      Ole Hank thinks that Guam will capsize if it’s overcrowded. It used to be intellects in Congress. Today, the more you can manipulate, the more successful the politician.

    Should be illegal to pay inmates 9 cents am hour. I would be in the hole because I wouldn't work. Inmates should be paid the same as those on the outside. The earnings could be used to support their families, pay court fees, their commission account, the rest saved and giving to them when they leave.

    The American people deserve a impartial independent investigation into everyone's finances in Washington DC. We must hold all the wrongdoings accountable and responsible for their actions.

    that is why we're here today, to pass legislation acknowledging we have too many laws. yeah, i foresee this resulting in literally nothing more than a waste of time, heartfelt and well-intended though it may be.

      It would require a comprehensive overhaul of the federal legal code, something that the alphabet agencies will never allow to happen.

      @@ravengrey6874 solutions?

    • @ravengrey6874
      @ravengrey6874 Місяць тому +1

      @@Right_Dude_Here The simplest solution would be a "reset to zero". Congress decides what on several divisions of law, likely based on authorized executive departments, and establishes a fresh framework of basic laws that cover most situations. Regulatory powers of the executive dept. are strictly defined, legal precedent is reset, and all previous legal code not explicitly kept in place is repealed. Note, I said "simplest" not "simple".

    1:18:04 you might be saying to yourselves, “we already have mandatory supervised treatment programs in place for parolees and probationers”. You’d not be wrong. I will tell you from experience, these programs, specifically those which facilitate treatment for substance/alcohol abuse, are not taken seriously by those who have seen fit to mandate them, but rather they are quite literally, quite obviously designed for failure, and therefor directly support the prison industrial complex, not the re-entry of individuals into society. For those who are subject to these programs but have no interest in sobriety these programs are merely a speed bump(no pun intended) on the path to freedom from law enforcement supervision.

    Can we please get a similar examination of the horrifically unfair overly punitive legislation in the state's family court systems? Please note that, following repeated visits to those courts men suffer ten times the suicide rate that women do. Many actions taken by those courts are VERY counter-productive to the supposed goals but serve very well to punish men for being men (for instance, upon falling into arrears through no fault of their own men who have a processional license to practice their profession often find that license revokes, making it impossible to maintain the needed income level to pay child support and pay off the arrears, but there is no corresponding reduction in the monthly child support obligation. This makes is impossible to EVER meet the court's requirements, and results in multiple jailings for failing to pay off the arrears.) I classify the laws governing the family court systems as crimes against humanity, but since they overwhelmingly affect men no one cares.

      @@hesuschrist9527 I was once a member of a Men's Rights group in Silicon Valley, having suffered in Family Court. We used to have weekly meetings, with guests. One time the guest was the San Jose DA in charge of Family Court. He said that he had many deputy DAs working under him, and he admitted that 90% of them were single feminist women with an agenda. That explained a lot to us. Those courts were created by feminists, legislated by feminists, and staffed by feminists, all with a seething hatred of men.
