who ever made Spooky space kook’s laugh Deserved a Nobel
I agree same for the phantom shadow
That laugh reminds me of Klunk from Dastardly and Muttley In Their Flying Machines.
It truly was creepy
Scared the living shit out of my sister and I
I agree
wow that’s the iconic voice
Ikr? I fell in love haha
Scooby Doo will always be one of the greatest shows on TV of all time. Period.
Fuck yeah
Dam straight
Absolutely positively agree !!
hell yeah
You said it (fuck yeah)
Scooby-Doo was my youth in a nutshell.
Mitchell Wagoner every night at 7pm my family sat in the living room and watched Scooby-Doo.
I still watch it on Netflix and Hulu
So you went around in a van with a talking dog, hunting down adults in costumes at night.
Cool.
@@georgewashington4394 lol yeah, that’s exactly what I interpreted from the original comment.

The Spooky Space Kook is my most memorable monster. A ghostly bulky outdated astronaut suit topped with a domed glass helmet housing a maniac lapghing skull is a cool design and storie to me.
For me it was Captain Cutler's ghost. I remember seeing him when I was a little kid, I think he was the first that I saw
Joseph Calabrese It wasn’t outdated when the episode first aired
@@Rinesmyth To me, that snow monster was the scariest, at least in the original series.
Ben je Nederlands? En fan van dutchtuber? En kijk/keek je notch survival?
Mine are the giggling green ghost
So _that's_ what Rebecca looks like! That solves _one_ mystery! 😀
She looks just like Kristen Ledlow
She looks similar to Obama to be honest.
It is very fascinating to see her, her voice is so sexy! Outside of her sexiest, she is an excellent host and the things she talks about are to the point with little filler (at least from what I remember).
"Mr. Stoner's been kidnapped!"
"What are you talking about? Shaggy's right here."

I don’t know why, but there was so much nostalgia in this video for me
josh conaway the sound effects and designs for Miner Fourty Niner and Space Kook make me SO NOSTALGIC!
josh conaway same here.
Maybe because this show is from the 70s lmao
Yup. Thank you, Cartoon Network
anyone remember that clown from the circus or that just me
Will Highfield I remember him too
Watch the pretty coin of gold and you will do what you are told. (Might have screwed that up bit been a while lol)
the underboss that was perfect!
+the underboss 'Daphne undresses as the ghost clown unzips his pants'
oh god yes, I hated that guy! But I loved the episode other than that!
Who else had the Scooby doo vitamins growing up???
I know I did along with the Flintstones vitamins.
Same
No but I did have the Flintstone vitamins
I did.
I'm pretty sure most of us did.
Spooky Space Kook will always be my favorite from the original series. His design, and his laugh, were pretty memorable and spooky!
Yes, the ships noise was also spooky.
It's a similar laugh to that ghost in Hassle in the Castle.
@WilburPupYT the one who creeped me out the most was the tar monster i just hated how he rises from that puddle and how is drpping.Oh and those green phantoms with the chains
The spooky space kook was good enough to have his own show
The ghost of Christmas never
Oh God WatchMojo making a Scooby Doo video while a shaggy meme is popular what a coincidence
And we would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids!
Why is only one eye glowing in the thumbnail? You're not even capitalizing on the meme properly bruh
Luigistyle if shaggy let both eyes glow his power would’ve destroyed the thumbnail, it had to be one eye.

They missed mano tiki tia. He's not scary but one of the craziest.
You mean the witch doctor. Mono tiki tia was the giant statue. But I agree with you. It should have been on the list
the disc demon: looks like if KISS and the Joker had a baby... LOL!!
The #DiabolicalDiscDemon gave me the #creeps also - especially when they did that #facialcloseup on him after #ScoobyandShaggy escaped from that room after '#playingcards' with him. Other favorite #episodes: "#AScaryNightWithASnowBeastFright", "#AHighlandFlingWithAMonstrousThing", "#CreepyCruise" and "#TheGhostoftheBadHumorMan." Of course, there were many more, but I enjoyed each of those episodes a great deal.
The young version of scooby doo the music got me
BRENDA LEAKE I ship it-
Scooby Doo is one of the best shows on television!
I think it’s the best anime and best show
Kelli Vincent Lol, Scooby Doo isn’t an anime...😄
One of the classics for sure.
It was, the best scooby doo was the original 70s, and then the late 90's with the movies they made. But after a while with the revamped shows. It just lost it's magic for me

