Stuart, I'd fallen behind in watching flosstubes this past year as my caregiving left me no extra time. So this evening I'm thoroughly enjoying binge watching all the episodes! You have such a lovely voice. I enjoy all your projects, but I'm loving the fabrics of the project bags. You have quite an eye for color. I've ordered a good chunk of assorted fabrics❤ Love Amanda, we are missing her but everyone needs time for their families and their lives❤
Yes I think you should put some projects on a wheel and spin to see what full coverage you will do. I love watching Jenn the caffeinated crafter and how she rotates her projects into games and I love how she does all her boards. I still do not know how she gets so much done in a week. I am retired and I can not get as much done as she gets done but then again I am a lot older than she is too. Loved all your projects and your finishes. I love when you go into your cupboard to see what you are going to pull out next. Happy Stitching.
I love that dragon. He's the best one I've seen. I don't think I can have the Wild Hunt in my house. I'd be staring at him all day and never get anything done! 😍😍😍
Bella trip was lovely. I have not taken the plunge on any of the fancy ladies but they are very tempting. Satsuma Street was a such a cute stitch. I will have to look for the next stitch a long. Love seeing your projects . Yes sometimes ignorance is good - then you can be surprised when you do open that bag and see what is in it. Happy stitching 🧵
Stuart for beading, I use a tacky bob or a tacky bill (one is the original, one is the new version. It's a cd case with a sticky film inside to hold your beads so you don't drop or lose them. The other item you could use is a key chain, with a paper insert you can write on, to attach to your project bags (from Amazon.) Quite handy as the beaded chain slips thru your zipper pull. Just a suggestion. We love seeing the project bags and what's in them! I love to kit projects so I did quite a lot of that during the pandemic.
Wow. Monster house and Bellatrix are nothing short of stunning. Well done you! Love your floss tubes. Please let Amanda know that she is terribly missed.
Really enjoyed the visit Stuart...Loved seeing your finish again in all it's Glory, your stitching is so beautiful and loved All the details in this chart!! Love your idea of spinning for charts ❤. Hope you have a Great week with lots of relaxing stitching time, bye for now,JoDee 🥰
I'm half disappointed that the workout music wasn't in the background! It's such fun seeing what's in all the mystery project bags, and your work is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking the leap and sharing.
I love watching you and I love the stories you share the monster house is magnificent. You are truly a beautiful stitcher and I am enjoying your journey in crossstitching please continue
Love watching your progress and seeing what you have in your cupboard! Bellatrix looks wonderful and makes me want to get mine out, and seeing one of your previous videos made me start thinking about Cinderella from Bella Filipina. I had my LNS order the new Black Magic Academy, Belinda Botanical, for me. When they did that they also ordered copies of Alice which of course I had to add to my stash. She will be my first of that series and I'm thinking of doing Cinderella after that. Happy Stitching!
Great stitching. I did almost drop my stitching in surprise when I looked up to see you holding up progress on a rather ripped bloke who appeared to have a stags head positioned over his ‘tackle’ as my Dad would have said. I recovered quickly mind and thought ‘fair dos Stuart - you stitch what you love’…now where do I find that chart…Great flosstube as ever, Steph from northern England 😊😅🎉
Hi Stuart, Thanks for flosstube 4 Lots of cool stuff such as Introducing new to me cross stitch pattern designers and flosstubers, all the differnt ideas for background fabric showing just how crative cross stitching is ! Thanks !
I grew up reading the Dragonriders of Pern and absolutely love them! Also love your wips and finishes. I'm also working on Scary Sampler, and I have added a few of your projects to my to-do list that is ever growing. Cannot wait to see what you'll be working on next! Also love the spinner idea. ~Sassy~
Refreshing that you engage with your audience by asking for their opinions or sharing a funny anecdote related to your stitching adventures. I feel like I've learned something new and are part of your stitching journey. Happy filming!
Hi Stewart, enjoyed all the projects you are working on. Loved your finished Bellatrix (sp?). Your project bags are really good and unique. I also shy away from counting all my WIPS, ignorance is bliss 😅. Happy stitching and have a great retreat.🪡🪡
Another fabulous video! I especially love the cupboard pull section. I like your idea for your full coverage pieces and might do the same. I was toying with the idea of getting each one to 10% but maybe a stitch number is more realistic. Hmmm... Looking forward to your next video. Patti
