I live here. the Mr Taco you mentioned burnt down on Aug 22, 2023.. The first park was a playground for a church. Mascot is Eagle. The jr high is across from the High School and theire is a new elementary school built. The oil smell was nauseating to me when I moved here 12 years ago, but I rarely notice it now. The bldg you saw is kind of an outdoor stage/arena...where local activites are held...namely the Watermelon Thump Festival. Watermelon's and oil are sort of trademarks of this village. Ive heard it Looling, Loo-lin, Lull ling, ..... We have a few new business in that downtown strip that you drove through.

My dads mother and my uncles and aunts lived in this town, visited oftern when I was a child. City Market has great bbq and sausage. Thanks for the Video.
this is my hometown that the sponsor group baptist church hot my family landing here in 1979 and we are the only asian family there back then it always carry with till today i visit often and look back with all the memories
