SAVED BY THE BELL (2020): When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state - including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can't be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.

Lisa and Kelly were extraordinary in those leos. Jessie is ok too. But Kelly darn it. She was exquisite and so was her body.
Good dancers for their age. No wonder Jesse was superb in "Showgirls" as a dancer.
Showgirls is actually considered one of the worst movies ever made. A monumental stinker. However, this isn't Elizabeth Berkley's fault, she was really good in it, playing a drifter turned showgirl.

This was great. "Jessie's Song". Can't ever forget this episode with the caffeine pill addiction. I'm always amazed that the show got away with putting the girls in those outfits in the early 90's on NBC's Saturday morning lineup. Because thats when most kids were watching. I remember watching this episode then. Of course these outfits are tame compared to today.
I remember watching some tv special years later about the show and one of the NBC executives said they were shocked that they didn't get flagged for it. Because back then they were particularly sensitive about things like that.

This is one of my favorite SBTB episodes. Great lesson at the end…you don’t have to be the best at every single thing. 90s sitcoms taught a lot of lessons back then. We are so far gone off the reservation these days 🤦♂️

The crazy part of this is that song is original, if they were to put out that song, it'll probably do well
I used to love this episode especially the music video.
''I may as well take poison now'' . Well, that's essentially what she was doing with those caffeine pills. This episode highlights the potential pressures and dangers of overachieving and the methods that academically gifted students like Jessie does in this situation to meet their ambitions.
The music video was great, it would have been cool if they released it as a single.

I remember a chick in our high school was taking caffeine pills for the same reason-to study. We were all like "OMG how could she?" Considering what's out there now, might as well be Tic Tacs.
And if this episode was made now, this would have been a separate video promoted and put on social media. It would have gone viral.

Kind off unrelated but : Is the new SBTB worth watching? I didn't even grow up in the 90's (was born in 2000) but I just love the classic so much. I know it won't have the same exact vibe since times are different but I don't want to be disappointed. Ideally I would like to know what people who grew up with the classic think about the new SBTB.

The cast is all currently between t0 and 52, Dustin Diamond was the youngest and would be 47 today if he were alive, Elizabeth Berkley was the oldest of the main cast. I'm 48 and graduated in 94. The kids of Saved By the Bell graduated in 92, so the timing works.
