While the authenticity of many of these items may be in question, the bizarre act of eating them all was undeniably awesome and made for an unforgettable global mukbang adventure.
We hope y’all enjoy this week’s episode and please be sure to give the video a ‘LIKE’ and subscribe if you’re new to our eating show for plenty more food challenges, mukbangs, and general eating entertainment!

FAQ’s:
Most of your questions were probably answered in this video:
• The Longest Mukbang Ch...
Q: How do you not gain weight?
Well, we currently are but here’s a quick answer as to how we managed to do weekly food challenges for a year and a half without gaining much it:
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training tossed in) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these challenges. The calories consumed in a food challenge are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a challenge but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our love for endurance sports and said discipline with our daily diets.
Q: Can you make a “What I eat in a day” / fitness focused video?
A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, this channel is intended primarily for food entertainment. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within this genre and we’re constantly experimenting and trying to improve upon our style to make our channel a unique experience. Food is our passion while fitness is our discipline so, while we currently only have the availability to produce one quality piece of content a week, food-centered videos is where we’ll be focusing our attention (and trust us, it’s more fun for all of us this way). Thats not to say it will never happen - it’s just not a top priority for us.
Hey, Fam!
Hope everyone enjoys today’s video!
As mentioned, most things we brought to today’s challenge were chosen off of accessibility and affordability (bros gotta ball on a budget 😅), so please be understanding with the variety we had and if we weren’t able to represent your country this time around. We hope to do another like this sooner or later in which we are able to bring some treats from many of the countries not represented in this one, and also some more authentic, non grocery store versions when finances allow.
Thanks for all of your love and support on the recent videos and we’ll see you again in the next one!
Much love,
Pete and Nate

Just had your channel suggested and have been binge watching ever since. Then i see your From little rhody! I grew up there and still live in the NE. Some amazing food in providence! I am definitely enjoying every video!
Im gonna enjoy this delicious one in the morning while eating "healthy' breakfast! You guys are so great to watch. Thank you for the dedication
We appreciate the love and hope you enjoy your breakfast! Thanks for allowing us to spend it with ya 😎
Much love!
Yes boys! Another awesome video. If you would like to do Australian sweets let me know. That would be a fun challenge too.
Love your work!
Australian desserts would be epic!! We’ll have to do some research and see what options peak the takedowns twins interest 😁😁 Always appreciate the love! Stoked you enjoyed! 🤘🤘
That and desserts from new Zealand go hand in hand !!!
I’ve been going wild on the desserts for a week straight for my birthday and this makes me feel less bad about it haha. Keep it up guys I wish you the best
It’s all about balance. We may go a bit too hard, but you have to celebrate and indulge from time to time 😎 Hope you enjoyed/are enjoying the birthday festivities! Much love!
most creative channel out there. only channel i have notifications on for! favorite idea of yours is the mystery challenges!!!
Wow! Seriously appreciate that! We’ve been talking about squeezing in another mystery challenge sometime soon, so hopefully not too much longer before we bring one back around 😎🙏
Much love!
@@TheTakedownTwins love to hear it! keep it up the great content!
ok so how are this amazing content creators only 25k subs cmon guys give the video a like and share!
Hey guys, awesome video. I absolutely loved the variety and your description popups for all of the items. I'm not sure if this is mentioned enough but this video made me realize yet again just how much your quality improved over the last year! Some people might like the older, shorter videos with less conversation more, but I absolutely love the newer style. Always looking forward to your videos! Keep it up and have a great day :)
WOW! Thanks so much for the positive feedback, Thomas 🙏 it really means a lot to us.
We definitely enjoy filming the videos this way a lot more as well! So much less pressure and just go into the whole thing just looking to have as much fun as possible and look at it less as a “performance” that we’re giving to the viewer and more of an experience that we’re taking you along for.
Appreciate you and all the love and support!
You rule 😎🤘
That cannoli pie is soooo good!!! The OG store is in Bridgeport CT and sadly just closed but they still distribute to local CT, MA, RI, NJ stop and shops
My sister and I have been anticipating this video! It was really nice to see you two enjoy all of these sweets. They looked fantastic!
So glad we got to do it for you sooner than later 😁
You guys are the best!
Hello from France!
Yesss. I’ve been looking forward to this video. Thanks for another amazing video. It seemed like a lot of fun.
With the Japanese sweets, they tend to be an acquired taste and texture. They aren’t notoriously sweet. However, if you can ever find them, I’d recommend maybe trying doriyaki. It is sort of like a pancake sandwich with a sweetened red bean (don’t worry, you don’t taste the beans) paste.
Also, I’d recommend trying some Persian desserts sometime! My favorite is gaz, which is like a nougat with pistachios. Delicious but will put your jaw to work.
Ooo, we appreciate the recommendations! If we can manage to get our hands on any of those than we’ll definitely be trying 🙌 So glad you enjoyed the video, Kianna! Much love from the USA!
When I tell you that my sister and I SCREAMED!!! So happy that you guys got to eat all types of delicious treats from around the world. You made us both hungry watching this 😋 amazing work as always ❣️
We thought of you both while shopping and and made absolutely sure to have some of the items you requested 😁
So glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for being awesome!
@@TheTakedownTwins I went back to see our suggestions and you guys definitely nailed it. Thanks for being so considerate! It was actually kind of hard to think of Asian desserts that could be bought in stores because we made that list with the idea that you’ll be getting them from Walmart or bakeries haha and traditional Asian desserts are either just plain fruits or they’re perishable and aren’t made on a large scale. This was a great lunar new year present for us. Ps, we’re with you on the mochi - it’s never been our thing either 🤷🏻♀️ thanks for keeping an open mind and doing your best to represent a variety of countries.
@@crackieforlife we love and appreciate you 🙏 thanks for keeping us in mind and being considerate of accessibility when letting us know what you wanted to see in the video! That’s so thoughtful.
Happy new year, friend 💙 honored to have been a part of your day!

