- This is a portrait of Catherine I painted a few years ago ..... I will be doing a new one of her in a few weeks - once Ive sorted out my studio .... got an idea for something a bit unusual ....

who agrees that this drawing is 100% better that the one that so called artist made,they really need more lessons or new glasses.
I do not agree! It's 1000% truer to Princess Catherine than that mess trying to pass as artwork.
It's not just that the drawing is better; it is heart-felt, passionate, and absolutely complimentary. Absolutely stunning!!!!!! Love your post!

I found the other “portrait” of Princess Catherine horrible. The artist must have eyesight issues. Looked like a kids paint by numbers kit. I would have been offended had my portrait turned out like that. Just looks like a generic person in a tiara. I don’t think that artist likes or has any respect for our lovely and warm hearted Catherine!

Because it is the Tatler, which is owned by Conde Naste( Nasty), and also own People, outlet for Henry and his 1st wife, and Vogue. However, Tatler has history with belittling Catherine and her family. Anna Paternak wrote a scathing piece a few years ago. That is why they both commissioned and then printed the awful portrait.

Yes! This is such a beautiful, heartfelt portrait, portraying the shining light and beauty that is our beloved Princess Catherine.
This needs to be sent to the Tattler so they can see how badly they were taken for a ride...but send a copy as they DON'T deserve the original !!
I would keep them all and present the series at a future date. What a lovely gift that would make, but definitely share them with the family if you can.
Blame Tatler… the least they could have done was use the original photo.

@@trudisinclair8817 you mean the portrait by the African artist - you're not the first person to comment, on another chanel, on the likeness to Meghan and their thoughts was that the portrait was meant to insult Catherine. Others have said that for a renowned artist that it's not her usual work.

The eyes are perfect and show hope and kindness that no one else has managed to capture. There is beauty within Catherine, and you have shown it. The eyes are the windows to the soul captured beautifully here.
Just further to my comment above it also moved me to some sadness because there is strength and also vulnerability in those eyes. A sense of both trust and betrayal inflicted on her
