(Okay it's it's not similar to this exact video of yours but it's inspired by some of your other animations)
How is this trex scarier than the ones from most movies these days?
Those emotionless eyes creeped me the hell out, and the scenario too just overall terrifying, IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE
Probably because it never made any noise.
2:26 he's just standing there MENACINGLY!!!!!!!!
Aren’t you one of coen McDonald friends
T.rex: *exists*
That living Triceratops: Hehe. I'm in danger
By winning one battle he loses the war of life. I love how the rex is silent it makes it so much more menacing, well done.
I love these because they have accurate dinosaur depictions but with the vintage feel to the film and that makes it feel ancient because of the sound deterioration and the film being blurry.
That setup with the two Triceratops reminds me of the two Columbian mammoths that were found in Nebraska with their tusks interlocked, having fought, gotten stuck, and both eventually dying of exhaustion.
Dinosaurs in a dark gothic horror aesthetic is sooo good.
Ok this is without exaggeration one of the best portrayals of dinosaurs in Media. It's genuinely so rare to somebody try portray animalistic behaviour, whilst still making it feel monstrous. It's usually just one or the other, despite the fact that they work so well together. And honestly, even if the majority of Media dinosaur depictions were like that, I doubt they could get much better than this.
Damn, you made the T. rex look like a Cretaceous grim reaper, awesome.
THAT WAS AMAZING the music, the atmosphere, the lighting, and that creepy ass trex model. It takes me back to classic dinosaur documentaries like The Ultimate Guide T-rex. My favorite animation so far
I love the mix of animalistic & some accurate elements together with a classical artistic style of scenery.
Definitely feels the most Old school, like Fantasia which I love.
Very well done
Reminds me of Phil Tippet's Prehistoric Beast and its portrayal of T. rex. I like it.
The T-rex was like the Grim Reaper coming 2 claim that Triceratops that got its horn stuck 2 its opponent.
Jack Horner: “Tyrannosaurus Rex was actually a scavenger”
Tyrannosaurus Rex: 2:26
I love that the t-rex gives the crow from e.a poes story vibes
Quoth the T. rex, "nevermore."
Major nightmare fuel with the T-Rex.
Finally, the king has arrived
I loved how you portrayed Tyrannosaurus, as a terrifying and silent predator
Also, great choice in the Tyrannosaurus’ coloration, it’s so classic
Very nicely done, a great homage to classic dinosaur programmes. The music sounds as if it came from the "Rite of Spring" from "Fantasia" and the overall tone was similar to "Dinosaur!" hosted by Christopher Reeve. Truly great stuff.
0:58 is synced up with the music, now that’s impressive
2:13 try going to sleep after seeing this.😱😵
Aw man, I missed this one even with sub notifications on. Really nice, I like how the Rex is just stalking silently and takes the opportunity for food instead of charging in for a fight and roaring. Very realistic predatory behavior, all black Rex with those eagle eyes staring and waiting is just an awesome image.
That was awesome. I like the idea of dinosaurs being preyed upon when they’re stuck or injured or something. Really cool.
This looks like it brings back to the 90’s stop motion
Love it, a great homage to "Prehistoric Beast:.
how and why is this so haunting?
kind of dreading that i watched this before bed now
Seeing the clay model in sends chills. Especially when its circiling the triceratops to the other side and you can only see one of its eyes staring. Well done
This is Easily my favorite of your Stop Motion shorts. I love the terror you give the Tyrannosaurus!
That was delightfully grim, and the music and color scheme compliment the mood very well. Personally, I think this is your best claymation yet.
Absolutely loved this!! Especially how the dies Irae synchronized with the rex's footsteps during it approach! So cool and an incredible show of filmmaking gusto!!
Man it’s so good seeing you’re great work again
Ok you did a great job the tyrannosaurus looks genuinely scary 😳😳😳😳😳😳👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love the style!!! It reminds me of Phil tippets old dinosaur stop motion animation.
This is an amazing short! I love how the Tyrannosaurus looks, more scientific accuracy was put into the design and the t-rex still manages to look scary without being a monster. My favourite shot in the video I think is at 2:07. The music fits beautifully, and the eye is so peircing - it looks like the real gaze of a predator and looks terrifying. Congratulations on a well done video.
DINO LEGEND IS FINALLY BACK
I have no clue why this slipped past when it came out 2 months ago but AMAZING JOB on this claymation!
You managed to capture the scaryness of T rex very well without any unnecessary JP design quirks to make it look "scary"
Especially this shot at 2:07 ! The lighting on that shot is just brilliant and it definitely shows how patiently the T rex waits for the Trike to be exhausted
Well done Hoops! Great job on yet another claymation!
The forward-facing T-rex was genuinely scary. Amazing video, you're going a really great job.
yo why that T-rex look so freakin creepy?
That TRex was the specter of death, coming to take.
Wow, was not expecting that brutal ending. Damn. Awesome work capturing retro stop motion
The backgrounds and animations have moved miles ahead! Very impressive!
oh man, so glad to see another claymation video from you- this one's amazing!! i love all the details here- that slow opening pan through the dark, with the wheezing of the tired 'winning' triceratops, really sets up a suspenseful tone for the intro. and that rex, man, those eyes are so piercing! the way you've framed this (with the lack of bright lighting in the pre-dawn) fits the feeling of a menacing, shadowed predator so well. excellent work once again! can't wait to see the tutorial vid as well :-)
That opening, the camera work, the soundtrack, the lighting, the colours, all perfect. Masterfully done, probably my favorite you've produced thus far. Really outdone yourself this time. Those piercing Rex eyes gave my a shiver. Damn creepy.
