- The marriage wasn’t an extraordinary event. Just a simple ceremony and that was that. She moved in two days later.
The kingdom rejoiced, of course. It was the first alliance the Kingdom of Lost Cities had made with anyone since its creation. Finally, the pirate kingdom was making moves to become less of a hive of scum and villainy and more of a reputable partner in trade.
Neither of you protested the marriage. It would greatly help both kingdoms, and you both seemed civil enough. Neither of you expected to marry for anything other than a political exchange. And you were lucky enough to greatly enjoy one another’s company.
As the weeks went by you grew to rely on your new partner more and more. They had certain skills that you did not, and you learned from one another. The more time that went by, the more you came to respect and care about each other.
She was the first to say “I love you” a couple of months after your marriage. She’d always been very open with her feelings toward you. You’d tried to reciprocate, but you weren’t as straightforward. You are usually very quiet and have difficulty putting emotions into words. Most of the time, that is.
When the ambassador from Sengeria starts belittling your partner and questioning their heritage, you didn’t have any problem voicing your disapproval. Unfortunately, you may have used some unsavory language and the ambassador took offense, single-handedly destroying your kingdom’s relations with Sengeria.
You went to your office immediately to write an apology note but every time you tried, more insults appeared on the page. Just as you were about to give up, your partner burst into the room…

@@arestingplace I guess they want to focus more on realism. Consensual arranged marriages existed but they were in the minority. The toxic part of the relationship stems from either partner attempting to exert control over the other and thus, exerting control over the kingdom they married into.

I always found Arranged Marriage to be very weird, I get why they existed but still it's really strange to mean

as fir the description, wow that is a long „before the story“ explanation and i loved reading it😍, that is a very sweet character development but i can‘t identify with the King XD i‘m very emotional and i would have done the same as he did but i‘m not bad at expressing my feelings to loved ones XD just shy most of the time.
anyways, i have waited so long for another video and the day has finally come😍 this is a beautifully written script and i loved her so much and somehow my mind immediately had a picture of her in mind once i knew she comes from a pirate family (i don‘t have a typical pirate picture of her in my mind XD). it really is a sweet story and i already would love a part two where we go to her kingdom and experience that one day of freedom🥰 this is such a lovely story and i can imagine this day so good and it makes me fall for her even more hehe🥰.
as for the voicing and the sound effects, the background rain sounds and everything else were perfect👌 definitely not to loud and they didn‘t dominate your beautiful voice🥰. as for The acting i loved how you voiced her, the casual language that a pirate has because they are way less stiff with the language but she still knows how to talk in this „queen“ language, your voice definitely fit her so well in my mind.
all in all this was absolutely amazing🥰. i‘m so glad that you are healthy again and that i could hear your voice today😍. i‘m legitimately always waiting for another video from you XD checking out your channel very often so i really don‘t miss a video😂. You are also a VA that i hold close to me❤️. If theres one thing I'll never understand about Kingdoms wanting alliances back then, it's why was a arranged marriage needed. If they wanted a alliance, why not just agree on one? Today country's form alliances without arranged marriages obviously. So why were they needed so long ago?
Maybe the marriages would make sure the counties couldn't betray each other? Idk, good questions!
@@arestingplace Married people do betray each other sometimes. So I don't know if a marriage would prevent Kingdoms from doing the same.
Harder to betray each other if they have your family hostage, and the other party served as an ambassador and eyes on the ground alike. Words mean little, but family ties could in theory help more
