It’s always good to see the bluebirds of happiness. And the red-eyed vireo of craziness. 😄

🐦 This was a fun one...the bluebirds taking turns, the morning dove soaking it's feet 😄. I find myself rooting for the little titmice, winter King of the pool and now rather elbowed out. It feels like a privilege that the migrants heading north have stopped to give us a glimpse of their beauty along the way.
Thanks so much for a lovely start to the day. Have a great week.
    🥰🌿♥️

Too cool to count...so many beautiful bird moments. Your work is appreciated!
And yes, the pools allow us to gaze upon birds that, otherwise, we might get only fleeting glimpses of... that Red-eyed Dive Bomber being the exception, of course! ❤❤❤❤

One of these days that Vireo is going to pause long enough for us to get a good look. 🙂

I haven't been watching long, and I have gone back to see other videos, but this is the most enjoyable one so far. Your editing is great, and I always like that you put the ID in. I have no idea how you can ID the Vireo though, it never stays long enough! Great work!

I can freeze frame the video while I’m editing to confirm suspected Vireo sightings 😄 Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

8:00 if the dove had pearls I think it would be clutching them, seeing the very nonproper way the other birds bathe! It seemed aghast/perplexed 😁
12:15 I love how she spreads her tail out
    19:00 splash and dash 😂

this channel inspired me to add water feature with a similar birdbath in our yard. I also put up a trail cam and have had some good birds but nothing like your variety yet.

That’s great to hear! Give it time. I’ve had my bird pond up and running for 12 years. The number and variety of birds increases each year.

Hello, I have been watching your videos. They are AMAZING!!
I'm not sure if you have it. I'll ask anyway. Do you have an aerial diagram of your stream and pool? How many cameras do you have in that location?
I'm interested in making a pool similar to yours with maybe a shorter stream.
I only have a one acre lot. I want to make some type of habitat for birds also. Thank you! 😊

Hello and thank you 🙂 My water features are smaller than you’d think. They look large because I film from only a few inches above ground level. Both the bird pond, which is the one with the waterfall cascading over large flat rocks and the woodland stream, which is the one with the narrow waterway flowing into a shallow pool, occupy a space of about 5 foot by 3 foot. The stream portion of the woodland stream is 4 feet long and the pool is about 3’ x 2’. At the bird pond, the main bathing area is just 14” x 16”. That one includes an open water reservoir that that you never see because it’s beyond the shallow bathing pool. I don’t have anything drawn up. I don’t work from plans when I do these. I just went out to take measurements so I could answer your question 😃 My suggestion is to keep things small. I’ve tried larger pools with more open water and the birds did not like that as well. It’s better to provide multiple small pools or a combination of stream and pool or water over flat rocks and pool. The only fixed camera I use is the Birdsy cam at the bird pond. I have three GoPros that I use to film the UA-cam videos and I move those around. When I’m filming at the woodland stream, I usually have two cameras set up there. One pointed across the length of the pool and one set up in the stream, pointed up toward the little waterfall. As far as just monitoring what going on at the water features, I have the Birdsy cam at the main pool of the bird pond and an Amazon Blink pointed at the upper area. One Amazon Blink covers all of the woodland stream. Hope this helps and good luck with your project.
