in all the rooms by myself, took a nap, ate some snacks, and ate a huge ass meal too. All by myself, and I locked my phone in my locker as well. It was such an amazing experience I'm upset I didn't go the entire time I was there.
Sara your joyful energy is immortalised in the videos on your channel, I'll continue to re-watch them and I hope up there that you can see that you're still bringing joy to so many people

In the US (where Safiya is from) we aren't really exposed to temperatures over 100 F (37.7 C) unless we live in the desert. Saunas aren't common and almost only exist in expensive spas and fancy gyms. 😅
a person idk where you live but in the east coast virginia (and states below that) can reach 100 degrees in the summertime (in virginia usually july/august)
i’m from finland (where saunas were created) so i remember the first shock when i saw korean spas and saunas haha also in a 100 degree celcius room our floor isn’t hot but almost cold? idk the physics behind that but i definitely don’t need socks lol

The point, of course, is that it could not possibly have been 100c. Or really anywhere near that temperature. Not the air, anyway. Maybe the sensor was on the ceiling. They'd have been seriously burned if the air temp had been anywhere close to 100c.

Because there is very low humidity in the room, it doesn't feel like you're actually in a room the temperature of boiling water, and your body doesn't instantly heat up to that temperature either hypertextbook.com/facts/2005/HimtangWong.shtml
@@TheGadgetPanda Saunas in Finland or Germany are usually around 90 degrees, so I assure you that 100 is not that hot if you are used to this. I love going to the spa myself and I usually stay in a 90 degree sauna for about 15 minutes but that is the maximum. If you stay too long, you can feel dizzy and even sick. I once tried a sauna that was about 110 degrees hot and I had to leave after the first few minutes because it felt like I was being slowly cooked to death, ahaha!
We were robbed of any future vlogs with Sara and featuring Safiya, all I can do is imagine the adventures that they could have gone on together. R.I.P Sara!

@Nevena Savic I usually like it around 80°C -90°C . I panic a lot too so I understand it might give anxiety. Not all Finns like sauna either because your heart rate might go up and you might feel dizzy. But over 100°C sauna is possible for person to be in 😄
It's fine. You just don't stay very long, like, 5 minutes max. Then jump in a cold pool or icy shower, or even roll in snow. And repeat. You feel like a wet spaghetti afterward and sleep like a baby, and your skin is impossibly soft.

I am from Finland and we go to a 100° Celsius sauna every Saturday! As most houses and flats have a sauna ;). And kids enjoy those temperatures too... And then we make it even hotter by throwing hot water on the stones. Yeah. We crazy!!
@@AT-sx2jp Boiling water. But in a low humidity room it won't be as hot. The higher the humidity, the hotter a given temperature feels. And with humid heat you get to a point where there is too much moisture in the air so you can't actually sweat to cool down. Whereas a dry heat allows for plenty of sweating to keep your body closer to a sensible temperature. Fun (or not so fun fact depending on how you look at it) the earth is headed towards some areas of the planet ending up with humidities high enough that you can not sweat to cool down. So you just overheat and die. Yay climate change! :(
I just had to do the conversion. 95°C = 203°F That's 100°F hotter than a normal summer in the valley here in California. I would die. No shame in nopeing out. 😆

김치찜에서 토마토맛이 살짝 나는 이유:김치찜은 일반 김치가 아니라 묶은 김치(오래동안 발효후 냉장보관후 사용)로만 만들는데 묶은 김치의 신맛이 일반 김치보다 훠ㄹ씬더하기에 찜요리과정으로 익히게되면 토마토맛(?)이 살짝 있는 듯 합니다.늘 응원합니다.(저는 1985~1987기간에 시드니소재 N.S.W. Uni.에서 MBA과정을 해서 호주에서 온 사라가 더 반갑네요.^^)

I am from Finland and we go to a 100° Celsius sauna every Saturday! As most houses and flats have a sauna ;). And kids enjoy those temperatures too... And then we make it even hotter by throwing hot water on the stones. Yeah. We crazy!!

@@AT-sx2jp Boiling water. But in a low humidity room it won't be as hot. The higher the humidity, the hotter a given temperature feels. And with humid heat you get to a point where there is too much moisture in the air so you can't actually sweat to cool down. Whereas a dry heat allows for plenty of sweating to keep your body closer to a sensible temperature. Fun (or not so fun fact depending on how you look at it) the earth is headed towards some areas of the planet ending up with humidities high enough that you can not sweat to cool down. So you just overheat and die. Yay climate change! :(
