Wow sir! There would go my hands! U do some dangerous work…but that is why ur the professional and I’m not. Beautiful work sir. U r a true artist and master of ur craft…take care and may u and ur family be blessed and well.
You're amazing. Every time I watch you I can hear my shop teacher lecturing us about balancing the lathe. You would give him a heart attack if he was still around. I really enjoy your pieces.
After a hard days work, I think there's nothing quite as relaxing as one of your videos. Again an other STUNNING piece of work Andy. Love the new work shop.
I've turned a few live edge pieces, but none with the three footed bases. One day I'll get brave enough to try it. Thanks much for sharing your skills with us.
Bravo as always! I have always treated your works as works of art, but this time you have surpassed yourself! So subtle, elegant and amazing work! I am delighted! Thank you for your work!
Thank you for sharing how you did the feet to the bowl. I have wanted to attempt this on some of my past projects but was not 100% sure how to proceed, but you showed me how in your video. Many thanks. Beautiful work.
Another incredible piece Andy!! A stunning work of art! I always enjoy watching your videos, but my favorite is watching you create a piece and making it look as if it was made many centuries ago and after you polish it, you make it look like it belongs in a museum. Michelangelo meet Andy Phillip!! Bravo Maestro Bravo!!
Cor this really is unique bowl I really love well done. I did wonder if it would break when you but the finish on it, it is so so beautiful. The colour and grain is awesome. Amanda from Scotland UK
Hi Andy. It's a beautiful piece and like others said below, the wood dictated the direction. Very Nice. I have one of those Dremel tools too. Comes in very handy.
Andy, this is one of the most UNEXPECTED pieces ever. This, this right here, is the VERY definition of Centerpiece. 👏👏👏👏👏 And the little legs.....awesome work, man.
At first I thought that was some kind of stone or something but that was the bark when you turned it over. It is really cool Andy but I wouldn't know what to use it for.
J'admire... D. Brochard
This is the most extreme example I have seen of you letting the wood dictate the result. An extraordinary piece which at the end reminded me of a huge moth with expanded wings. I enjoy your excursions into strange materials and resin, but this sort of rigorous literalism - just working with wood - is where you shine.
I remember trying this same method in my highschool with a stock of walnut. I ended up blowing the whole thing up, thank God I was smart enough to wear a face shield and had the blast shield down when I did this incredibly stupid thing. Definitely learned something that day, don't bite off more than you can chew.😅
Nicely done Andy. Lots of interest in grains and inclusion areas. Bit of a nail biter when turning Take care my friend and enjoy the trekking Cheers Harold
That is a lovely, delicate piece! I must say, you show that you have Pro level experience and really good instincts. Well done! Anyone else would now have wood chips for the garden. 😉
Omg I was holding my breath. Afraid it would break. Beautiful.
Thank you
Amazing!!! I love the little feet!!! This is the epitome of organic art!!!
Thank you
Wow! I think I swallowed a fly from my mouth hanging open during this video. Simply amazing work, Andy. Thank you for sharing your skill with us. 💖
Your craft is awesome and you do it superbly . Thank you for sharing. Lance
Thank you
