Totally remember this. I was in my teens, like14 and thinking how epic this whole year, let this contest was. Slater was a god in those days who could do no wrong. At the same time i remember secretly rooting for Machado. He was the darkhorse, in my opinion. As the name of a film from the same year, these were definately Good times! 😉

Robbie when he was younger was a shoulder hopper at swamis in Encinitas guys would say he was afraid to paddle outside off course that changed as he got older,, in the day in leucadia surfing pontos grand view beacons lots good fun in the 80ss we had a really good time in those years
