Hellooooo! Please ignore the Insta-Handle in this video - I finally opened up a dedicated bookstagram for this channel. Check it out if you like! It's @more.rebecca.reads ( instagram.com/more.rebecca.reads/ ) 🤗
What's increased my reading the most has been to read more than one thing at a time. If I don't feel like picking up one particular book at any given time, I'm usually still interested in reading a different one.
great tips! i think the biggest hurdle for me was feeling like i was worthy of free time. reading is such a mindful hobby that feels almost indulgent - you’re not connecting with people, you’re not making content, you’re not outwardly producing in any way. with my other free time activities (social media, journaling, exercising) i can still feel like i’m Producing. so i could really only read more once i worked on myself and felt that i deserve that time that was just for me and my inner self. that shift was huge and like you i’ve also gone from 1-2 books a month to 10+!
i actually never really thought about how thinking audiobooks are "not really reading" is so ableist! recently i got more educated and even though i love the way physical books make me feel, every once in a while i listen to audiobooks without the little voice in my head saying "well thats not really reading". so stupid what our minds make us believe!
Love your tips. I absolutely had to be so conscious with what I was actually spending my time on and choose to read instead. Your Notion plan sounds really interesting. I'd love to see a video on that.
Thinking about what I am going to read in advance was really helpful for me, too. I felt the same about audiobooks at first, like it´s not "proper" reading, but now I love them :D Thanks for video 😊
Great tips! I thought the same thing about audiobooks as not really reading. The physical book will always be my preferred choice but I started listening to audiobooks this year and my reading has doubled. I was surprised how many books I listened to while driving to work and doing housework. I also try to plan reading time and stay off my phone (easier said than done). I belong to a great book club which I have read and enjoyed books I wouldn’t normally pick up.

My best tip is to read before bed, even if it's just a few pages, and read while commuting!
A super beautiful video.. Thank u for the tips. Also your voice is calm and sweet and relaxing.
Watching u from Egypt 🇪🇬😍
Glad you enjoyed! Greetings from Germany 🤗

Oooh what an interesting thought! But I do get that - knowing that I'll be filming a Wrap Up at the end of the month also pushes me to read more 😅
Thanks for your motivation ♥️

Yes! A book club is so helpful in picking new books!
My absolute biggest problem with reading is that it makes me so tired, no matter what time of day it is or how much I've slept 😔
