I will make a concerted effort to restart my Rosary daily from tomorrow. I worry because some days I don't say my traditional prayers but I call on Jesus during the day. I feel lost when I don't say my traditional.prayers.
Prayer life did not worry me it bored me. Rosaries and reading Prayers that someone else wrote addressed to someone else. I boredom turned to joy when I opened scriptures and turned my attention to God the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ. Typically one may want to start with singing one or more of our beautiful hymns, then go to the book of psalms, then read and meditate on the beatitudes, read John 17. Then as you sit in the outer courts you ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into the inner courts as focus on the throne of God.. It's an amazing experience to be enveloped in His love and experience tears flow uncontrollably.
I say my prayers that I have memorized several prayers when I drive long distances it's when I say my prayers, try to say it in the mornings, noon, evenings and IN between i make it a habit to be with God as much as I can .
I have my prayers in the morning, when driving I say my Rosary , put my christian songs and sing and praise Father God, LORD Jesus and the Holy Spirit and at night I do my nightly prayers
Thankyou father i am on the right path. I for 2 years now at 6.30 am put 45 minutes aside sit outside light a candle stand that beside the statue of our Lady and say prayers. In peace and quietThankyou for the great podcast.

Since returning to the Church. But I never let . My Father God or Jesus , I started to Pray the Rosary. That was difficult for me. But I do it 3,, times a week. I would like to say daily. But I'm in the Word . Plus Prayer for the lost souls. And my Son's and daughter in lawz , 5 grandchildren., out witnessing. I'm suffering from lower back pain, knee pain been 7 months since I really walked, without falling really hard. I've been homebound. I miss Mass . I watch on my phone. I'm taking a catechism. Class with Fr. Mike . Because I can't get around. I pray in the spirit. I forgot I had that gift. 14 I was Baptized in the Holy Spirit. Please Pray for my back and knees, when you said , I could have pride ubove God. I went to Pray and to read. Up on the worse sins . Thank you , Frs. I love your teachings
That part of the ambience is a really hard part for me. Well there's really a desire for prayer, but the house itself is a huge distraction from prayer. I pray in the living room but at times family members come and it's just not ideal to pray where it's not a closed room. It's so needed for my soul for that ambience. Salve Maria! My question in regards to devotion to Our Lady vs Intercession of the saints. I’ve not felt as particularly close to Our Lady, but have been drawn and called spiritually by 2 specific saints. Of course after this podcast I could do some work on my relationship with the holy mother, but why did it happen this way for me if there was a preference on how we ask for intercession
Salve Maria! People have devotions to particular Saints for different reasons. Our Lady is a Saint, and the Queen of Saints; we can call on her anytime and she will hear us. God bless you.

Praying on my knees and focusing on a crucifix or image of Our Lord helps with having less distractions.
