This is my favorite episode so far. Just two rock guys shooting the shit. You and Brent have a great energy together and the conversation flowed great. I felt it could gone on another hour easily. I was fortunate enough to see you guys play together at the Soaring Eagle in MI. It was one of the best concerts I've seen! You guys fuckin killed it! Please come back in 2021! @@sullyerna8629 absolutely! A friend of mine from Australia comes over every couple of years and we plan on which shows we wanna experience together to decide when she comes over. She flew into Dallas Love Field and we drove straightaway to Little Rock to see Godsmack and Shinedown. We were fortunate enough to get up to the barrier so you guys made it an experience we will remember forever. Thank you for that!

I just want to say ...that being a drummer ...and having the dream of writing epic pieces as you both have...and being able to touch so many people around the world ...I cant even imagine what it must be like to write a song and have millions be touched by it one way or the other ...its always been my deepest greatest dream of acheivement... and NOT being able to achieve it in my life and now that I'm almost 50 years old ...I often regret parts of my life because of it ...add to that losing my best friend in the world ..my oldest daughter in 2016 ...I really began to feel like a failure ....and I swear on her ashes ...that you two guys ...your bands ..your music ...so many of your songs ...have literally brought me back to life in helping me deal with that loss or my own inadequacies ...Godsmack and Shinedown...literally you guys ...you've saved my life more times than I can count ...I'm in tears right now typing this because of how emotional I get. Saw the both of these wonderful men live back in about 08 in Oregon at the Washington State fair I believe it was, I was like 13 and living for it. Godsmack headlined but they both absolutely killed it. I wonder if they remember that show!
Man this show is so enlightening. I’m dealing with trying to be clean and sober and I feel like failing. But BOTH of you I look up to guys so much, I can’t put into words what your guys music does for me. It speaks so much volume and it hits my soul like no other. I can go on and on but I wanted to thank you both of you for all that you have done for me. I suffer from depression, addiction, suicidal thoughts, etc. My one dream is to meet both of you Sully and Brent one day because you’ve impacted me so much and I wouldn’t be here without both of you. I've seen Shinedown in concert 10X...starting in 2003 at the Midland County Fair where I stood in awe of them drinking beer at 5pm (I was 22). I've followed ever since, struggling on and off through the fun of addiction and Brent has been such a constant inspiration to me. I'm hopeful one day I'll get to meet him again as I did in 2003, except this time to instead be in awe of his sobriety.
PS. Sully - I've seen you guys 5x...you guys are the shit too. I adore you shows so much...!!!
Concerts are the one thing I have cried about through this pandemic because regardless, I don't know when I'll truly feel comfortable at another one. It will be a very long time and I miss them dearly. You guys made that struggle a little easier today for me. Thank you for doing these Sully. It really is a lifesaver. I look forward to them every week and as a social worker who works in mental health - this is an amazing gift you're giving the world.

I have to give big thanks & virtual hugs to Sully & Brent. Their songs "Legends Rise" & "Get Up" came along when I sooo needed them!! In Nov. 2018 we lost everything in the Camp Fire (Paradise CA)...I fell into an abyss that I still struggle with at times. Gotta love PTSD...such bullshit!!!! I knew I could & needed to rise. And yes, I did A LOT of clinging to the light of day & medication could never do much.
Now, that we had basically the west coast on fire for months...it's still smokey at times. It's been weeks!!! All this with the covid lockdown & the f-ing heat of summer!! Make me sick!!
I'll just say thanks Sully & Brent for showing your vulnerabilities. Seeing that you are human & willing to reach out to help the rest of us...that makes you heroes IMHO!!!

December 2018 my life changes forever. My husband, who was truly my best friend, passed away suddenly that year, a few days before Christmas. The songs of both of these men, both their main efforts and their solo stuff, have been what has gotten me through the last 17 months without the man I was supposed to grow old with. I listen to GS, Shinedown, Sully's solo stuff, and Smith and Meyers in a daily basis. Thank you for all the work you put into making the world a better place, thank you for sharing your gifts with the world, and thank you for being so open about your struggles so that people don't feel alone.
