strong evapo-rust soak, dump and fill with at least one more gallon per tank with washed river rock or 3/4 stone in with evapo-rust . strap tanks to outer wheels of high clear 165 ...jack up tractor in very stable way , put tractor in low gear and let tires/tanks rotate for a while There is a 'milky' tank coat that antique car restore people use...get at least a quart...follow directions on can...anything left in tank will permanently coat and freeze to the inside of the tank... been there done that and it works! at least worked for me...
Those tires aren’t bad at all, and I’ll bet someone could use those cast centers to ballast something. I’ll probably toss them on marketplace and move them along 😉
I’m looking at the exact same model as yours I read they had transmission issues was that your experience with yours this far? I seen video when you split it for the hydraulic pump shaft but You see anything with your transmission or was that just the guys with green paint nay saying?
I’ve had no issues. The only issue I can imagine anyone having would be the multi power (powershift) going out. It’s a clutch pack and wears like anything if used incorrectly. When it goes the tractor can still be used, you just lose engine braking and the 1/2 gear up shift to hi MP. Parts are readily available and affordable. Easy to work on. I’d take a whole fleet of 1000 series tractors 😉
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 we are looking for a 90-100hp loader 3pt hitch tractor and the 1100 fits the bill was just uncertain cause the “internet” says could have transmission issues but I don’t care what colour the tractor is they all break down eventually especially at this vintage but price size and hp fits the 80 acres of hay we wanna make and bale moving operations in yard and snow removal Thanks for help and input much appreciated! Hello from the great white North by the way Great videos very helpful especially for my current situation
1100 great tractors, ours has rusty tanks too,. looking into the evaporust also. Waiting to see if you ever mess with the injectors. i know mine needs a couple rebuilt or replaced, Looking at getting an 1155, ever had any experience with them? For work not show. Keep it up. good stuff.
The 4 and 6 cylinders were better than the v8. Calcium chloride rust out your rims, antifreeze works better, always keep fuel tanks full in winter they rust when they are low on fuel. You could have a sheetmetal welding shop make some new tanks
I was thinking the same as Kurt, evaporust. Seen it work before. I'd be worried if the pickup tube is perforated though. It's either that or welding up some fuel cells. But then you'd have a Hot. Rod. Massey. Oh, and the "Dating Elixer" Just about snorted and passed out. Effing hullarious.
Thanks JT for the video, looking foward to the massey's doing some spring tillage. Keep the good videos coming.
Great video. Rims and tires look good...👍
Thanks! Rides like a new tractor cruising down the road now too!

Thanks! That sounds like the way to go
We ran 23.1 34 R2 on our 1100 and 1130
Thanks for sharing
The 34s still have some tread left if they have good sidewalls ,maybe sell them

L👀king good with 18.4x38 👍🏻! How did it feel when you took it for a ride ?
Really smooth! Noticeably faster in high gear, but basically like a brand new tractor 😉
The wheels on the tractor go round and round.. 😂😂😂
Hey JT,,is that an aftermarket cab?
It is. Not sure who made that one. Couldn’t find a tag on it
How much per tire?😬👍
Those were around 850 a tire I believe at that time
😲👍
Hi friend they big tyres look good on the tractor please keep the great videos coming and please stay safe friend from Scotland 👍😊
Well, you sure don’t back down from a challenge!! Much respect. 👌
Thanks! I always find a way, one way or another 😉
Thangs for great videos 😅
It's the best tractor y o u ever had... 👍👍👍👍👍
1100 looking good, does the cab have a heater? Just curious
It does. It’s the only part of that ridiculously tall cab that is good 😆

Hello from the great white North by the way
Great videos very helpful especially for my current situation
Did I miss Fluffy or hopefully she was inside where it's warm 🐈. Good video as always.
She stayed inside 😉. She likes to keep her distance when dad is using the loud stuff😬

I have a cousin with a 1155 he purchased new and still uses it every spring. Been good to him, the 540 is a little thirsty but I’d expect that 😉
Them big tyres look super.

My dad had tractor like that 1100
And after a while we named it eleven trouble 😂😂😂
Good video tho

Thanks 😆.
I might try the evapo rust. I’ve used it once before with good results, worth a shot 👍🏻
Do those massey power adjust rims have a left and right or are they the same?
They are the same.
👍
Looks good , put some big tires on the front and take her on up some more.
I was thinking that too.. maybe some fat diamond treads? I’ll have to start shopping some yards 😉
