Lemon Drizzle Cake, Quick & easy 0511AM 6.9.24 is it down to which butter or marg you use as to how moist the sponge is? the cake i just made is somewhat dry....
I have made this simple recipe, and it is WONDERFUL. Ca't wait to make it again. I poured my batter into 4 mini loaf pans, so I ended up with 4 to make as gifts, and others to try. I cut down the bake time to 30 minutes. It's one of my new favorite recipes and will make them the rest of my life, they're that great!

Hello John, I made your lemon drizzle cake this afternoon. It was indeed quite easy to make. I did a few adjustments on the sugar content and added a tsp of pure lemon extract to the cake mixture. It turned out fabulously delicious. Thank you so much for this recipe. I will be making this again.

This has been a hit every time I have made it for an outing or birthday! I found it easier to "paint on" the infusion mixture with a brush. It soaked in much better as I bake this in a bundt pan.

What's the purpose using oil instead of butter (Salted or unsalted) and not having any milk?
Lemon Drizzle Cake, Quick & easy 0511AM 6.9.24 is it down to which butter or marg you use as to how moist the sponge is? the cake i just made is somewhat dry....
I have made this simple recipe, and it is WONDERFUL. Ca't wait to make it again. I poured my batter into 4 mini loaf pans, so I ended up with 4 to make as gifts, and others to try. I cut down the bake time to 30 minutes. It's one of my new favorite recipes and will make them the rest of my life, they're that great!

Hello John, I made your lemon drizzle cake this afternoon. It was indeed quite easy to make. I did a few adjustments on the sugar content and added a tsp of pure lemon extract to the cake mixture. It turned out fabulously delicious. Thank you so much for this recipe. I will be making this again.

May I suggest you include measuring in U.S. system as well, cups and tsp and tbsp makes it so much easier for your American viewers. I find making food from scratch at home you are much more aware of how much “bad stuff” goes in. And I know despite how nice it is, these should be eaten less often and in smaller portions than I do. Thats why I put an invite on my family group chat today to offer my fam to come round and share a slice with a cup of tea. Win win!

I like the way you use a table spoon to measure tablespoons! That is the way my grandma cooked. The woman never owned a set of measuring spoons or cups and everything she made was excellent. I miss her so much. Thanks for the video.

This has been a hit every time I have made it for an outing or birthday! I found it easier to "paint on" the infusion mixture with a brush. It soaked in much better as I bake this in a bundt pan.
