Bit bizarre they allow Anglo-Saxon rulers to be the heir of Arthur! The legend rose because it was about Welsh or Romano British resistance to the Anglo Saxons😂

They’re not literally the heirs of Arthur. They’re only claiming to be to add legitimacy to their rule over Britain. That’s the point behind most of these legends. They’re not actually supposed to be true. Besides, there are theories that the Cerdic, the founder of the Wessex dynasty was a Briton.
Modern English do it too. FrenchDutch/Germanic Nobility, with Anglo-Saxon, Celt, Scottish, and Welsh subjects, all jerking off a Roman General who became king of the Celt/Roman Hybrids

Yeah, I also hope AI "Fairhair" will have a better chance to conquer Norway and actually adopt the name "Fairhair". He always gets conquered by neighbouring tribes in my observations.
@@thundernorse1098big fan of the historic invasions mod. It allows historical characters to use a unique causus beli and I’ve found fair hair usually ends up using it to conquer Norway
What about 'the Sons Of Lodbrock' Legend Seed characters, Halfdan Whiteshirt, Ivar The Boneless, Bjorn Ironside, Sigurd snake in the eye? Most of them start with a Holy site and some nice additional legends

Any reason for Aethelred over Alfred? Alfred has better stats and is several years younger, allowing more time to play and complete more Legends?
I'd assume he doesn't actually play CK3 often or at all and just got sponsored to do this video.
Everyone who’s played in the area has already played Alfred. He said the reasons to choose Aethelred over Alfred for this dlc and it involves starting with control of Canterbury and Middlesex. Did you watch the video?

I flip-flopped between the two of them when choosing, and it boiled down to the fact that Aethelred isn't that much older, and he starts with access to Custodian of the Holy Site and New Troy because of Caterbury and Middle Seaxe respectively - sure you need to do some work for them to get unlocked as options, and sure you could war for your claims as Alfred and secure the prerequisites, and sure you could take advantage of Alfred's "Intelligent" trait - but I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess, and the priority of the video was as macb6528 described.
I can't wait to do a King Arthur run, this is the kind of immersion I've always wanted in CK3!

Really wish the unique legends seeds felt more unique. Not that I ever play in 867 anyway, but I feel like most of the 769 mods will use the seeds from the base game, at least initially

Its not fair... What paradox needs to do is release all these dlcs and expansions as free updates so all players can experience it instead of just ones who have money. I feel like paradox release unfinished games at full price and release finished bits separately for more money. I feel like the games are not complete without these and should be updated into the game automatically when released so people who purchased the game already can still get access. It makes me want to stop buying and playing paradox despite how good they are. Perhaps they are the best but thats why they know it and take advantage of their fans.

It's technically "De yureh" as it's a Latin term, so "De Jury" and "De Jhyr" are both equally valid or wrong, if you will.

I would assume the Hashemites get something about the Prophet, and Umayyads too having had many great rulers like Abd al-Rahman and Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, maybe Abbasids too (maybe linking to like Harun al-Rashid and the start of the Islamic Golden Age, around the late 700s). Then you'd probably get something for holding Mecca. That's what I'd imagine.

@N3rdDak wave after wave of plague. I'm in early stages so no money to hold feasts or hunts and increase legitimacy. Doesn't make sense and all vassals hate me.

Fun fact - that's the right way to say it. Or closer than the "de zhur" that many people say. The term went straight from Latin into English, and never took the French middle step that would've made it "de zhur". So instead it's more like "day jury".