To bad it was only ten that had a living screen time.
Pretty much all of the monsters here were used again in the future. Video Game: Night of 100 Frights, Movie: Cyber Chase Level 10, and even made some cameos in the series Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated
Gator Ghoul was in Cyber Chase though.
The Space Kook and Phantom Shadows are my favourites because they have the creepiest laughs! After 50 years the original Scooby Doo is still the best!
Your remember the phantom that walked through walls in that castle his laugh is iconic
My fav. was The Creeper and Captain Cutler. I'm glad they've made it to the live action in Scooby-Doo 2 movie, even The Creeper just a statue in there.
Wow...it's...strange see the lady behind the voice

I totally agree! That laugh is so iconic...
He’s the scariest one, which makes him the best
That episode is one of my all-time favorites of the original series :)
Agreed
Yas Queen Yas
Space kook is fcking scary af. I swear the old Scooby doo shows had dramatic music affects and scary ass laughs .
But was funny and fun watching
EXACTLY! I've always legitimately found Where Are You to be creepy as hell! The animation, character designs, stories and especially music!
Ebenezer should've been in the honorable mentions with that laugh of his.
Charlie the funland robot frightened me to death as a kid.
I had a video of 3hrs worth of scooby doo eps & that one & Skeleton robot had to be fast forward over 😂
Youve opened a barrier i had blocked from memory 😢😢

The Creeeper literally gave me nightmares when I was a little girl. I had a dream he was chasing me and backed me up at the edge of a cliff, I woke up punching the absolute sh!t out my dad! Lol Another one of my favorites was the abominable snowman ghost when the gang met Laurel and Hardy!
Omg ! That’s from the obscure second incarnation of the franchise! Not a lot of people remember that ghost! They usually think think of Snow Ghost from That’s Snow Ghost.
@@dolljock Right
The Creeper one was when I learned that any bird species, or animal that is born from an egg follows and thinks the first thing they see is their mother. Lol its actually true, and I still laugh at that scene
Shaggy: oh no Scooby, that little chick thinks your it's mother.
Scooby-Doo: okay you "meep meep", me "ruff, ruff"
Baby chick: ruff ruff
Shaggy: oh great now he thinks he's a dog.
He even ate Scooby's Scooby snack lol #Goodtimes
@@teentitans0 Yes, I love that episode! Another reason I like it because if you pay attention, the Creeper was taking serious hits from the gang! Scooby punches him in the face, Velma kicks him, just hilarious comedy! Lol 🤣
The weirdest episode to me is the one where the headless specter(not the headless horseman) is the relative. The twist is that they help him find the treasure and take down the real villain
“Looking like a member of Kiss and the Joker had a baby” 😂
Captain cutler was one of my favorites lol
The Ghost of Captain Cutler will always be my personal favorite villain from the show, as it was the first thing that got me interested in those old fashioned diving suits that he wore in the show. An odd hobby/interest, perhaps, but it’s stuck with me for years!
I always loved the sounds for him too
Def the creepiest. Imagine drowning alone in the cold dark murky waters, ghost ships, and bloated corpses. *shiver *
His run was creepy af too
Damn I remember watching these when I got home from kindergarten. Wow. Good old days😍😍
I still watch them after a long day at work
Your Mom same dude i just got nostalgia hit watching your comment
Why cant they make cartoons like they used to? The last two versions of Scooby-Doo were terrible, and What's New Scooby-Doo was okay but not as good as the ones from the 70's and 80's, and pretty much all the cartoons that came out between the 60's and early 2000's were better than anything that came out in the last 10 years.
I have a collection of the first few episodes of the original series and I loved it. Then the disc got scratched and now I can’t watch it anymore. I wish I could live those days again
@@goldenphantom2259 I have a DVD of some of the What's New Scooby-Doo episodes, I haven't watched them in years, that show was ok but not as good as the original.
I remember that circus episode with the clown that hypnotized almost the whole gang scared the hell outta me when I was a kid. That should’ve definitely been one of the tops!
Omg, hated that episode as the clown scared the hell out of me as a kid.
Shouldve been one of the "big Tops" if you will xD

