The bosses in this game are horrid and terrifying. The horror in this game is done well, for a platformer.

@@YTGlobalGaming It's all so surreal and the way it instills fear is hard to comprehend. Especially the Voracious Centipede boss... It's so vile and disgusting.

Please no. I understand you just want the game renewed, but on the other hand think how much it can destroy the game. I am more than sure they would polish it as hell and make everything beautiful as in the second game. Just compare the absolutely gross Red Queen from the first game and the pretty lady Red Queen from the second. I love how disturbing is the first Alice, I don't want it to be destroyed by overall cuteness and "look how great madness is" stuff.

@@erierierieri You got it wrong. Remastering means improving the quality of the graphics, not making them more "beautiful." In fact, it would look even more grotesque. And:
- Alice Madness Returns has many contrasts, there are beautiful parts like the Vale of Tears and other terrifying ones like the Infernal Train. That makes it special.
- Did you pay attention when Alice talks to The Queen on AMR? Alice says she expected to see someone different and The Queen replied: "You don't know your own mind." In American McGees Alice it's clearly mentioned that The Queen and Alice are two parts of the same person. The Queen changed her appearance after Alice defeated her because now she represents Lizzie (Alice's older sister).
@@chaos_doom1321 Thank you for you answer, really appreciate that! I see your point, but still would say that the atmosphere in first game would be destroyed with a remake. I know no other game that is so disturbing it is literally giving me hard time playing (horror fan here) with only the tension made by music and absolutely creepy, gruesome textures with no normal scenario which would give you a relief for even a while. Maybe older Silent Hills had something like that. I do not say I don't like the second game - I just found it less disturbing, creepy, less traumatic - less of everything that made me love first Alice. Second one was to me simply much more appealing to those people easily fascinated by madness who think being crazy is so great.
I don't know how to explain that, but there was something in those older games. That's why I would personally let this Alice stay as it is. Even if it means being forgotten in the future.
That part about the queen - You actually made a good point. Still I much more preferred the gruesome monster I feared to even get close to. And not finding enough of those creepy elements in the AMR, I just didn't enjoy it that much as AMA.
@@erierierieri Thanks also for reading my answer. I insist that Alice Madness Returns is an undervalued game. Gore and horror make American McGees Alice interesting, I agree. But AMR is not a worse game because is more "aesthetic" or "beautiful". It combines beauty, darkness and violence as the purest Gothic style. I know the game has its flaws, but it was mainly the fault of EA Games. Some weapons, enemies, bosses and scenarios were eliminated. Now we can have faith in Alice Asylum. I wish it had the virtues of the previous two games.
The jabberwocky is such a bastard in nightmare mode
It's a shame we'll probably never see a remaster of this game, what with EA owning the rights. I mean, they seem too busy irritating the entirety of the EU with their predatory monetization practices so I don't think they'll get around to this.

There is an item with the second boss, some kind of poison that makes Alice look like a bug
The grasshopper tea - not particularly useful in the Centipede boss and overall underutilized in the game in my opinion.

God the design for the Jabberwocky and Hatter is so cool, I love that steam-punk technology mixed with living things vibe.

Of course, what do you expect? It's an old game you know. It was released in 2000, and during those times graphics weren't that good.
