In real life too Raj Babbar has been an opportunist. He had an affair with Smita Patil leaving his wife Nadira and kids Arya and Juhi Babbar and went back to them only after Smita patil died during delivery. He also did not bring up or be around his love child Pratik Babbar, with the result, Pratik, now 37, has had massive emotional, behavioural problems and drug addiction in the past years. People think it is cool to have extra marital affairs and kids out of wedlock. But I feel sorry for Pratik who had to be brought up by his maternal grandparents, without the love and care of either his mom and dad. Plus the guilt that his mom Smita Patil died just days after he was born, from post delivery complications. He never really got to know her directly. The least Raj Babbar could have done was to actively be involved in Pratik's upbringing. But first wife Nadira obviously accepted back only Raj Babbar but not his love child. Am sure one of the conditions to accept him back would have been to have nothing to do with Pratik. Smita Patil's parents too would understandably have been hostile towards Raj Babbar after Smita Patil died bearing his child. Hence may not have encouraged his visits. The maximum brunt of hostility therefore was borne by poor Pratik.

Fantastic story. It's the remake of Dial M For Murder. Raj Babbar and Dimple acted brilliantly. Danny too was at his best as a cop. This is the second time I watched this movie. Bappi Lahiri music gave some beautiful songs in this movie.
