    I have a Viking that we purchased about20 years ago. It still sews like a dream! It’s a heavy machine so it does machine quilting so easily!

    Hi, thanks for sharing this video! I'm wondering if there is a reverse stitch on this machine? Thanks.

    This machine sews beautiful and the backside looks just as perfect as the frontside! Its a smol, not so heavy machine, but has much power to sew through 5 mm Felt with ease! IMO a very beginnerfriendly Unit. The backstich knob will get stuck after some years, but thats easyly fixed. Just open the backcover and clean with alcohol or washing Petroleum (NO Lampoil!!) the grime out of the shaft, while wiggle the Mechanism till its free again. clean all fluids, so nothing gets on the belt!! then oil it and use the button 30 times to work it in! Done!

    I'm considering purchasing one at the moment and I'm torn between this machine and Bagat Vishnja as they are at the same price point here

      This is a great machine but I'm not familiar with the Bagat Vishnja. Good luck!

    Just got a 3610. Got all cleaned and oiled. Good stitches. Problem with stitch length. Strait stich only makes one length. No matter having selector on longest setting?
    Using guitermann thread 40 weight

      It might need service by a technician. There might be clogged up old grease making it so it can't move from one stitch length to the next?

    I found one of these shopping at La Strada (the street) but it came without the accessories and I was wondering if people who found this video and have one can tell me is there is anything special about the presser feet and the "ankle attachment that connects them to the machine. I found a reference to the needle offset being different and I see you mention the bobbins are somewhat unusual. Before I get into cleaning and lubricating it I thought I'd better line my ducks up.
    Thanks for this video.

      Most machines take either high shank or low shank presser feet and this is low shank. Normally you can use any low shank presser foot even if it's a different brand. So you need the part the presser foot snaps on to as well? Your machine basically just has the bar coming down and then nothing?

    Hi, where can we buy the power cord of this sewing machine, please? The jack in the machine has 4 pins and on the pedal has two pins.

      Hello, check and see if you have any Viking dealers or repair techs nearby and call and see if they have any. You can also search online. If it’s cheap enough you could buy a whole machine for the power cord as a last resort. Some other models might have the same power cord.

      @pindropshop  4 місяці тому

      You can use a range of sizes but I used the Schmetz Universal in a size 90/14. We have them on our website if you need to order-- www.shoppindrop.com/shop/c/p/Schmetz-Universal-Sewing-Machine-Needles---Variety-5-pack-x61450394.htm

      It must be a really close model but slightly different. I do see the Viking logo is missing from the front of yours, but I wonder what other differences there are?

      I believe there are 3310, 5310, 3610, 5610 and 5710. They all look the same, or very similar.
