- WARNING! This video contains an "over abundance" of photos of the north side of Mt. Jefferson, Oregon. Long story short, this side of the mountain is soooo photogenic it is impossible to resist limiting taking photos!
The video feature a three day backpack trip up the Whitewater Creek Trail into Jefferson Park. Also, a side trip from Jefferson Park up to the North Park Ridge.
I came for the dogs. I stayed because the beauty of Jefferson wilderness 👍🐶🐶
Awesome! Some great pictures. A couple beautiful dogs. My little girl goes backpacking with me too. Flad tou don't keep them on leash. What do you have them carry in their packs? Squirt carrys her food and water. I had her carry her own bed roll untill we got to the first lake and she went swimming....😟 awesome trip !
Thank you for the comments! The dogs are well trained and literally walk beside us on the trails. They carry mostly their own food and a few odds and ends for us. Great companions to have on a backp[ack trip!
Unfortunately, a major fire has closed the Whitewater access to the park. That being said, late July is generally the best time for wildflowers and mosquitoes! However, in early August many wildflowers remain and the mosquitoes are gone!

The fire did not reach Jeff Park, however the Whitewater trail was impacted quite severely!
