One thing i realize about China Tech stocks .. you can do whatever analysis, but a lot still depends on what the CCP says and do. Unless the crackdown stops and the regulators shows sign of easing, the rebound will not come.

Hi Josh, it has been 7 mths and a lot has happened. I believe you have also completed your DCA plan for the HSTech index unless you have revised your plan. Can you share some views on this index and what is happening in HK and China, whether this index is still worth doing DCA. thank you
@@joshconsultancy hi josh...thks for your kind reply. With all the happenings with tech, what time horizon r u looking at to see the index coming back up?
I am vested in Capitaland China Trust.. which is good on valuation and yield... hopefully we can see a higher low for CLCT. Lucky to have clear all China equity earlier and escape from the fall... who can imagine BABA at $110-$120 level few months back.. Will be interested to see how other investors get into china tech.... ETF? Unit Trust? Hope to learn something here.
CLCT has been declining too recently but I do think they are sound. "who can imagine BABA at $110-$120 level few months back" - indeed. For anyone keen to learn on investing and emotion handling, this is actually a very good test bed to understand bear markets. Its always a matter of time before global equity markets or even crypto markets hit a 1y bear like that we saw in GFC
@Josh Tan - TheAstuteParent CLCT is a good bet for me. Good parent and gearing is low while dividend yield is good. Buy and hold as i am strong believer in China long term growth. There is a video clip on Tiktok talking about US printing money and then raise interest rate (previous asia crisis) to transfer their debt to everyone else. This time round, China is well prepared as they take early action on the property bubbles. The move to force Didi back to HK for listing maybe just the start.... (counter-measure) to stop US from using this trick again.
hi josh, a month has passed and HST has been making lower lows. What is your thoughts on this and are you still continuing with you DCA. Pls share your views. Thank you
Bear markets need a lot of patience. Hence the DCA is for 50weeks. Some updates here, have you seen ~ HOW I SAVE AND INVEST 70% OF MY INCOME | STEPS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM 💥ua-cam.com/video/6xZHFUNNFm0/v-deo.html
I Did some comparison… comparing 1/3/5 years performance… JPM china A and Allianz china A performance are so much better than sfye’s. I suggest to DCA JPM and Allianz rather than sfye. ETF only to re-adjust every 3 to 6 month which is too long. China market are to fluid, PM needs eyeball the situation.
The approach is sound in my opinion. BTW do you have the TER of the china growth theme ? They don't specify. That's a show slower or stopper for me via syfe
It will be syfe fee on top of etf expense ratio, definitely not the cheapest idea. But I’m looking for system and automation, if the idea works and doesn’t cost me time, it will more than pay for it :)
May not have an answer. Generally I think thematics tend to focus on whats hyped up and popular. This china portfolio is an exception. The bigger impact factor could be your approach more than we can perform better.
I don't think it is anywhere near the bottom. Once income falls off for the government, they will start increasing more fines for more companies and individuals. Then the government will eat itself with more control. It will take a few years to sort out the mess. I would invest in other Asian markets as a safer alternative. However it will be interesting to see your results so I wish you the best of luck.

Whats there to be afraid of i just dont get it. Just get a HK listed one even for ETFs. If you still insist on getting US listed ones, only buy companies which also has HK listing as well
Delisting is unlikely to occur. China is working on terms to ensure its companies can "show" sensitive data in auditing without compromising national security. There is so much that china can lose here - losing future foreign capital from biggest market in the world - that i dont think they will choose not to cooperate.
Always like being a contrarian investor and it has proven profitable time and again. Just wondering if there is any objective indicator (similar to the CNN Fear & Greed index for US stocks) to measure fear/greed sentiments for China stocks? Thanks for the vid!
No probs WJ, i also believe contrarian is very rewarding. No specific indicator but i guess a v simple way is to see what is hyped on social media. China tech is all fear right now with delisting and other concerns. The bear in 2021 has worn down many believers already
Not too sure about this.. the last time I watched your video on Ali baba’s impressive Q4 earnings back in Jan, I pumped in and lost 50% of what I put within. The stock is fundamentally sound but CCP isn’t
$1000 per week is too low for any meaningful investment. Your thumbnail states $50,000. Are you going to invest for 50 weeks with cash lying around?? This is the same problem CG had about your method, and he is right.
problem? interesting... is the problem too slow a pace or not getting a winning approach? Tip in life, define the problem correctly first and you save a lot of hassle.

maybe. I view it as part of the overall pessimistic outlook
Don’t tikum lor. Wait for regulator to ease regulations before committing your money. There is no hurry to buy.

Thoughts on LKCO ?
No idea of it sorry. what are your thoughts
Chinese tech company recently getting hit hard but bullish on future endeavors
Hi Josh, can you update us your Syfe SReit+. Its been a while since you update. Second, are you dca ing into Syfe Equity 100?
My syfe reit+ performance? Flat as per all who have reits. 2021 hasnt been to good. Need time
I thought so. Invested heavily in reits in 2021 via dca and thought of stopping and put the large amt into equity instead. your thoughts?
I have Baba in both HKSE and NYSE. How do I consolidate them in HKSE?
By right its fungible but i dunno the transfer process. At worse sell it and rebuy in HK. Anyone can chime in?
Jai Hinduja. Arbitrage as HK stock looks cheaper
I'm interested why you buy 1000 each week, instead of, say, 143 per day? Do you use a broker that charges per purchase?
Dollar cost average if past a certain number of repetitions, because once the amount becomes small relative to total size, it losses its effectiveness
any idea what should we do with DIDI stocks? can we hold? or sell for loss
Difficult to answer. Id suggest more importantly to look back at the decision to buy and critique for future prevention of this dillemma