Captain cutler who appeared so often afterwards.
Captain red beard

The 10,000 volt ghost tho 😭😭😭
Actually a solid list. I would've included the Sanitarium Ghost who haunted the mental hospital just to cover up a smuggling route of stolen gold.
I just watched that episode again in a while and it wasn't him that was scary, it was the entire episode itself with the wigs acting as dead patients. I would also put the Phantom Puppeteer in this category because when the doorman turned out to be a puppet, I probably shit my pants as a kid.
@@matthewstarr2873 That was a great episode. Didn't like it at first, but the 2nd time was scarier. What really was terrifying was Zombie Island (the 99 movie). I had nightmares as a teenager on occasion even after thinking about it. It was that good
I appreciate the spoiler alert
9:50 I actually live near a town called Winterhaven in Florida!
Captain Cutler has always been my favorite
What? What about Iron Face, the pirate ghost that jet skied on sharks? He's (or should I say "she's") definitely one of the most iconic Scooby Doo monsters.
Or Redbeard’s ghost.
Or the caveman.
Gramps the vamp
He it's like if a female voice actor plays a male character
What about “Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats”?! The laugh is haunting.
Gramp the Vamp was the only one that scared the shit outta me for real
And he roars like a cougar.
Definitely, that laugh used to freak me out when I was little
+theycallmebearclaw for me it wasn't the laugh but that one scene with Daphne and Velma in their beds. That was freaky, the little ambient and then he made this scary (stupid now) noise like Aye or something as his face zoomed in
Good one
How the Black Knight wasn’t top 5 let alone on the list is beyond me
True
Right he was the first Scooby Doo villain.
How are we not gonna talk about Gramps the Vamp?? Space Kook's laugh is good but his laugh is nightmare fuel

That would destroy all life on earth, that's why he always run away

This was my favourite cartoon when I was little. But I stil like it sooo much.
"Jeepers It's The Creeper" has to be one of the most enjoyable episodes of the franchise. It's so bonkers (funny, action packed, creepy). That crazy farm scene toward the end with the nutty chase is pretty epic. I think it's the first time you hear of a character being knocked out by one of the monsters. Also, they kind of do a good job of kicking the creeper's ass throughout the episode.
Kooky Space Kook is also one of the coolest monsters for that laugh alone.
Finally, yeah, the green shadowy phantoms were also cool. That's one fo the creepiest episodes.
The Ghost of Captain Cutler and Charlie The robot gave my nightmare when I was a kid 😰
This is actually a good idea for a video
If anything it makes me want to watch the old Scooby-Doo shows now, I don't think I've ever seen the Tar Monster episode or the Scooby-Doo Show.
OH man. That frickin laughing space monster. Oh the memories. I love you guys!!
This is why I loved Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, as it brought all of these great monsters to life.
And give them a buffet of umph

I find it a disgrace that The Black Knight Ghost is an honourable mention, it's the monster or ghost that introduced us to this fun property.
I know, I was shocked when I saw him as an honorable mention along with Miner Forty-Niner, and the Mummy wasn't even mentioned!
They didn’t even give a honorable mention to Redbeard’s ghost.

I think that there are alot more ghost you could do. Such as the ice cream phantoms, the ghosts of 76, the no faced zombie, and the mad doctor ghost, all from the scooby doo show.
The Black Knight deserves to be in the top 10 instead of in the honorable mentions in my opinion, he is really scary and has a great design.
6:31 The episode, “A Night of Fright is no Delight” was indeed actually used for the Supernatural + Scooby-Doo crossover episode. Thanks WatchMojo!
I love Scooby-Doo! Even have the original live action movies still.
Maybe a list of monsters for all of the other Scooby-Doo series?
That would be an interesting list to look over like The Phantom Virus and the various Loch Ness Monsters as it was an interesting case to deal with as even though the virus was meant for scares, it would pose a huge problem that not even the creator can do anything to stop it and for the second one being interesting for multiples for different reasons while the finale points out that the real one is still out there, still truly a mystery.
Exactly
The Mummy with the "coin" chant should be on that list. And, the goofiest was the Witch Doctor in Hawaii...
I totally agree with the picks. My favorites however are the Record Demon (the Phantom), the Phantom Shadows (Green Ghosts), and the Phantom Puppeteer.
