I just got mine and so far I love them. I don’t even have them setup right. I’m using a 2x4 for a heel plate because my new cockpit hasn’t arrived yet. I did a couple of races just to attempt to get a race so I didn’t lose a weeks progress on the season. To my surprise even with a half assed setup I finished 2nd on my first race. I felt like I could really feel where the threshold was right before lockup like never before. (Fanatec V3s) Also as far as the packaging goes I actually kind of appreciated the lack of “fluff.” They’re a really good pedal at a competitive price. All those little additions like fancy pamphlets, colored packaging with professional pictures and custom graphics all over the outside cost money. You the consumer are the one that pays for that. I think they have a very industrial feel to them, like they were designed to do a task and they do it well and that’s what they dedicated their resources too.
My buddies mind wasn’t blown when he did the unboxing but they are all business and that’s ok! After driving his pedals I’m actually considering the wheelbase they make for myself some day!
@@apexvisiontv I took the buy once cry once approach and went for the ASR4. I doubt I’ll add motion but I wanted something that could handle it if I decided to one day. I didn’t think I’d ever add a DD wheel and new pedals to my last one either yet here I am lol.

Thanks for the video! Sort of perfect timing. I went from V3's to Meca Cup 1's, and wanting to try something different. Love the Meca Cup 1's, but long-term customer support and reliability are a bit of a concern. So was considering the HE Ultimate + or the VRS. Mainly HE's for their highly rated customer service and proven industry standard. The HE Ultimate's are what you see on a lot of profession rigs, and pro "real" car drivers use them, but the VRS, from my research are made more for SIM racing. Which seems to be brilliant. I'm not trying to simulate a real car (e.g. Asetek ). I only use about 30 kg of brake force with my Meca Cup, and use socks. I simply want a very precise brake threshold point and good trail brake modulation (and they should be fairly low in noise or quiet in their operation). I run primarily open wheel on iRacing. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the HE U+, but your video has pretty much changed me mind to go with VRS.
I actually really like the meca cups so this is a good perspective. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I definitely loved the pedals. Thanks for watching!
Just get VRS, i was lucky to test friends VRS and got home HE ultimate (non plus) from other friend, he could sell me them for 500 eur, evwn for such price i did not liked the a lot, VRS came home could not be happier already 2 years
My first setup was a Simagic Alpha 15nm bundle with the fanatec cls elite V2 pedals on an NLR F-GT cockpit. I've recently "upgraded" to a VRS base and pedals, Turn racing steering wheel, and an ASR4 aluminum profile cockpit. Honestly, I think I preferred my Simagic setup, and it was obviously much cheaper. The Simagic wheel base felt just as detailed to me and lacked nothing. The VRS software is sort of wonky. The fanatec pedals, while not as adjustable as the VRS pedals, had a great load cell brake pedal and also lacked nothing in performance and feel. Sure, maybe my new rig chassis is stiffer, but it hasn't made me any faster and I'm still slow and struggling.
That’s good to know because I am kind of interested in the VRS wheelbase. It’s mainly between Simagic and Asetek for me now. Pedals I am leaning VNM Lite. I do love my turn racing wheel! Stronger Chassis for my CSL Elite V2 is my biggest priority
I went straight to Asetek Forte pedals. Never had Logitech or any beginner stuff. I regret getting the Forte pedals because the brake is super stiff and definately effect my driving in a negative way. I'm now considering the VRS. They brake seems a lot more normal and like a brick wall that does not move which is what I have now.
Asetek have some great gear but that stuff definitely isn’t entry level. The bundles are a really great deal so I understand it! But yeah these are another level over the Forte imo. Thanks for watching!
Elastomers (rubber) have hysteresis, springs do not. Elastomers are a non-Newtonian material and therefore behave as a spring + damper system (like a suspension) and so there is a time lag in the final steady-state position being reached after a change in force compressing them. Springs being just a spring has no time lag in the final steady-state being reached when a change in force of compression occurs. The time lag is the hysteresis.
I use sprints and it's all about dialing them in. From what I seen, you are using way more braking force then me. I use 33kg braking force, I don't have to press the pedal as hard under braking, for a shorter travel on my braking. And when you calibrate the gas pedal in the software and in game, make sure you hold the gas pedal just before the pedal stop. This way you know you are getting full throttle when you hold the gas pedal right to the stop. I noticed, when I was looking at telemetry, I wasn't getting full throttle, slowing me down 3 seconds. After I calibrated the gas that way, I was 3 seconds faster a lap
Thanks for watching the video! These were my buddies set ups. I’m looking forward to getting some high end brakes for myself. Chassis takes priority though. My pedal plate is tired 😅

So different from the sprints! I’ll never get over the 3 seconds lol

Just know mamy load cells are very stiff so you will still feel that but the forte are the stiffest of all yes to stiff.
nice jobs bros ❤

You’re supposed to add a top dead zone via the software not do what you did lol…
The brake of VRS is better then the Sprints, but the clutch and the throttle of the Sprints are better then the VRS.

do they really make you 3 seconds faster or are you just promoting?