I wouldn't fault you guys for stopping after a few bites. Finishing everything is bonkers!
From Canada - thx for the natural sounds coming from the pastries. The taste must be over-the-top-Heaven.
Glad you enjoyed that! They sure were tasty 😎

Another great one guys! I don't always comment but I watch every video and you guys always kill it. I just ate dinner and this video is making me hungry again. Those lobster tails looked insane! Gotta try those out. See you guys in the next one!
Dang! Seriously appreciate the love and support on the videos and the channel 🙏 you’ll def have to splurge on some lobster tails if you ever come by them… TOO GOOD. Hope dinner was killer 😎

Love this video concept! It would be cool to see videos dedicated to entire counties with a combination of both sweet and savory!
Oh we’ll definitely do some single country or regions this year 😃 So glad you enjoyed, Monica!
I swear each week I end up saying, man thats another brilliant video idea.
Stellar presentation again. Always looks top notch. And Ive been meaning to comment on how much I like the fun facts youve been inserting. Always nice to leran something!
Great video guys. ✌
Dang, that means a ton hearing you’ve been enjoying the video themes recently! They’ve been a lot of fun to pull together!
Thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the facts we’ve been including as well! We’ve been learning a lot ourselves as well sifting through info on the internet to toss in. Hey, maybe all the knowledge we’re all acquiring will come in handy some day 😁
Stoked you enjoyed and we appreciate the kind words as always! Much love to you 🙏
Guys, in Argentina Milka actually has many products filled with Dulce de Leche.... they are very popular, let alone delicious. Great video!
I love your videos! Thank you so much ☺️
You guys could try to swich sides in one of the next upcoming videos!
People are use to seeing Nate on the (our) left and Pete on the right. It would be unusual and refreshing :)
I wonder how uncomfortable we’d be in that scenario 😆 we’ll have to try it someday 🤷♂️

I loveeee Baklava 🤤 I've yet to have good Tiramisu sadly even though I love coffee. My dream would be to travel to all these countries and try a bunch of authentic, different foods I've never had before! Great video as always
2021 was our first go with Baklava and we’re officially obsessed 😍 Tiramisu is amazing if you can find a good one so long as you enjoy a soaked, creamy cake! We’re with you on that dream to travel and try the authentic versions - would be so amazing. Thanks for the love, Farah!
So happy to see you eat some Turkish desserts, big fan. Keep up the good work ☺🥰

