Reynolds reports a post-war conversation with (then)-Bundesheer Maj Gen F Rosen then commanding the 503 Pz Bn who recounted that the night before the Goodwood attack, where 16th LW were dug-in right in front of the allied bridgehead breakout-lane east of Colombelles and were decimated (mainly by artillery) that the 'copses and barns' to the east where his Tigers were dispersed were subjected to, non-other than, a saturation raid by Lancasters with tall-boy bombs (!!), and that one of his Tiger IIs was 'literally turned upside down'.... Reynolds notes: 'that the unit (503rd) was able to fight at all that day is a testament to its professionalism and espirit'...I didn't know Knispel was there..
@19:34 You only mention that it has more AP than HE shells, however you didn't mention that this Stug version also has lesser front armor. The F8 version only has 70 armor in comparison of the 90 armor from the Stug version in the tank tab. It does cost less points, only 65 points in comparison to the 90 points from the Tank tab version.
Yep I had a hunch I'll definitely be checking out your content but I think you are the first UA-camr I have found through just random matchmaking you'll have to guess which game though
The drillinge AA gun at 10:30 can be found as a hidden half track unit in GrossD division. Tested it out today, on paper it looks like it should eat through infantry in 1 second but it really isn't good at all. Pins quickly, works better as an AA gun for sure.
Germans would certainly preferred to give them standart kar98 rifles, but you know, british rifle is better than no rifle. Production just was not enough to arm every soldier with standart arms and in the case of Volksturm even uniforms.
@@jankristek7533 Some Volksturm units were actually better equipt than their local Heer counterparts. The later part of the Goldap Einsatzbattlion Volksturm mentions going from Russian Infantry rifles without slings and DP machine guns, no uniforms or party politician brown uniforms to pretty much being equipt with 10 round German Gewehr carbines,, modern German MG's and field grey or Luftwaffe field blue uniforms. Having their own Russian Arty gun battery as well. This wasn't the norm though just something to take note of. Some of the first world war veterans pulled for Volksturm service were also fairly well equip as well.
Possibility of taking Knispel as vet0 recruit doesnt look right. I think his card would be better changed to 1 tank in A as vet 1 or 1 tank at B as vet 2. Make his card more special and signify he was a veteran and not some recruit with no experience.
Damn i hope thats the last DLC for steel division........20 Euros for reused assets of a game made 7 years ago.....atleast some touch ups would be nice i love eugene games been playing since Ruse but this is just eugene milking the fanbase and honestly its disgusting
sad that we lost the ft-17s but atleast we still have the flakpanzer bren
They are still there, they are considered devensive emplacements now though, but still move like 4kph
@@appendixpower5538 as if anyone plays breakthrough
oh a Luftwaffe-Fail-Division :D
I am surprised to see you here.
But again, you made that video about hoi4 before, so i guess i shouldn't be surprised.
Luftwaffe-Fehlkonstruktionen (for the English spreakers it sounds very similar to the aktual name of Luftwaffen-Felddivision)
@@AhmedAli-of4jy Sürprise is a key element in warfare :)
Ah Strategically unpredictable a Good tactic

I think the division would benefit from more feldgendarmerie cards, considering the amount of disheartened units
Don't need it, because all leaders are disciplined as default ...

i used it it if used 2 at once it can beat stuarts lol or with support becuse it pins it or other light tanks
Those Bren platforms must have been terrifying to be assigned to, the Flakpanzer one looks like it will topple over lol
Cant wait to see the Guards AD and Desert Rats hopefully they haven't ruined them
Stugs in A, Tiger in B, Tiger 2 in C. Not really great but doable if the enemy doesn't spam you.
No ft-17? Preorder cancelled
Ah yes the 16th together with the 503rd and arguably THE German Tank ace of WW2 which was Kurt Knispel...
This one seems interesring.
Are you going to do gameplay on the 4th armored division like you did with the 3rd armored division forever ago
I've never understood why German Divs use the Lee Enfield??
becuse captured.
