In Ireland, second hand Toyota Aquas have recently been imported into Ireland (and other RHD countries) and it's apparent that we don't get the better car. The prev Yaris hybrid was fine, but more expensive and less good on space and aero.
Imagine if there were a yaris-verso-like 7 seat hybrid in Europe? 😳🤯
As class competing with 7 seaters and family vehicles in EU and US, the Sienta is immensely practical, efficient, etc etc .
Very good value for money.
And western markets are said that they don't want small cars or weird looking cars.
That all cars have to be heavy crossovers looking like SUVs. Just Money madness

Man I would love one of these in Australia. I don’t want an SUV, but I want a car that’s physically bigger than an average hatchback, but smaller than a full van.
These are super popular in Singapore and Taiwan, I dunno why Toyota doesn’t bring them here…
Same! There are some companies that can import one for you. I haven’t done it myself (just thinking about it). I think the downside is no warranty, fixed price servicing etc that you get if you buy a car “officially” on sale in Australia. Plus you also have to pay some costs for cargo, compliance and agent fees

The Sienta will be very interesting but to sell here in India it needs to be less than 4 meters in length and the engine displacement not exceeding 1.2 liters. Otherwise taxes will total 43% making it impossible for a good many of us to shoulder 😅.

@@DANDYfamilycar Yes, but I am really looking forward to have k-cars in countries outside Japan. Sakura for example, that you have reviewed. I am European, living in Taiwan (have visited Japan many times) and I really think k-cars should go to rest of Asia and Europe. Especially now with the energy crisis and high-prices, small, well-made, reliable cars like k-cars will be the best sellers.
By the way, I love your reviews (as well as Japanese cars - owner of a Lexus and a Suzuki)! :-)
