such a good vid! I always love hearing you talk about Persona 3. It was also very fun getting to DQ3 while playing DQ3 at the very same moment. Excited to see what you do with the channel next!
Emerald Seaglass is something I'd never heard of before now but it looks like exactly what I wish Game freak was doing. Like can Game Freak literally put aside a million dollars, get a team of like 10 people and just make gameboy style romhacks with all the new pokemon? Like how would that not make money? Anyway, looks super cool.
Great video mate. I found your channel when looking for UFO50 reviews, and your breakdown of it was spot on. Brilliant game. GOtY for me alongside Animal Well. Looking forward to your future videos 😊
@@itswavelengths hahaha. yeah because i was thinking, cutting together a 72-min ufo50 in video form - one that rewards watching to the end with a beautiful (frankly moving) mini-essay @ #1 and which, rather than litigating why 2 thru 50 fail to qualify for the top spot, chooses instead to sing the praises of their crafting - didn't demand nearly enough time and energy as it is
I randomly watched this video (I love checking out rankings from different people), and Persona 3 Reload at the top + such a nice talk about it => instant subscription. Great list!
Great stuff, I’ve come to really appreciate your channel and taste (as well as taste in headphones) I would check up on the visions of mana thing though. I think it’s still SE’s ip, and the director of that game was hired by them after netease shut down that studio. I don’t think tencent has ownership of netease
first off great call about visions of mana, that’s what i get for throwing the script out lmao and second: those headphones are the all time best. no contest.
With regards to Warhammer 40k: while it's true that the IP has its fair share of fans who... _get a little bit too LARP-y with the setting,_ shall we say... it should be noted that such people are still very much in the minority and Games Workshop has taken an active and public approach to disavowing them. Also, yes, your intuition is totally correct in that there's a strong satirical element to 40k. The setting is very deliberately pushed to the point of utter absurdity in terms of scale, violence, and its portrayal of a dystopian future for humanity. And that's part of what makes it so fun.
yeah it’s a bummer that the community at large has a bad rep to outsiders like myself, but speaking totally anecdotally: the two people i know irl who love warhammer are two of my favorite people on earth
Was just thinking today I hadn’t seen a video of yours in a while. I played and loved Shin-Chan based on your recommendation. Looking forward to seeing what you played/enjoyed the most now! In case I forget, and if it’s not on your list, PLEASE pick up ‘before the green moon’, I just know you’d love it, based on your feelings about shin chan/boku no natsuyasumi. FFVII/scifi aesthetics/ harvest moon vibes in there too. Never played a game that made me cry on the SECOND playthrough before lol. They just understand atmosphere, melancholy, and texture, so well. From what I’ve read there are only two people in that dev studio too. It’s just beautiful. Anyway I’ll get back to watching your video now
1000xRESIST is my personal goty, by a country mile. the story(telling) is just on another plane of existence compared to almost every other video game. Emio unfortunately was a step down for me, from the previous remake duology. it aims too high, cramming too much hamfisted story in the final act, for what is otherwise a very slow-paced investigation. also you spend soo. much. time. with. fucking. Fukuyama. The guy is like quicksand, you just feel like there's no escape the more he talks.
omg yeah fukuyama FREAKED me out every time i needed to talk to him. i obviously liked the game more than you but we can definitely agree on fukuyama lmao

Wake up babe new Wavelengths dropped.
Subscribed. Hope your channel blows up soon because this is great content. Thanks for being you.
This, my coffee, and my daughter laying next to me watching Peppa, made for a good Saturday morning.
Miss those days of my daughter watching Peppa Pig! Enjoy them bro! Time moves too fast!
@ 🥹 I don’t take a second for granted and yet it’s still moving too fast. She’s three and I don’t know how already.
@ enjoy brother 🫡 😊 mine turns TWELVE (12) this year and my Wife and I are always in a state of 🤯
RAISING A FAMILY IS ALL ITS ABOUT!
@ my heart jumped a little bit thinking of my daughter being twelve. Let us hold on for dear life

This was a fun watch! Great list, and as a fellow UFO 50 sicko I love the inspiration for the format

Totally agree with Fields of Mistria. I don’t have a ton of hours clocked into it yet but I can tell it’s already right up my alley. Good choice 😅👌🏼
was expecting a beam of light from the setting sun to catch a staff of ra or something..
lovely piece, dig the positive vibes
wow this was a real missed opportunity on my end lmao

You’re one of the few that seem to understand that Warhammer 40K is camp. Not even some of the players get that.
37:12 oh look it's me running around for no reason

Great vid. Just subbed
thanks for watching!!
I also had to stop myself from playing Hades 2. It's very good, but I want to wait.
it was nice to dip in for a few hours and be like "yeah, i have no concerns about this anymore" and then dip out again.

This video rules, these games rule, I need way more time to play these games and also talk to people about them.
This video has both informed me of and gotten me addicted to Deeprock Galactic Survivor. I didn’t even know that game existed.
rip free time
yesss so excited to watch this
you get MULTIPLE shout outs in this thing
@ 😎
YOU MUST HAVE THE SAME SET UP AS ME ,A 12 tb HARD DRIVE WITH A TON OF GAMES INSTALLED ON IT THROUGH playnite

Damn, guess I'm playing p3r cause I did not think anything could top UFO 50 this year.
They're not kids.
goated video
be fr you did not finish 50 games from 2024
i never said i finished 50 games! i actually say the opposite a bunch of times throughout the video!!
Great list with a few games I'll need to check out! So happy to see Emio getting love and I can see why P3R is your number one - it’s phenomenal!
