You can just calculate the Median for the cases to easier see if outliers skew the average. You calculate the median by sorting the skins you got by value and take value of the middle skin is your median, if you have an even number of skins you add the value of the middle two skins and divide that by 2
I'd like to see the full math behind Average Return on Case, because (even with this anomaly bodycount sample size) it seems too far off. The average price of a skin in CS:GO Weapon Case 3 is $57.7 so they (obviously) included drop rates in their calculations, but still
the glove case value is hurt by the M4A1-S buff, since the buzz kill even being as beautiful as it isn't as useful as a M4A1-S Boreal Forest, on the ground.
So again, better to get the skin directly or buy cheaper skins with the thought that it might go up in price. Or even better, stock up on cases, those things always sell