Another great episode Stuart! Your Bellatrix is stunning i saw her when you showed her off at the retreat, just stunning. I love the first bag that you showed (the blue & white one) hopefully it will be available st the retreat 🤞. I look forward to seeing your next episode xx
Congrats on your finishes and progress. The fabric choices you make are very inspiring to me: it really helps ti see what others have chosen for their work. ❤ ~Elizabeth
Stuart, you are an amazing stitcher! Bellatrix is beautiful, your Haunted house is so fun, and I can't wait to see how you progress on your giant "naughty" piece.😂
I heard no buzzing, and risky or not I doubt if you would be “drummed out of the Brownies” if you take some care, as you demonstrated. Yes, Hearn caught my eye too. 😉. Yes, getting black fabric will help a lot. It is what I would do. Enjoyed your video, again. Looking forward to the next one. I also enjoy you chatting, very soothing when I am trying to sew and watch. 😊
I cracked up at “drummed out of the Brownies” - haven’t heard that for years! Also I am here for you to show anything slightly quirky, off kilter or naughty themed. Please share them LOL - take care, Nic x
Love your Satsuma Street finish, what great fabric and a fun piece, but that Bellatrix is just incredible, loved the naughty full coverage as well. I seem to stitch on full coverage seasonally and I really have to go with pieces that are speaking to me or nothing gets any progress. I have tried wheels off and on but it always spins and what it picks I don't want to do so I have given up on that. It definitely works for many! Happy Stitching
Gorgeous finishes. I love how you’re just as surprised/excited when you open your cupboard bags! A well-placed needle minder should keep your projects G-rated for us to see your progress 😏 Thank you for another wonderful video. Love your work and variety of projects.
Hi Stuart Love all of your WIPS - Beautiful Progress on them. Love your Finishes. They are so pretty. I ordered my Fabric from 123stitch for Honeymoon Sunset. The Fabric is on its way. I cannot wait til I get the Fabric. I am doing mine on 25 Count - 1 x 1 Full Cross. I love your Bags. They are very pretty. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
Love your Satsuma Street SAL finish! I'm stitching the long red sampler you referred to by Hands Across the Sea called Maria Vincenza Lariccha myself on 18 count Platinum Zweigart with Kreinik Silk Mori in medium teal. Enjoyed your flosstube! Keep them coming! Ashley
Your finishes turned out great. Glad to know you are not intimidated by any type of cross stitch (Theresa Wentzler). Hers are challenging. Have not worked up my nerve to work on one of her designs yet. Happy stitching.😊
Absolutely love your dragons bag. I'm obsessed with them at the moment! I have a few full coverage dragon charts but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to start them
A relaxing stitchy video your so calm, I'm just a blur doing everything. Love seeing your work, do you think the naughty stitch is going to be big enough 😂 Thank you so much, just going to pull the curtains getting dark, I'm also Scotland.
When the gps first came out…predating apps on cell phones…my husband programmed the voice to be Sean Connery. It wouldn’t matter what craft you spoke about, I would enjoy your voice. But I am a stitcher and flosstuber so I love the content too. 🦉🍁🍂🧵🪡
I too love to run my fingers through my threads 😂😂 I’m keen to see more of your surprise bags and the contents. Now that’s a proposition with the bags, I may just have to email 😊
My daughter worked several nudes for assignments in art school. To share her work with her grandmother, she made a small rectangle of paper with the word "censored" printed on it that she used to cover bits that would offend her Nana and attached them with Washi tape before taking pictures to share. Maybe you could do something similar so you can continue to share your naughty stitch with us as the project progresses. I enjoy seeing all your work.
Wow Bellatrix is stunning! Amazing finish! love that you found Angel of Frost! If you wanna start that together someday let me know :). My friend Yoshi also has the pattern! The hunter god piece is fun!!
You do know why your friends like the god rather hunky. Where did you purchase the Tom of Finland chart? Enjoyed seeing your WIPS. Thank you for sharing and happy stitching.
I am really enjoying your Flosstube episodes, your stitching is lovely! How do you manage to accomplish so much? How much time a day/week do you dedicate to cross stitch? I stitch every day and never seem to get anywhere.
Your FO's are just stunning! Great work! I also love the Italian sampler by HATS. I think the one you are thinking of is "Maria Vincenza Lariccha 1837" I have a question: do you and Carl share your lives with any pets? I have cats. A clowder, really, but they give me much joy 😊
