A great tip for us mascara lovers! Wrap the mascara wand between a makeup wipe and pull through. This removes and built up gunk between the brisles and will apply so much smoother! I feel like this disinfects the wand every once in a while, too!

I sure hope your make up wipes don't disinfect!! Disinfectants are super harsh (ammonium, 70% alcohol, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, etc.) & shouldn't be applied to skin - esp not face or near eyes!!

For reference, I have long blonde lashes and live in a hot, humid climate. My other favorite is the Essence Lash Princess.
Which would u prefer between the two?
@@strawberriesarepink7669 The essence if I want more volume, darker black, and achieve a more dramatic, glam look. Rare beauty for my every day mascara. It's very versatile as well because you can build it up but I would definitely choose rare for every day wear and Lash princess for glam occasions.
Would recommend one for humid days or for hot summer?
I haven’t tried that many but hypnosé by Lancôme is my favourite. It doesn’t clump my eyelashes and just makes them look pretty and fluffy.
Allie, I’m absolutely in love with this series. Finding new make up that other people love and seeing the diversity allows me to be able to discover new make up that I really love. I would really really like to see a “ Your Top 10 Disliked “ where people talk about why they dislike something. I know it sounds a bit negative but it could also be a good way to not waste money but the reason why someone dislikes something COULD be the reason someone would like it?! Idk I would really enjoy watching that ❤️ I love you!

Thrive gets my vote! I first bought it as an add on from Ipsy for only $12. So glad I did because it is all I use.
My personal fave is Loreal Voluminous. It's been my go-to for years!
That used to be the only one I used. The Essence Lash Princess has a very similar wand but seems to give more volume. If you wanted to branch out. And it’s cheaper!
I am glad that it worked for someone. It did not work for me and I was not impressed by it.
Same, my mom used it for years and I finally tried it after wanting to know why she never used anything else. It's now my holy grail and has been for years, it's just so good👍
I love the way my lashes look with the Loreal Voluminous, but found if I was too tired to remove it at the end of the day (which isn't great, I know, but sometimes happens) I'd experience eyelash breakage and would lose some lashes. Not sure if it works so well because it hardens the lashes, which makes them more prone to breakage when I smosh my face into my pillow? For this reason I stopped using it.

Allie, when you get to lipsticks could you please separate the categories into different formulas? (Ex: liquid lipsticks have their own video and them bullet lipsticks would also have their own video) I’m a HUGE lipstick girl and it would be so hard to chose💄🥰

How do you feel of their other products?
I love lash paradise. When I am doing my L’Oreal face, this comes out. I tend to do my face in one brand. But this one comes out even when I don’t.
I recently decided to purchase the Sky High Mascara. I typically don't have a whole lot of luck with drug store mascaras, but I have to say, I haven't been able to stop using it. I have baby lashes, and typically use a lash primer to help them along. But I have not needed it with this mascara. It's such a buildable formula on itself, and it does not clump. I do also love pairing it with the Colourpop's Act Natural Mascara. Because the Sky High separates and lengthens so beautifully, and the Act Natural Mascara gives amazing volume, it's like the dream team with both of them. Highly recommend both if you layer, and the Sky High is gorgeous on its own, if you don't.
I'm a newer subscriber, based on Jasmine's (JuicyJas) recommendation, and I will definitely be watching the other videos in this series. What a wonderful way to see what everyone loves/recommends!! 💕💕

I just bought Lash Paradise and am wearing it for the first time and I never curl my lashes because I’m scared lol and I saw an immediate lift and I was honestly surprised. I’m loving so far.

Loved the bite beauty one. Used it because of your recommendation. Favorite eyeliner is Stila- the pen one in black. It is my favorite pen eyeliner. It is long lasting and the black is an intense black which is great.

