Glad that in her debut match she was involved in a goal as she always was in Arsenal. Any game she played for Arsenal, she was directly involved in every second goal regardless of how many minutes she played. A lot of curiosity from some people were that she might end up in the bench, but we knew that is never going to be the case and today we witnessed that she is the main midfield engine of Lyon now!
Lyon are the biggest girls' club in the world so you can't compare with the easy starting position they had at Arsenal. Here it was only a sort of Lyon B team against Barça because it was missing: Hegerberg, Le Sommer, Macario, Marosczan, Bjork, Egurrola, Carpenter, Mbock, Buchanan, Bouaddi ..... (all players world top and usually starters with Lyon ..) Danielle Van De Donk is courageous to join this monstrous team because there is no certainty of always playing like at Arsenal ...