Why oh why did you have to show The Wylde Hunt? I thought about stitching it years ago & decided against it. Now it's back on my wish list. Fortunately there's a mini version because there's no way I want to tackle the supersize. I just discovered your channel & watched all your videos. I enjoyed seeing your WIPs & finishes.
Hi Stuart... love your videos. Did you mention in one of your videos about a new app that is an alternative to pattern keeper? If so, what is it called please so I can look into it? Thanks Deborah
Hey Stuart….another get one. Nice finishes. Do u use paper pattern or a cross stitch app to mark off your stitches for your full coverage pieces? I am going to attempt one , parking threads and not sure which way to go.
Stuart! So good to see you & I enjoyed seeing all of your WIPs & pieces. I start my pieces in the bottom left as well so I enjoy seeing your starts! For the full coverage piece called The Wild Hunt, you mentioned it was super size not max color. I’m not familiar with the designer Heaven & Earth (I might not have heard this designers name correctly). What is the difference between super size and max color? Is a full coverage design considered super size?
Hello, as I understand it Heaven and Earth designs tend to be full coverage. You can get patterns in different styles. Normal size, or Mini size or super size, which are bigger than normal. They also do something with the colours as well. They all tend to be large, like the Hearn cross stitch Stewart showed. I have not been brave enough to even consider buying one - yet. Hope this helps.
Hi Stuart, I recently found your channel and am now caught up on all your videos! I enjoy seeing the variety of designs you are stitching. I was so surprised to see the Scary Sampler by Heartstring Samplery as I recently won her Scenic Sampler pattern. They are very similar and would make great companion pieces. I have a question on the Stitch Holders for Knitting. I am not a knitter but I like the idea of storing floss on these. I searched for these and mostly find that they are sold in bundles of various sizes. Are you able to buy these in one large size and how large do they get? Can you swing the floss around to the other side of the holder when searching though them? Thanks for the tip and for any follow up!
I like the idea of “spinning a wheel” and then stitching 5,000 stitches. It’s very innovative. Also I just LOOOOOOVE your finished Halloween piece. It’s so gorgeous 😍 PS - can someone tell me… what does FO mean? I’m very new to all of this. Thank you 💙
I really enjoyed this video and loved seeing your FOs (Bellatrix!) and other works -- you are so talented. Haven't thought about the Anne McAffrey books in AGES but how wonderful they were! Question: are you doing the Bella Filipina SAL? I just committed and as it will be my first Bella I'm a bit intimidated..... Have a wonderful couple of weeks, Stuart, and happy Halloween!
Again your video makes me happy. I’m trying something- whenever I finish a larger project I use the rest of the month to work on older WIPs. I also plan my next project and ‘kit up’ at least 2 new ones. I never saw the spooky sampler by Heartstrings that you showed. Fell in love with it and ordering the chart. I’m ‘allowed’ because I just finished a large dragon piece called Tree by Fire Wing Designs. Thanks for your time.
Stuart, help me understand what compels you to start such a massive piece.... 1 over 1 on 28. Is it the challenge, the finish??? W O W !!! What a serious commitment to full coverage. I am not that strong, and avoid full coverage at all cost. Love your projects and appreciate your videos.
That Bellatrix is stunning, beautiful fabric choice for it. Also, I really love all the different colorful projects you have.
My God your stitching is gorgeous! Another really enjoyable video … your “naughty stitches” cracked me up 😂 More! More! 👏🏼😄

Your video made a lovely start to my Sunday here in the States! Your work is always so fun to see. 🙂
Yes I think you should put some projects on a wheel and spin to see what full coverage you will do. I’m obsessed with the vinyl dragon bag it’s beautiful 😍
Glad I found your channel lovely work ☺️
I love that dragon. He's the best one I've seen. I don't think I can have the Wild Hunt in my house. I'd be staring at him all day and never get anything done! 😍😍😍

Congrats on your finish of the Satsuma Street, it's gorgeous, love that purple fabric!

Awesome finishes. Also love the Cupboard of mystery bags. Your bags are amazing. The Dragon ones are my favorites. Thanks for sharing.

So many lovely treasures, thank you for sharing ❤

I think you need to work on that Scary Sampler. I love all the symbolism, thanks for sharing that part. Very fun!

I know the Pern books well in fact I met my partner because of Anne McCafferys bulletin board. I also met Anne at DragonCon.
I read them all too.

A large fig leaf needle minder would solve the problem some people might have with the art.
I can't believe you showed that wip..😂 admittedly it is still at a non x-rated stage.. lovely to see you as always