Hi Allie. Love your channel! My fave eyeliner is the essence eyeliner pen. Not only is it affordable but the very pointy tip allows me to precisely line my top lids. Although my eyes are mature and crepey the liner goes on smoothly and stays on!! Thanks for your great and practical advice Allie! I love LA Girl's gel eyeliner. It's seriously underrated and super cheap. I use it for my smokey looks and set it with a black eyeshadow to last all day!
I’ve tried almost every single mascara known!! And I do like the lash paradise and Thrive but the holy grail that blew me away…. Was the Lancôme Lash Idôle!! It’s AMAZING!!!!! Especially paired with their CILS Booster! ❤️

I love both of those first 2 as well! If I could pick one makeup item, it’d be mascara! The Thrive is amazing! It’s one of the 1st high end mascaras that I tried. The L’Oréal one is super amazing as well! I love the way it makes my lashes look. It’s gorgeous. I’ll have to give the Lancôme a try when I’m done with all of my others! I don’t know if you’ve tried the Urban Decay Lash Freak, but I love that one as well. It gives me spider lashes big time. Has a strange brush but I mostly use the end of it to put the mascara on.
@@natnguyen4052 The Lancome Cils Booster is an amazing lash primer. It takes your lashes to the next level. It's definitely worth trying. I've bought so many tubes over the years! One thing to note: A Lancome makeup artist told me to not let the lash primer dry before applying mascara over top, so I only do one eye at a time. This gives a smoother application and makes building volume and length easier. Experiment and see what works best for you!

I’m kind of obsessed with finding my perfect mascara. I was really surprised that my current favorite Lancôme Lash Idole didn’t make the list, since I feel like I hear it talked about quite a bit on UA-cam. I’ve tried all of these, but the Bite & Rare Beauty (which i just got a sample of with my Sephora rewards points). I love Thrive, but hate removing it. I like Rollerlash for adding to my lashes if they need a little extra length, but I don’t get the volume I want from wearing it alone. Monsieur Big was my favorite for awhile, but I like Lash Idole better personally. I love the waterproof Monsieur Big, it’s the only waterproof mascara I own. I would actually kind of like to try the Lash Sensational again, because it’s been years, and I do remember really liking it. A few of the others I feel like have smudged or flaked pretty bad for me. Basically I don’t dislike any of the mascaras I’ve tried from the list, but none of them have been my ride or dies. I am really excited to try Rare Beauty!
Use the Benefit lash primer, then the Roller one… I myself? Only use the primer… it’s dark brown and I find it not as harsh as black on me…
Thank you for creating this video. It’s hard to find a creator with long eyelashes that I trust! I understand having long eyelashes is a gift, but finding the perfect mascara is hard!

Love the sky high! My first favorite is Thrive and sky high is the one I use while I wait for my order. Love that it's tubing. So so easy to get off and I don't have the dark circles around my eyes after washing my face like I do with other mascaras.
For me these super flexible wands are always a miss. I don't know how others manage to combe their lashed through with these but for me it always gets sooo thick and clumpy.

I'm so happy the Maybelline Lash Sensational got #2! I bought it recently because I saw you use it in so many videos and I'm hooked! I haven't tried a lot of mascaras (in fact I'm really new to makeup in general) but I don't think I would ever go looking for another one. Lash Sensational is just too good! Mascara is so personal. Absolutely hated lash paradise because it was very clumpy on me and so much came off on the brush. My lashes are long but thin and straight! Love roller lash and lash sensational too.

You are right. Mascara is personal and I personally did not like lash paradise as well. I look like a raccoon at the end of the day.
My fave didn't make the list, it's so under rated but the Smashbox Superfan is AMAZING! Length, curl, separation, perfect amount of volume, no flaking, smudging or transfer. Only high end mascara I will spend my money on 😊😊 Also the Maybelline falsies lash lift is perfection 💕

I tried this mascara from hearing Allie recommend it, and I hate it. No offense to Allie! It's clumpy and goopy and way too much comes out on the brush. I don't think it creates a full lash line look, either. Just my opinion!

Lash Paradise is really good. Clean the brush on the sides of the opening, it's pretty thick when you first use it, but I do that with new tubes

I recently ran across a Revlon mascara- sorry I can't remember the exact name of it- but the color name was Plum Brown. I didn't buy it bc I found a 5-piece set of another brand instead, but this color name sounds like maybe you'd like it! Try looking for it, Revlon's a cheap enough brand to experiment with!

I feel mascara favs are so dependent on your lash type. I have small sparse non curled lashes and hooded eyes. I NEED skinny minny wands. I could only use one of these

Hi Allie, my favourite mascara is Benefit Bad Gal Mascara. By far the most voluminous and fastest to build I’ve ever used. I’m in my sixties so have tried many😅 All the best from Sydney Australia. Love your videos ❤️
The Benefit mascara is also my favorite! I struggle so much to find a mascara to hold the curl of my lashes without clumping. I loved how the wand was designed. I hope this never stops being made.

