Such a sweet and underated gem ^^.Let's not forget the other character you can unlock once you've completed the game. Man,was he a fun one to play as.I love how he changes the dynamic of the game while giving It more familiar mechanics and feels.Overral,a really good game for any fans.
I remember playing Lament of Innocence while my dad (rip) was in town visiting. He had never witnessed a Castlevania game and he calmly watched me play, but was so intrigued because his love of horror and monster movies. He asked me "do you get to fight everything in the castle?" I told him "yep, they all want to kill me". He only got bored and walked away when I got to the shop menu.
Castlevania lament of innocence and curse of darkness were both ground breaking games for the simple fact that they were the first 2 3D Castlevania games that were good
I loved building and rebuilding my ultimate devil type. I think on my last play through it basically beat the game for me? It’s been a while... good game
This is my favorite Castlevania game, since the story is not around the Belmont's main story I found it refreshing and unique, the main character as well as its antagonist are very charming. It's a shame that there wasn't more content based on this story, I found some manga based on it, but it barely touches the Issac origin and the Netflix version didn't do very well with their stories neither. But the main fact of this game is the Soundtrack and the dark Gothic environment which is huge. I have the soundtrack in all my devices since 2007. Having the ability to create your own weapons and train your little devils to build them based on your needs on the game, made it just perfect for me at that time. I'm still playing it from time to time and definitely is my best game from this franchise. Lord of Shadows and the 2D versions are good, but this one is unique.
Finished Lament of Innocence earlier in the year and was kinda hesitant to start this game after the first castle but this video really gives me hope. Great review!!
I just started watching the anime series, and thought "hmmmm that guy Hector looks like that guy from the Xbox game I had...." Looked it up, and yep.....Hector is the main character of this game lolllll
@@Thebrotherhoodofgaming dude seriously! Playing the game.....he's a fucking badass who runs through endless hordes of monsters. In the anime? Oh boy.......cool and all, but also super tragic how he becomes the biggest bitch of the series.
I struggled to get into this on OG Xbox/PS2 or it could have been the other Castlevania title on PS2/OG Xbox, not entirely sure but if your saying its a fun time then I might need to revisit them and I might try it on PS2 cause I did have it on OG Xbox before. I'm playing the Shadows ones on PS3 too so thought it'd be cool to revisit them and I thankyou for your review good sir....SUBBED! PEACE
so I have a question I noticed that Curse of Darkness on the PlayStation 2 cost more than the original Xbox version can someone tell me what are the differences between the Xbox version and the PlayStation 2 version and why the PlayStation 2 version cost more than the original Xbox version??? And what version of the game is better???
Maybe do a review of castlevania order of ecclesia or dawn of sorrow or the gba games like aria of sorrow or maybe the spin-off fighting game judgement.
Too bad this review came before the 2017 Castlevania Netflix series. In that show its basically a combination of Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse with Castlevania Curse of Darkness.
I'm curious, what actually happened during the production of this game. The polycounts are somewhere between PS1 and PS2, they're _not_ on the level of other PS2 games (especially, of 2005). Game may play OK, but it looks like a complete mess, it's even hard to see what's happening on the screen.
This is in my top 5 of all time. In no particular order: Castlevania cod DmC (the one everyone hated) Final Fantasy Dissidia Fable Final Fantasy Crisis Core Edit: I loved how after you beat the game you could play as Trevor. I miss that in games. Fuck DLC, greedy pricks
So you did a review of one of the best Castlevania games and didn't even mention Koji Igarashi AKA IGA. this man knows how to put together a GREAT Metroid-vania style game and has time and time again proven that. I would have like to seen more explanation of the Innocent Devil system as well as the the in depth crafting system. It seemed like you said "yeah they exist" and "they are part of the game" It sounded like you did like them and you didn't explain what the mechanics that you liked and why you liked them. I guess I like a more in depth analysis.

Where did u guys get those shirts? They're cool as hell
This game was EXTREMELY FUN and UNDERRATED
I just got back into it on pcsx2 the laser sword and the mini gun are so badass!
My favorite of the 3D Castlevanias.

The only good one

That's a nice thing to remember, thanks for sharing that and sorry for your loss
This game deserves a HD remaster. We all need it
I still have bad memories of this games optional boss. God lordy he is unforgiving if you're not properly equipped.
only pne i never beat was the meat-hall boss
Castlevania lament of innocence and curse of darkness were both ground breaking games for the simple fact that they were the first 2 3D Castlevania games that were good
The n64 ones were good

I've been watching @TBOGaming for 3 years now. One of the best channels in UA-cam.
this game aged amazingly after the netflix show
I'd actually love to see a 3D symphony of the night but at least 360 compatible I hate games trying to compete with the newest technology
I love Castlevania curse of Darkness, along with Symphony of the Night it's one of my favorite games in the series.
Best 2d: sotn
Best 3D: cod
Abandoned castle is the best track in the game
Fucking sick track
You guys are awesome. Keep up the great work!

Lamont of innocence was the best ps2 castlevaina
Did you call this LIH-MINT of Innocence?
I haven't played this one - can you tell me if it's better than Castlevania 2 - Simon's Quiche?
The best creature was the Phoenix at MAX Level. You could defeat Dracula in 1 minute or less.
The music in this game is amazing, Trevors theme?
Baljhet Mountains?
Agreed. Nostalgia overload.
Both this and Lament had some PHENOMENAL tracks…some of Michiru Yamane’s best work IMO
Finished Lament of Innocence earlier in the year and was kinda hesitant to start this game after the first castle but this video really gives me hope. Great review!!

which is really sad when you see just how different he is in the show compared to here.

Great review guys!!
Thanks for the review! Have you played king's field series?
If they can't do the classic castlevania tunes to perfectly for the mod of the game I don't want them. Gotta hit the Surgeons Rule margin.
Does this game have the option of switching the audio languages? Japanese or English?

The only 3D castlevania games I did enjoy playing are both Lords of Shadows

Yes, but the show's take was entirely different. some were actually very unhappy with what they did to Hector's character in the show.
I know I'm late here but my request is for you guys to review either the digimon games or the old pokemon ones.

Castlevania cod

Final Fantasy Dissidia
Fable
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
