Loved this! So happy I just happened to find your video. I too love strolling around flea markets & thrift stores, finding little things to make my house a home. I've visited Long Beach several times (from England) but never knew about this market... probably just as well as I can only imagine my international airplane baggage would be sooo overweight 😆😊

I just bought 5 of those refrigerator glass dishes with the lids and veggies on them, I love them, so much better than plastic bags for produce and prettier in the fridge.
Love the sheep pic too! I just said to myself yesterday, I need a house for every style and look that I like because I like entirely too much stuff!! 😆

Those rugs your daughter had, those were gorgeous, she knows good colors when she sees them, I would have never looked twice at an orange rug but she is great at coordinating, just like momma!
Take those silver containers home!!! you know you want those! I have 8 of them, some are even packed, I should get those out but I'm running out of table surface space. I am going to get a marble slab for the back of my toilet then I can load up all my jars on it.
OH! those carved chairs...😐 Yes, beautiful buffet table, love the legs. Well move there! what's keeping you in cold Canada? think of the tropical plants you could have. I have ALL Persian rug pillows on my sofa, took the original ones off and loaded it up will rug pillows and needle point tapestry pillows, got a couple leopard ones in fur on there too and a leopard throw on the end, all in turquoise/aqua blue, gold and green, sofa is gold midcentury. Ya, I love this stuff too much.

I was going back trying to watch some of your earlier videos. I came across one where you are preparing to plant the garden in front of the house. I wish I had a green thumb like you. I really enjoyed shopping with you! When I saw that "Bunnykins" set, I jumped out of my chair!!! I had a set growing up. However, unfortunately all pieces but one broke (thanks to my cousins). It was really exciting to see those pieces again. Thanks for that brief trip down memory lane!!!

Courtney has a very good eye for rugs. The sofa sold was really a good find with all the intact tables to purchase. So much for the eye to take in. That urn was something to see also. I appreciate the video. One note can you imagine those vendors have to haul in all those breakables and large items and then they have to bring them back. Doesn't that make you wonder? You really have to make sure you have a cart at least if you really want to buy multiple items. I was really looking forward to seeing this video when you told us about it and thanks for it.
Yes she does …they bought lots 4 trips to the car , so happy for them . Yes you need a cart for sure . And I would not want to pack that stuff up your right 🤷🏼♀️
How fabulous, can we say sensory overload !! I enjoyed it so and didn't have to walk or spend a dime LoL. But those small mirrors with the chunky ornate frames were my favorite pick for sure. It has been too long since I went to a place like this :) due to covid mainly, I tried to stay out of crowds but it is time to venture out again. Thank you for sharing, really enjoyed it. I love the blue giraffe lamps. My Mom loves bunnies too. She had sixteen of them as pets when she was a little girl. Her brother passed away unexpectedly two years ago, and they weren't speaking at the time. They hadn't spoken to each other in over ten years, and when we went to clean out his apartment we found several different bunny figurines in cabinets, and drawers. There was an iron bunny door stop sitting on top of a sealed envelope that had my Mom's pon it, it was a birthday card. I guess even though they weren't speaking he was still buying bunnies for her
Aww I wish that they had of mended fences, cause obviously affected him , I don’t know there store so it’s not my business, but I believe I’m most case try to talk over the problem as life is short .. with that said I don’t know there story . I do love that he collected bunnies in her honour 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇

I love the town of Long Beach! My dad and step mom sold jewelry they made at the flea market there in the 70s. Sterling and semi-precious stone jewelry. Another friend lived there for years and years and I loved to visit. Such a nice, almost Cleaver neighborhood, with homes of every architectural type all the way down to the beach and neighbors knowing each other and hanging out. Of course, it's 15 years or so since I last visited, because everyone I used to know there is now dead...no idea if it is still so idyllic.

You're so right about the cushions. I was given a beautiful iron patio set. Two chairs, a sofa, a serving cart and two end tables. The cushions were kind of dry rotted, and they were this awful pea soup green with brown and orange flowers. I looked into having a new set made and the cheapest estimate I got was $950.00. I'm saving to buy a house, and that's one of the things I'm going to splurge on. I thought I had a great idea to make little covers for each cushion out of a four way stretch fabric. It worked, but it looks pretty cheap.
If you can see you can make your own , good fabrics is not cheap but I see amazing fabrics, bolts of it at the thrift stores, keep your eyes open and it will find you 🍃🩷🩷🩷
@@mamabrooke I got lucky about ten years ago and got six yards of vintage fabric from a yard sale. I think it's 1960's, three different prints two yards each. I'm going to have covers made for my couch pillows. I've been collecting down feather throw pillows whenever I see them at thrift stores. I got the fabric almost ten years ago, and knew I would eventually use it for my couch pillows, and then two years ago I found the greatest vintage sectional at the Restore for $55.00 and it's a perfect match for the pillow fabric.
