I'm getting back into this hobby after 30 plus years and I am finding this series to be so helpful and inspiring, I have subscribed, please continue to share with us.
Hi. I just notied I never repliwd to yiu. I am sorry. UA-cam is weird at times that I don't get notified on comments. 30 years is a long time. Did you notice changes in the hobby, apart ofcourse the rise of the internet? What are yiu collecting? And mynplan for early 2025 is to restart this series. Thanks for your comment and subscription!
Chris, I love this series.I think you found quite the bargain with that stock book of scandinavian stamps. Also it never ceases to amaze me how generous this community is. Michael Lynnes' offer is a prime example. I should also add that YOU have also been very generous by sending me stamps for which I thank you. Look forward to your next video. I also love that you listed so many other stamp related channels which I will be looking into.
Hi Daniel. I thought it was a good find too. Must admit, in hindsight the pages/strips are a bit yellowish, so at some point I should put the stamps somewhere else (that was the idea all along anyway). Michael Lynn is very generous. I wish I could do what he does. It costs a lot of time. But I have been thinking about it. Very kind words what you say about me. It was just me sending some stamps. I like doing that. Don't underestimate what you have done for the channel also. Loyal and commenting. Thank you for that! And as for other channels: there are some to watch, not many. Some seem to struggle with continuity, that is a pity. I am trying to put out content that is as good as it can be. That I would watch if I wasn't the creator. Means I spend more time in the creation process and therefore upload less frequently. That means I can 'plug' other channels :-)
Hi Ken. Yep, was a good deal indeed. I love the series too I have to say. Puts me in a different mindset, more thinking strategically. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Very good deal for the stock book and stamps Chris - another lovely video. The stamps and stock book are quite lovely and looking forward to seeing the growing budget Norwegian collection housed in its new home! I love the small stamps from the Scandinavian countries that were issued over many years - it is great to see them all on a page with the different colors, not to mention if there are nice clear cancellations from different towns and cities.
Hi. The stock book and the stamps were pretty well cared for it seemed. I was lucky to be able to buy it for that price. And yes, the definitives on one page, or several is always a treat to the eye. The smaller stamps are cute indeed, would be nice to put them together also on one page. That is something for future episodes :-) Thanks for commenting and watching!
Als kind heb ik de wereldbol aardig lopen afzoeken op zoek naar het landje Off Sak. Het leek me destijds al een vreemd land, maar ja: Japan heette op de zegels ook Nippon. Dus alles was mogelijk. Pas later dat ik bij mijn opa op bezoek was en zijn buitenlandse album aan het doornemen was zag ik de zegels bij Noorwegen stonden. Wel een mooie klassieke serie overigens. Je hebt je budget weer goed besteed!
I really love this series! You are doing well with your budget, Chris. I think this stock book with so many stamps was an excellent buy. Looking forward to your next video. 🙂
Hi Charnie. Yep, was lucky with the buy. Obviously storage is important and I like I have it now. And the budget: I am slowly saving some money for bigger expenses. Really love how I have to think and go about it strategically. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video, Chris! That seems like an extremely good deal. I like how you mentioned the stamps are a bonus, and yet the quality of the stamps look very good indeed. I'm looking forward to your next video in the series!
Hi Mark. Looks like s good deal indeed. Although the pages and strips are a bit yellowish. So at some point the stamps need to move to a different place. Thanks for commenting!
Good video and I like Norway also. Harder to get current stamps so if I can find someone from the country that is a stamp dealer I try and order. I just got some Uruguay stamps from 2023 & 2024. 😊
Hi Kevin. Norway current is harder indeed and pricier. But the good thing is they do not issue a lot of stamps. The posthorn series is a nice area to specialise in, often overlooked. It is the longest running definitive series. Do yiu order mint?

Hoi Camiel. Dat is eigenlijk een fantastisch verhaal, grappig ook, en ook begrijpelijk. En precies, Nippon, Japan, dan is alles mogelijk :-)
