Am not a church person but just a bible reader and a good listener. Being listening to every religions leaders, and i think Seventh day adventist is more different. The reason why, because every vs in the bible they talk about it, the whole bible agrees. The rest of religions a so confused. When they talk about one vs of the bible, and the rest of the bible disagree. Put it this way. They've said that gods law has been replaced by the man who died on the the cross, but the man himself called Jesus said, i didn't come to destroy the law but to fulfil. Mathew 5:17. Oh, well. Im still reading the bible trying to find out who are they.
I like for you my friend to send off for bible study. Look up AMAZING FACTS WITH DOUG BATCHELOR, THE LESSONS ARE FREE. YOU FOLLOW ALONG WITH THE BIBLE, Let leave with this Jeremiah 29:13 Ye shall seek ME and find ME, when you seek ME with all your heart ❤
He Was A Wonderful Preacher. Know He Has Passed On. Unfortunately For Me I Cannot Hear What Hes Saying. The Volume on The Mic Needs to be Raised. Blessings 🙏
A woman I met in a Thrift shop told me how she became SDA without knowing it. Someone invited her to meetings about a week before they ended. When the Evangelist asked for anyone who wanted to be baptized she went forward. The following week her friend called to remind her of the Sabbath School time. You're a member now and that means we go to church weekly. She replied, I'm a member? I didn't know that I was joining the Church when I got baptized. It is dishonest to baptize people without them being properly taught the doctrines and withou them knowing they are joining the Church and concenting joyfully to being baptised. Unfortunately that seems to be a trend among some as they believe that all One must do to be baptized is to believe.
You sound very critical and unhappy. Forced service is not acceptable to God and it is your decision to stay or leave if this is your experience. Serve God with gladness
She went forward of own volition. She chose. She allowed herself. Why cast ashes on the one thst invited? As for the friend, that friend was reminding her of what was needful having committed. A good friend! The issue is not others. Nevertheless...
@@ricardoleslie9811 It is the soul winner's RESPONSIBILITY to make sure that the one who is desiring baptism understands and is committed to following the teachings of Jesus as is taught by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is to make sure that the candidate has been properly instructed. One week is not adequate time to do that. The soul winner is to point out specifically that being baptized is a decision to follow Jesus all the way and also to JOIN the SDA Church. If he fails to do this he is not being ethical. It is also true that if he fails to teach tithing, Sabbath keeping, healthful living, Christian dress and adorning, he is not being truthful and honest. He is an unfaithful pastor. And yes, if he does not teach about the role of Ellen G. White in the church, he is likewise withholding information that could make a difference and make the one being baptised feel tricked. I know I would feel so. It is always best to be upfront and transparent and let them make the decision well informed. So we will have solid well informed members and much fewer disappearing converts in my opinion.

@edithdotson7603 Be careful... you are going a step too far. Even David... even David DID NOT DARE say an evil word against the Lord's Anointed, King Saul. 1 Timothy 5:1 (KJV) Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; ☝️ And Paul? Acts 23:4-5 (KJV) And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people. ☝️ I am sorry, but I cannot join you in rebuking one who God empowered as the leader of His (God's) flock. I will not condemn myself.