I felt like I was on vacation after 2 years! Brava Italia! Hope you filmed this during the snow storm last weekend! Great stuff!
2 years of spacing out these sweets would probably be a far better way to do it 😆😁 Filmed it quite a bit before the storm 🙌 Thanks for the love, Jeanine! 🙂💙

Watching all the way from Singapore
I'm here again, to watch these most beautiful twins in the World ❤❤❤
😃🥰💙
That cannoli pie looked fantastic, as did the baklava! Had a fun time seeing the variety of treats you guys brought to the table as well!
This one had me so envious! I looove desserts that are full of cream like that. Putting cream cheese back in my diet went smoothly, so I'm dreaming up ideas of baking things like cream cheese danishes right now
Right?! The more cream the better with the pastries 🤤
So glad you responded well to the cream cheese! So good. Just enjoy a bit more responsibly than us 😆
Much love!
Been refreshing my page constantly for this one🤩 everything looks phenomenal!! Keep it up💞
Thanks! Happy you enjoyed it!
Fabulous idea! Fabulous picks! I'm Canadian so it would have been Nanaimo bars/pecan butter tarts, maybe a Coffee Crisp cake? lol!
That Tiramisu looked so so good - they are always so different. Thanks for posting this week - loved it!
Ooo those all sound fantastic! Those are definitely not common around here but we’d love to try if we ever come across them! So glad you enjoyed, Sherri! 🙂

Rhode Island has such a huge Portuguese population so I’m hoping if you ever do another one of these videos you find some delicious Portuguese treats!
I've never been this early, so I'll comment before I watch.

Adding tres leches to the list of things I would eat daily if I could!
Love to see the channel growing !!
Slowly but surely! We appreciate the love and support 🙏
lol. i love this channel
I don’t know how authentic these desserts were, but the important thing is you stayed true to yourselves - by eating a huge amount of desserts 😅
Probably not even close but fun none-the-less 😁🙌
Baklava is my fave!
You NEED to try Pakistani desserts 😋😋
Absolutely obsessed with Baklava now 😍 Will have to feature them next time if we can find some 🙂
In Argentina you can get waffle and dulce de leche sandwiches by the coast (other places to) and we do consider it dessert! The ratio is the most important, of course. Tons of dulce de leche.
Let’s go. I love your videos I’ve been watching so much recently. Will you remember me when you get big ?? And also can you do a spicy food challenge. Thanks. God bless
We’ll try our best 😆
So glad you’re enjoying the vids!
We’ll never say never so maybe someday! Not fans of spicy though tbh.
Much love!
Wales UK 🏴 doubt you'd find anything Welsh in the USA. Great video as always 👌❤️😁
There are so many desserts or puddings from the Wales, Scotland and the Britain. Not sure which ones I would pick 🤔 I love the variety they have in the US. Like the all things pumpkin spiced video etc 👍
We’ll have to keep an eye out! There’s a random little store in our area that has some interesting things from the UK from time to time so you never know 😁
Much love!
Stay tuned for the upcoming series "The Takedown Twins take the world 2023." I can see it now, and I can't wait ✌️

