So much to like here, your lighting and explanation and overlay of images was super on point! I really loved your explanation of the kingfisher photo at 1:10. That being said, I do wish you explained why this technique is useful in portrait photography or show what kind of dynamic movements Joy was doing! Perhaps this technique is most useful when there is more action for example if the subject was dancing or doing sports? Overall, really love your content, can't wait for more videos(:
What you are calling "flash blur" is technically called 2nd Curtain Flash. It is because in longer exposures, the curtain is pulled from in front of your sensor (or film) and then right before the curtain closes the flash fires to freeze your image.
Rear sync, second curtain flash, slow synchro photography, second curtain sync. Check the other comments here suggesting the name they learned for it. These are probably more correct than the name I came up with but I’m not sure if there’s a universally agreed term :)
Great video, will be trying this technique out with the Godox Lux Junior :)

Yup exactly it's really great when taking photos of dancing and such. Thanks for the feedback!
More of these videos please! 🎉
I'm on it! 🫡
You my friend have just discovered slow synchro photography. It was popular in the late 2000's and some cameras even have a setting for it.
The more you know. Thanks for the info 😃

Haha this is a drawback of being self-taught 😅 sometimes not knowing the technical names of things. Thanks for the info!
Flash/Blur is what we called it in the 80s, I believe that most nowadays refer to it as ‘“Shutter Drag”
isn't it called rear sync?

I am here for the birds. #Birdboozled