The lash princess is so pretty but doesn't work out for my hooded eyelids and always flakes :( shows how everyone's experience is so different

@@chaosbecomesher yes, it's a tubing formula that never smudges but unlike the original Blinc, it doesn't wash off in eyelash-shaped tubes, it kind of crumbles into little bits and washes away with water and gentle rubbing. I use a little face cloth and some gentle cleanser like Cetaphil and that works fine.

I recently picked up a 5-piece gift kit of Wet N Wild mini mascaras for $5.00! Now I know W&W may not be the best brand out there, but they're all a deep black, and only one is waterproof, which I'll give to a friend. I have ocular rosacea, so I keep a strict 3 months' use limit for mascaras, and I can't use waterproof anything around my eyes. Then I toss them, regardless of how much product may be left, but with the minis, I feel I'm not wasting a lot of product. I've done this for a few years now, and this mini kit is so perfect, I went back and bought another set.
My lashes are short, sparse and straight, which is fine with me. A light single coat of a deep black mascara gives me just enough of a finished look - bc I can't do tightlining or waterlining. These mini mascaras have small brushes, so I can apply them without poking my eyes or having the product speckle on my cheeks. And they all wash off so easily! So, they've quickly become my favorites. I also love Maybelline's Full & Soft (the non-waterproof type) bc it leaves lashes soft so I have less itching. It also has a small brush, so it's easy to apply. So these are my reasons for loving certain mascaras that are probably no one else's favorites, but they work for me! I put a sticker dot on each tube with the date on it when I first use a mascara, and I only use that one until it's gone. It seems they really last if you don't open the tubes until you intend to use them up. And I wash and save my favorite bristle-type brushes for applying fun colors or mild bleach to the hairs around my face - cheap, fun, unexpected accents for my thinning hair at this age (62)! Pink one week, maybe golden blond the next! So yes, I'm having fun with my looks, and talents like yours are so much fun to watch! Thank you for your energy!
Every time I watch this series, there are so many products I have to try. I can’t believe I’ve never tried the Maybelline Lash Sensational, so it will be my next purchase bc it’s time for a new mascara.
I am loving this series so much! This was a fun one because we are all so particular over mascara.
My favourite eyeliner hands down is the Fenty Beauty FLYLINER! It is a true dark black and the formula is perfect for a long wear day and it’s applicator is so user friendly. I could not go back to anything other than that. 10/10. Chefs kiss. 100 recommend to anyone who cares about their eyeliner.
My absolute fav is Maybelline the falsies lash lift. I've tried a bunch since this one and finally just repurchased it and it is amazing!

I've used 4 of your top 10 mascaras but something always seemed to be missing. I literally stumbled upon the No 7 waterproof mascara in search of the one that didn't get away.. (royal blue tube) Every time I think I want to try something new, I end up going back to this one, The curved brush fits my eye shape perfectly, I don't have to use an eyelash curler, and I get the perfect look and style I want for all occasions. I'm in my 60's and live in the AZ desert, so you can see why I need something that withstands the heat of the day. I would love it if you would try it out for yourself and hopefully showcase it in one of your videos. Allie, you are SO personable and as always, it's so relaxing to sit with you. You don't pressure, you simply present your honest opinions. I can't tell you how refreshing that is. Hi Allie - this is a little off-track, but have you considered doing Top 10 favorite makeup brushes and/or sponges? There might just be too many preferences and tools to narrow down, but I always find myself wanting to see more brushes and tools videos for application. I have my favorites, but am definitely open to trying others and learning about new ones! (P.S. This series has been really fun - thanks for doing it!)