Never knew how much the Shining theme would work well for a damned Tyrannosaurus. Gives me Fantasia vibes to be honest. I'm sure you intended a bit of that too.
Cant wait for the next one mate!
Thanks, man!
Triceratops keep fight each other and now, it would become death of its horn
T-Rex got lucky meal, Nice One,Mate
Man ! What you did with the Triceratops duo is so messed up and disgusting! Never seen something like this before! 😥
The music you use is absolutely wonderful
I don't know how this slipped past me when it first came out! Terrific work!
Just the stop motion and music alone made me chill, and that ending was splendid.
Also I like this video
The music is just like the main titles from The Shining.
Dude you make really good stop motion film's
HoopAndDinoMan can you do a behind the scenes claymation oh, I love your videos❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! Here's how I made this particular model: ua-cam.com/video/39T7HZ4-uEw/v-deo.html
There's also this video where I go more into designing the sets: ua-cam.com/video/GQgiXFLHRZo/v-deo.html
When Dinosaurs Roamed America ref! And poor Triceratops got gored
The color scheme and art is amazingly good!
Now, this is great!
I love the grain added to the video as well.
Quality over Quantity. And that should be way more common.
this feels less so like something you'd see less so in 2020 and moreso in 2011 or something
good christ how did you accomplish this
What a terrifying thumbnail
Everyone gangster till a rex pulls up to the neighborhood
Amazing stop motion,it's really great
So this is what the Angel of Death looks like.
Great work, Im a big fan of the techniques, style and topics you use for these short films. I have a few nitpicks however, on my original and subsequent viewings of this, I enjoyed it but I was confused on what was going on. I thought the triceratops was stuck on the other ones carcass for a while, and after watching your video after this. I can say this video was still good, but I think it could’ve been conveyed better, I really enjoy your other works, I just feel like this one could’ve been improved a bit more.
I don’t like leaving comments like this, especially on passion projects, but i just enjoy your short films and thought this one could’ve been planned out a bit more throughly.
It kinda looks like the t rex from Wayne barlowe with red eyes but with yellow eyes
Is that the shinning intro theme I hear? Also I have been dieing to see something like this
I think the music really ties this amazing claymation together
Horror vibes! I love it!
2:06 That is terrifying
That is the stuff of nightmares
You should do a Paleozoic creature next.
a claymation about t-rex that is set at both night and early in the morning I see
i'm so glad i found your channel this is incredible will be binging
That was brilliantly brutal. I like it a lot!
Now this is a great film!
god the stare i really love the t.rex creepy stare really well done :))
The victor of one battle became the loser of another.
Finally it's good to see you back after a long time waiting.
This is absolutely beautiful. I have been a fan since 2016 and have gone from loving Dinosaurs, to loving sharks, to loving history to loving transformers, to loving Breaking Bad
This is so goooood
I thought the triceratops was grieving, gave it an interesting psychological layer.
FINALLY T REX
Man the t Rex can be violent behavior
This was a great stop motion art I really loved it I kind of wish there was a narrator like in walking with dinosaurs but I love everything about this vid and am inspired by it also when are you going to make a how to build a Tyrannosaurus rex clay model video
that's amazing bro
I actually made a Allosaurus in clay model as well.
Great video but not was I expected I was think you’re going to do the scene from walking with dinosaurs when a male T. rex killed a triceratops for a female T. rex in exchange for bearing his hatching.
Finally!! I like it 👌 I presume that the triceratops got his horn too close too his mate and , in the process of killing her, got stuck in her face. Then the Tyrannosaurus her the trice struggling, went over their uninvited for a looky loo🦖, waited till triceratops was too weak to fight back, and got tops on toast for his breakfast snack 🍞.
I don't think that was a mate. I think it was a rival.
Even though the dead was more easier. The predators always go for a living target
Well to be fair that living trike was stuck on the corpse of the rival he was fighting. And hey at least the Rex gets two free meals for little work.
Not necessarily, since carrion requires much less energy than pursuing live prey
i was not expecting so much violence but this is great
the famous Tyrannosaurus rex, at last here
I love this so much
It's just like those reindeer with their horns stuck
Wait they were battling? I thought it was mourning over a friend and trying to wake him up. I mean I couldn't hear the video for some reason.
I think the triceratops got stuck in the dead one, you can see it trying to pull away, but eventually it got exhausted from doing that presumably all night
Very well done!
Looks like Rexy gonna have a great breakfast.
Bite one get one free
Nice use of the Dies Irae
The stop motion looks really good in this video, though I wish you had some help with the dinosaur puppet designs i’m not saying that to be rude but I’m just saying
Awesome!👍
Absolute qualitiy my man, nothing else.
(Also may I know the timestamp of the part of symphonie fantastique that was used here? Soo good man)
It's the fifth movement, around the 42 minute mark if you watch a video of the whole symphony.
Your best video.(if you are able to,make longer ones)
Awesome video!
Good job man.
