It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) observed:
None shall enter the Fire (of Hell) who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of Iman and none shall enter Paradise who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride.
- Sahih Muslim 91b, Book of Iman.
He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise. A person (amongst his hearers) said: Verily a person loves that his dress should be fine, and his shoes should be fine. He (the Prophet) remarked: Verily, Allah is Graceful and He loves Grace. Pride is disdaining the truth (out of self-conceit) and contempt for the people.
- Sahih Muslim 91a, Book of Iman.
Looking down on others and having suspicion can be a sin...
Alot of Sahabas before Islam were sinful and Islam guided them.
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) as saying:
Don't nurse grudge and don't bid him out for raising the price and don't nurse aversion or enmity and don't enter into a transaction when the others have entered into that transaction and be as fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. **It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim.** All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith: his blood, his wealth and his honour.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. **Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.** People do not gather in the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, but that tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them, and Allah will mention them to those near Him. Whoever is slow to good deeds will not be hastened by his lineage.”

Abdullah bin 'Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
**"The merciful are shown mercy by Ar-Rahman. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens.**
- Abi Dawud 4941 (Sahih Albani), Book of Sunnah
The womb is named after Ar-Rahman, so whoever connects it, Allah connects him, and whoever severs it, Allah severs him."
- Tirmidhi 1924, Book of piety and righteousness
Similar in - Bukhari 7376, Kitab Tawhid & Muslim 2319, Book of Fadail or virtues and merits
This is because Knowledge is Mercy and its end goal should be Mercy,

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, **“Do you know what backbiting is?”** They said, “Allah and his messenger know best.” The Prophet said, “To mention your brother in a way he dislikes.” It was said, “What do you think if what I said about him is true?” The Prophet said, “If what you say about him is true, it is backbiting. If it is not true, it is slander.”
- Sahih Muslim 2589, book of righteous manners.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “None of you will have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
In another narration, the Prophet said, “Until he loves for his neighbor what he loves for himself.”
- Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 13, Book of Revelation & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 45 Book of Iman.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
A drunk was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) and he ordered him to be beaten (lashed). Some of us beat him with our hands, and some with their shoes, and some with their garments (twisted in the form of a lash). When that drunk had left, a man said, "What is wrong with him? May Allah disgrace him!" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not help Satan against your (Muslim) brother."
- Bukhari 6781, Book of Hudud.
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
- Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6011, Book of Manners & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586, book of righteous manners.
A man was once given advice, he said you know who I am, he was told, you were a fluid, you carry najasa & and will be eaten by worms, anything else?
So we should be humble! Don't look down on a believer... they can be a hidden awliya, but want good, with advice, dua etc.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of tales. Do not seek out faults, do not spy on each other, do not contend with each other, do not envy each other, do not hate each other, and do not turn away from each other. Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers.”