Oh man how i wish i could send you fresh pastries from here (France)!
Btw the mochi you got are more on the "candy" side? There are mochi that are filled with milk cream and fruits, red bean paste, matcha paste.... if you're ever curious to try!
I've always wanted to try Lobster Tails since I saw them on TV ("Buddy vs. Duff")!
Totally worth splurging on 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome and fun content guys! Loved seeing all those sweets and now I'm super hungry haha
Stoked you enjoyed it! We’ve been accused many times of enduring hunger/cravings 😁🤘
I wonder what has been the most eaten item on your channel so far🙈🙈
HOW do you guys synchronize your eating? You both take the same amount of bites at the same time! 👏
No matter how much time is the video, I make sure to see it all full. I'm so curious about those lobster tails!. One's of best challenge! I'm Portuguese, I would love to see some Portuguese desserts next time, like "Pastel de Nata"
We appreciate that so much, Susana! Oh the lobster tail is a must try if you ever come across them 😍 SO good! We would absolutely love to try some Portuguese dessert options soon! Just gonna have to find a good spot that has some options 😁 Thanks for the recommendation and we’re thrilled you enjoyed! 💙
I was waiting all day for this video!!!
A little late to the upload but we got it up for ya 😁💙
Great vid guys, again!!! As always. Your style and authenticity gets me.
To get authentic food from other countries is never that easy. For fresh pastry and stuff.
yeah, german chocolate is really good. Switzerland`s perfect. And I wouldn`t consider Milka as german anymore.... Rittersport is a great choice, not because it is german, but a company that makes great choices.
For me, the most deutsche dessert is "Pudding" or "Grütze". Hard to pronounce. Both eaten with cream.
My favorite german cake is Bienenstich "bee sting". So delicous.
So glad you enjoyed and we appreciate the kind words, Kat! Milka manufactures in multiple parts of the world and the bars we had say “made in Germany” so seems legit enough for us. The Ritter Sport was awesome and we definitely look forward to trying more! Hopefully we can try more German desserts some day like the ones you mentioned 🙂 much love to you!
I don't know how I missed the notification but I'm glad youtube recommended this video. Great job guys! You must've spent a pretty penny. 💙
Thanks, Matthew!
Not too bad on the wallets tbh. Got like 90% of it from Walmart, market basket and stop and shop, so it was extremely budget friendly compared to it we’d went to local bakeries 😬
Much love!
It's so funny how they say tres leches
i feel like this immense urge to see your videos as soon as they are up, which is weird considering i don't feel like that at all, but all my love to you, all my love from india your way, you guys are a breath of fresh air every single time ❤❤🤗🤗
Wow that’s so cool to hear! We couldn’t appreciate the kind words more, Ratna! We’re so glad you’re enjoying 😃 Much love to you! 💙
I'm glad you ate Japanese dessert🙏💕
Rice desserts are unique to Japan and have an interesting texture😆
Japan has both traditional Japanese sweets and foreign-style sweets.
Matcha-flavored Kitkat are popular as souvenirs👍
Oh we’d love to try Japanese Kit Kats! 😍 Maybe we’ll give those rice desserts another shot sometime 😁 Much love to you!
The takedown Twins are my all time fav to watch. Plenty of love from India. Also...do pls try indian sweets like Gulab jamun, sandesh, rasmalai, rabri, jalebi...and so many many more
Fist bumps and hand slaps: sibling’s language of love.
Sibling communication def hits different 😆
I am jealous and have no idea how you guys put down all that food.
Loved seeing the variety of goods from different countries! It must have been nice to switch up the sweets from just the American ones haha
Oooo I also have an idea for a future video but there are some new little debbie icecreams that just came out (nutty buddy, cosmic brownie, oatmeal creme pie, strawberry shortcake rolls, Swiss rolls) you guys NEED to try them for a video! Its a must 🤣 but maybe pairing them with the actual dessert and comparing the two. Does that make sense? I dont always explain stuff very well lol but I think that would be a fun video to see from you guys!
Lots of people are going crazy for them so I bet it'd be a popular video as well. They're only a walmart exclusive so thats the only place you'd see them if you decide to include them in a video 😊
It certainly was!
Haha yeah, we’ve been getting loads of messages, tags and challenge recommendations regarding those. We posted an Instagram story saying we probably won’t be doing a challenge with them rn because where we live is sub zero every night and ice cream challenges are incredibly brutal on core temperature. Even in summer when we did one it was difficult to get our body temp temperatures under control lol. Probably try them sooner or later, but the quality of Hudsonville doesn’t have us dying to anytime soon 😆 hopefully sometime though 🙏
Excellent job guys. Incredible choice of deserts.
Much appreciated!! Loads of fun it was 😁

Hi Nate and Pete, enjoyed the video. Also loved the Def Leppard shirts. I’d have to agree with the Lobster Tails as being one of the best of the bunch. I also like the Napoleons and the Tiramisu.