The thrive was life changing for me. It never smudges on me and stays put all day. I stopped wearing mascara because I hate the smudging and taking mascaras off at the end of the day. I’m 35 with 4 kids and I just don’t have time for that lol. But thrive washes off with water only and comes off completely! I won’t wear any other mascara now. I agree what other say- you recommend the best products!! And I’m still using your make up bags every single day and every trip! Love love love them!!! You are so talented I really hope you’ll consider launching a make up or skin care line someday!
mascara is the category i feel people are most particular about too, and i am definitely one of those people. i genuinely dislike mascara, if i could go without it on my makeup days, i would, but when i do the full face it’s basically a necessity because otherwise my eyelashes personally are pretty blonde and light so i look strange with makeup on without mascara.
my lashes are pretty long, but they’re blonde about halfway up the length so a lot of the length is pretty unseen at most distances. but i also get double follicle growth in my eyelashes, so while my lashes are somewhat full comparatively, they get irritated and fall out frequently and mascara just usually amps up the irritation they get. my preferences are for a very natural look, i love how soft looking lashes are naturally, so i’m not a fan of the clumpy lash look a lot of mascaras give. i pretty much just want my lashes coated and darkened, and that’s about it (a little lift because mine are straight), and pretty resistant to my watery eyes.
i avoid most mascaras, it’s not a product i love to test - i finally found the ones that work for me and they’re not in this top 10, but i thought i should mention them if anyone is like me.

I was so happy when the Lash Paradise came first place. I bought it because a lot of people were talking about it and I'm OBSESSED. I wore this mascara to film dates and even when I cried at sad scenes, my mascara didn't smudge. No weird black smudges, it stayed intact. I've tried a couple more mascaras after that but I kept coming back to the Lash Paradise. Currently on my 4th bottle, 10/10.
Edit: Currently looking for a cheaper alternative for travel purposes, and I think I'm going to try the Essence mascara. I hope it's good!
I literally binge watched all these videos in less than 24h. The best series ever! I’ll recommend it to all my friends. I purged some of my old makeup items and I am so excited to go shopping with the list I made from these videos. The best part is that a lot of them are not crazy expensive which will allow me to buy more than one option on some categories 😍 Awesome Job Allie!
Rare Beauty Eyeliner!!! My first ever mascara I used the whole "bottle" of! I love how easy it is to apply and how you can choose if you'd like to make a thin or thick line! Love, love, loved it so freaking much and can't wait to buy it again and again ❤

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me (something in it bothered my contact lenses) but everyone I've suggested it to as the family makeup expert, says they LOVE it.

My favorite mascaras have been Maybelline, Loreal and Essence. I just received Loreal Lash Paradise today. My favorite Eyeshadows are from Colourpop, Juvia's Place, Morphe and Huda. As far as my vote for eyeliner it would have to be NYX Professional Makeup Mechanical Eyeliner Pencil. They're mechanical pencil and liquid versions are equally amazing and I've been so happy with NYX. They are definitely my go-to drug store makeup brand and stands up to the Florida heat and humidity!! Love you and your videos 😍💋
The most disappointed I’ve ever been in a makeup product was when I purchased the Thrive mascara. I really thought it would be my holy grail and it doesn’t work for me at all. 😭 With the first few layers I get no length, and it clumps my lashes together so I look like I only have four lashes. If I keep building, I get average length but then get tiny clumps on the ends of my lashes, and then it is so heavy that it pulls my lashes down straight. It’s just awful!
I’m convinced we all have different textures to our eyelashes the way we do to our hair. Just like a hair product that works for one person doesn’t for another-I think this is why mascara can perform so differently on different people.

I’m so glad the Thrive and the Lash Paradise made it to the top 3 as well! Those are 2 of my absolute favorites! I don’t work in the beauty business (actually at a police department :0) and I’m completely obsessed with mascaras! I love trying new mascaras. It’s my expensive hobby. I know the Urban Decay Lash Freak mascara isn’t too popular, but I love love that mascara. I also have longer lashes like you and it makes my lashes look like spider legs! I highly recommend it. Love this series and your channel!

I'm still searching the best mascara for my really straight eyelashes. I use waterproof and curl them with curler but during the day they still go straight. This is like searching for true love for me at this point.
Same thing happened to me. I got a lash lift and it changed my life!! Def worth the money and lasts months
You should try heroine make mascara! It's a super waterproof formula so it's kinda tedious to remove but it keeps my straight lashes curled all day :)
Roller Lash is what I use...it keeps my curl. I've heard waterproof mascaras are really good at holding curl too.
Have you tried heating up your eye lash curler with a blow dryer before curling them and applying mascara. It makes a big difference. Obviously just be careful how much you heat it up. I don’t want you to burn yourself but it does work.
I've got stick straight and short Asian lashes. Clio Kill Lash Superproof works wonders at keeping the curl + if you like the clean lengthened look. They have a volumising version as well!
