God can use the gift of tongues it can be a source of great power, wisdom and edification to everyone who calls on Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Have a problem to big to deal with? No worries.. take it to the Lord in prayer. As the Holy Spirit prays through your spirit (Romans 8:26-27) or you pray with tongues (1 Corinthians 14:4), you'll receive the peace of God and, in the right timing, the Holy Spirit how to proceed and will "work all things together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." He is faithful!

After of years of praying for tongues I recently had the faith to receive it. The Holy Spirit was also kind enough to make sure I knew it was not myself but supernatural. I pray someday I will have all the gifts. Oh how I wish the world knew the Bible is true and God never changes.

I enjoy Wigglesworths teaching also. I will say that that there are two operations of speaking in tongues:
1) The initial evidence that a believer, in every case, that a believer has recieved the Holy Spirit. And the born again believers private prayer language for their edification
2) The gift of speaking in tongues that is accompanied by a believer with the gift of interpretation for the edification of a church gathering .
And tongues for a sign for unbelievers as evidenced at the day of Pentacost.
Of the 18 videos in this series, this is my favorite for some reason..

I'm a disciple and born again Christian Pentecostal church.
I speak with tongues and engage in the 5 fold prophetic ministry.
I would like to have interpretation of tongues to build up the church of God in Scotland.
I have prayed for this and in the name of Jesus l shall have.
Jesus said ask anything in my name and you shall have it.
In the name of Jesus l Shall have interpretation of tongues.

Smith Wigglesworth was a British evangelist (1859-1947). God used him mightily. He was a simple man who had a deep reverence for God's word.

Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.
What about praising God in tongues publicly with other Christians?

Great question! It’s voice actor Herb Merriweather. He spent considerable time studying Wigglesworth’s personal life so he accurately depict him (minus the British accent, of course 😀)

Read it slower so people can appreciate what is being said...it isn't a reading race.

If you as a Christian is a beleiver of the word ..then you don't require the sign . There are no tongues ..the gibberish .. ..it's a language ..don't fool the people ..

There are two main key points to guide people in Fathers Word to waters for Tongues. Acts 11:15-16, Where Peter knew they where filled...he said, they where filled like they where previously....how did that happen how did Peter know ? Previously , there was signs... a mighty wind and speaking in Tongues as the Set Apart Spirt gave utterance to each in Acts 2:1-13. Also where Peter talks to all the nations when they laughed and thought they where drunk...he addressed all the nations there in what language if I may ask? See Acts 2:14-16.... Our flesh is against our Soul(Spirit), therefore those who dwell in the flesh will seek after the flesh...they will struggle to understand tongues...but those who seek to walk in the Spirit(Soul) will understand there is tongues....with these words I do knot condemn anyone nor am I saying you are lost if you don't speak in tongues... I stand in Truth against those who deny speaking in tongues for I stand with the Set Apart Spirit to not speak against the gifts of the Spirit.

+Funny Dummy He gets most of his understanding of this gift out of 1 corinthians. That's a mistake. Corinth never had tongues. Paul was regulating a counterfeit. Before you jump on that let me tell you I've spent the better part of the last 30 years researching that. This would include Pauls unique style when facing a formidable challenge ie. How do you convince the spiritually defunct that they truly are just that. Defuncts who actually believe they have something that makes them spiritually superior to all other believers. That was the situation at Corinth.

+Funny Dummy The best way to understand tongues is in understanding the narratives of the gifts 4 occurances. Acts 2 , 8,10 and 19. These events span about 25 years. The beliefs established were these; the Messiah' s coming was past not future...Jesus was that Messiah acts 2, the samaritans could be saved acts 8, the gentiles could be saved acts 10, and Paul should go back to preaching the gospel to the Jews acts 19. These were watershed moments in time. The tongues spoken in every case were the SPECIFIC languages of the hearers. It astounded them proving to them the Devine origin of the messages. That is not the kind of tongues spoken today nor in Corinth. Paul knew that Corinthian "tongues" were frauds. He had witnessed the real deal in Ephesus and it blew him away. He wrote to Corinth knowing that the segment of the church buying into this false pagan oriented version of "tongues " would not accept a frontal assalt on that which made them think they were spiritual so he,in his "unto the Jew I became a Jew" style co-opted this experience taking it over, appearing to be for it giving instructions for its use which in the end destroyed it, exposing it's leading heretic along the way.
Jeff Engstrom You’ve really searcher this out! I’m impressed. I’ve read a number of Smith Wigglesworth’s sermons and know he looked at the Acts accounts... I’m not saying he took them into account in this video. So how would you explain tongues to a new believer? (In a nutshell)
