  • In this video we will share the Profiling Experience with the "Kemper Stage" !!! We will go through all the details: the amps profiled...the gear we need to make profiles, the signal chain...obviously we will follow together the profile process and we will also compare the sounds of the real amps against the sounds of the profiles done together with the Kemper...and finally I will give you my 2 cents...I hope it's gonna be pretty interesting and ... fun...and please don't forget to subscribe and hit the notification bell...it would be really helpful!!!

    Leo, ur video is the best explain how to profile on UA-cam. I just received my Kemper yesterday really impressed it. First I thought gonna get Helix for less headache but will get stuck with factory amp given by Line 6. By doing this way have more freedom, eventhough it take a bit of space and gear for set up but it is more real and fun like what u doing.

    The best tutorial on UA-cam! Very easy to understand. I've got a question - let's say I'm profiling Tech BDDI bass preamp direct with no cab, can I listen to it through headphone output on Kemper?

    • @LeoGibsonGtr
      @LeoGibsonGtr  4 роки тому

      Hi Rafaels! Thank you, your appreciation is really important for me!!. As regards your question, for sure you can profile a preamp. As regards listening via headphones: do you mean listening the exact sound of the preamp, or the preamp coupled with a power amp and a cab?

    Ciao Leo! complimenti per il video! utilizzo una Scarlett 2i2 ed un audio-tecnica at2035, la Focusrite fa anche da preamp avendo la phantom. solo che non so da dove uscire poi per entrare nel Kemper! le line out dietro dove normalmente si collegano le casse possono andare bene in questo caso?

    • @LeoGibsonGtr
      @LeoGibsonGtr  2 роки тому +1

      Ciao, scusa per la tarda risposta. Non sono sicuro, tipicamente il preamp del microfono esce con un "pre amp out" mentre la scheda audio esce con un "line out", che dovrebbero essere diversi. Non dovresti danneggiare le apparecchiature, ma non credo che in termini di suono siano equivalenti. Prova a cercare su google la differenza tra "pre amp out" e "line out" e poi puoi provare a chiedere a Kemper se i risultati si equivalgono.
      Un caro saluto e sono contento che ti piaccia il canale!

      You can do it. Now I use the mixer in my Apollo interface to make profiles, so that I can even mix more than one mic. The I/O depend from the mixer you are gonna use, I think. I'm not able to suggest the I/O not knowing the mixer...I'm sorry

      Hi, actually if I remember it well, I'm using the same PU: the neck PU. I think, but it's just an opinion, that the Kemper seems to be just e little bit more saturated. But maybe I was just playing a little bit differently the two phrases: I was also using my fingers, so I may have touched a little bit differently the strings and this could have influenced the sound. Sorry if I'm not able to more precise...Thank you for your message!!!

    How to reamp with the Kemper stage?

  • @guidocapiotto1937
    @guidocapiotto1937 4 роки тому

    Ciao Leo, complimenti per la demo, se io dovessi usare solo il mic dritto nel Kemper bypassando il pre ho bisogno ugualmente dell'adattatore jack stereo o posso usare anche un normale cavo microfonico xlr-jack mono?

    • @LeoGibsonGtr
      @LeoGibsonGtr  4 роки тому

      Ciao Guido, due considerazioni:
      1) se usi il microfono tipicamente hai bisogno di un pre, da un lato per alimentarlo e dall'altro perchè altrimenti il segnale è troppo debole.
      2) i cavi XLR, grazie ad un cavo aggiuntivo al loro interno, riducono il rumore, ed il jack stereo gestisce questo cavo aggiuntivo. Se usi un jack mono, non sfrutti questa caratteristica dei cavi XLR
      Hi Guido, two considerations:
      1) if you use the microphone typically you need a pre, on one side to power it and on the other because otherwise the signal is too weak.
      2) XLR cables, thanks to an additional cable inside them, reduce noise, and the stereo jack manages this additional cable. If you use a mono jack, you don't take advantage of this feature of XLR cables
      Thank you for your message!
