- The greatest week of the year is finally here, Hershey AACA Fall Swap Meet!! This year we had an amazing week of weather, a swap meet full of great cars and parts, and visiting with friends we only see once a year. Judging by the sky high prices seen on some of the stuff, I'll bet a lot of it went back home with the vendors.

My understanding is that 40 Mercurys had alot of styling influence from Edsel Ford. He wanted to add some European touches. The thin chrome window garnishes were one of his ideas.

Your Mercury purchase is great. Beautiful and practical driver. I would really like to visit the Hershey meet some time. The stuff that shows up is amazing.

Hershey has sure relaxed their tolarance for hot rod parts and modified cars! Remember when there was a sign on the entrance road that read NO HOT RODS.

Matt I'm in love with your 40 Merc. Awesome car. If it were mine i would add a 2x2 intake, cam, aluminum heads, headers, dual exhaust out the back and cruise the wheels off it. Awesome Hershey content!!!!!!
Oh , I probably would make everybody mad with the frame at time marker 9:26 ¡ I've always wanted to take a old frame then build strange version a '57 Chey Bel Aire out of it !
The Model A at about 12:10 is a very rare car. Note that it appears to be a fordor sedan, but it still has the "coupe pillar" between the cowl and the front doors. All actual fordors had no pillar. This means that that car is a taxi cab. Very rare in the Model A world.
Now you can have a mildly chopped Merc and an extremely chopped Merc!!!!
The car at time marker 4:28 reminds me the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car !

The asking prices usually have people’s personal information.
You know what they say,if you have to ask the price then you probably can't afford it
