I like that they made them watch John Cougar Mellencamp...I had a beautiful girlfriend whose favorite musical artist was John Cougar..she loved his music...I couldn't be with her and respect myself after I found out, so I had to break up with her.
Surprisingly educational, I know more about the atrocities of Guantanamo Bay than I did almost 15 years ago. A pretty good window into what the 2000s were like.
The only mistake they made is that FOX Kids still existed in the 2000s. Pretty sure it was on its last legs in 1999, as was most over-the-air Saturday morning cartoon blocks in America. It might be different in other countries, but I know in America, Saturday morning cartoons pretty much died during the 2000s, though the 1990s was the beginning of the end, considering that most either ditched or shortened their cartoon blocks for news or live-action teen shows like "Saved by the Bell". Then there's the fact that cable channels like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney/Toon Disney were actually airing cartoons that kids actually liked while free-TV channels had to air cartoons that allegedly had educational value due to FCC regulations. Most of this might not be correct, but I know the 1990s was the last good decade for SatAM TV and there were lots of factors behind it ending. Now with streaming and Internet, you can pretty much construct your own Saturday morning cartoon block, whether for your own nostalgia or to show your kids what cartoons were like back when you were younger. But people don't want to hear that. They just want everything to magically go back to how they think things used to be.
I vaguely remember it when I was a little kid (yeah I’m old). Torboto is obviously modeled on Gigantor. I still remember the Gigantor song! “Gigannnntorrrr. Giga-A-a-an-tor. Gigantor the space age robot, he’s at, your command!”
The reference stuck out to me because he used to play for the local college. I looked it up and still not sure. There was a 2007 controversy over him saying he would distance himself from any player that came out as gay - later, he reversed that and was an advocate for gay marriage in FL.
NBC cancelled TV Funhouse despite its great popularity when the show-within-a-show criticized NBC's then-parent corporation, GE, for its weapons manufacturing profits. Of course, SNL now has no problem getting clicks and views from TV Funhouse, but it'll never be revived.

The cast was used for hate crime and programming against all manners of idiological threats. Very good...since Disney isnt around to do it anymore.
Possibly to avoid controversy, as at the time, the Muslim community was in an uproar when the real news about Koran flushing was reported (as well as NBC BS&P not allowing it).
What in God that I just watch. Don't me wrong I love parodies that are good. Tetsujin 28 is the great granddaddy of all giant robot before Mazinger Z. But seriously what in unholy of jinmem is this .
I thought this was about Unit 731. Y’know, since Gigantor is a Japanese series? so I thought this would make fun of the war crimes committed by Imperial Japan.

Given what we know about Louis CK, this makes this whole thing even more disturbing
Also nice reference to Gigantor A.K.A Tetsujin 28.
That theme song sounds so close to the real thing it’s spooky.
A perfect perversion of Gigantor.
Gigantor would cringe at that guy and challenge him to a one-on-one robot fight.
2 minutes of ads for a 4 minute video and UA-cam is stunned and shocked that people install ad blockers.
....And I thought the original Gigantor (Tetsujin 28-go) was ridiculous.
