Today I finally finished all 100 floors of my legendary Arcadia, every single one of them without skipping any! I breathe a huge sigh of satisfaction after such a task that took me days. Then shortly afterward I go online and realize that Item Worlds now have infinite floors, and work under a completely different system. Ffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-- In seriousness though, thank you for this excellent video! I've been a bit lost and on my own since getting the game trying to crack efficient methods for all the things to do, such as in the above anecdote, and now that I've seen someone demonstrate a solid guideline of how to Item World in D5 I think I'll feel a lot less lost in how to go about my game. Thank you again! No more wasting half a week fighting through 100 floors for purely inferior gains. Since I thought Item Worlds still had 100 floors maximum I was trying to be as efficient as possible in clearing rooms, and managed to make a Lv251 item in just 100 floors... and I was so insanely proud of myself, but now, finding out about the new infinite floors rule makes me feel a little deflated, like I wasted a major accomplishment :( But it is very good to know, so I say thank you again. Next run will be even better.
You forgot to note that if you do talk to the fortune shop that the fortune can be undone by simply beating up the fortune teller, all you have to do is start a battle by talking to her a couple times after she asks you to leave. It resets the taken levels and gives a bonus.
+Joshua S Actually, I was unaware you could do that. I figured the floor was just a pass/fail stage (sort of like the duplication room) and stopped messing with it after three or four failures.
Admiral Vic I have never discovered the duplication room so I wouldn't know if you could use this there. You can do the same for the fortune shops and other places in previous games. Other places you can use this for exapmple...is the lady that gives you the fist weapon "Pie" if you talk to the other girl who gets hit with the pie a couple times you can start a battle and get both "Pie" and a bonus.
If you're just starting out in the item world and you come across an event where you steal from a bank, do NOT talk to her twice. Disgaea 5 is normally very lenient on the player because the item world event characters scale with the item's level, but the "guards" that spawn from this event are always around level 5000 and you can't even Mr. Gency out.
+CamperCarl00 I had the same thing happen to me, but I found out that the exit is just glitched and wasn't showing. Use a fist weapon to move the gate cat and you can leave by walking on the spot they were in.
+Joshua S It could be that their level scales depending on what level you are, because I'm pretty sure that my guards weren't max level. I encountered this event when I was around level 50 in the item world.
I was in one of the legendary sealed items (Catastrophe) somewhere around 90+ (if I remember correctly...) so I believe that could be the reason why =P
+CamperCarl00 I got this event at level 20, but I talked to her five or 6 times before she summoned guards, she gave me 10,000,000 hl at one point. Wish I'd taken the cash and gone now, that money would have been real helpful!
Also, interesting that now you can break the level spheres instead of having to lift them.... 3:44 Soul Nomad BGM :3 4:12 "明日から頑張る~" Sounds like me when someone tells me to study or something~ lol Hmmm... and now you can add unique innocents to the weapons :o Interesting~~
Ah~ I'm on floor 4500 or so on my Trapezohedron now. I'm taking it slowly to get the dupe room (I think I have about 20 dupes of it now distributed among my main damage dealers and support units - still not nearly enough though :P I mean I need 3 for 83 characters. Which is a lot. On the plus side, the deeper I go, the better the dupe chances are. Now if only I was getting the dupe room more often.

+Koku Knight After a while I started trying to avoid levels I couldn't beat and focused on the bonus gauge/optional things. Like destroying a level sphere and then leaving worked, just like grabbing a level fish and then running to the exit also worked.
Mystia Lorelei i know this is an old vid/comment ... i think the odds of success go up with item level. i had a couple successful dupes before lvl 500, but i think 500+ is 100%success. i could be remembering wrong. i had stayed at 500 a while grinding kill bonus and training bonus, so i have been lucky in finding the dupe room with a few fails. as i leveled i saw good improvement in the success rate. i have my LOD sage attack three times thanks to my second sage. my primary maid comes out with my cleric to buff int, and second maid and metalia come out comes out. all others surrounding my main sage with angel song, softening aura, explorer. i dunno the stack cap for explorer but i think thats good enough. thanks to explorer plus mystery rout i get mystery rooms most of the time. right now i kill all i can then move on to save time. metalia destroys level spheres, second maid lifts fish.
Hey admiral. I just started my carnage experience but i had a question I couldn't find answered online. im currently leveling my item in the item world and when i killed the item God i did get my unique innocent. however for killing the next item gods at level 200 and 300, although it states I have received different unique innocents, none came into my equipment. I even used a gency at 299 to be sure and emptied all my innocents from my gear. well i hope you can see this : D
+Navi Quinones Warning! Long post... Make a double CD elixir curry with 100x eyeglasses (play 100~ battles to get it to 100 days and keep making it as soon as you've consumed it) Put your best innocent on it and some innocents you want to level Jump into the item and instantly jump to floor 10 (20 also works, doesn't really matter) Change your path to special rooms or whatever it's called Jump to floor 30/40 Jump to floor 50/60 Jump to floor 70/80 Jump to floor 90 Jump to floor 95 Progress to floor 99 Exit and save if you need to and get ready to kill the item god and steal another trap Go to floor 100, kill the Item God and steal the trap. The IG's stats should be significantly lower than the one you originally stole the trap from, meaning they'll be super easy to steal from and defeat for a unique innocent. Since item level, tier and such dictate the difficulty, you can dive deep into the item for the bonuses (like you get more level increasing bonuses on the bonus gang the deeper you're) and level it faster. - Floor 101+ Make a couple of pointless characters with the slumber cat (or whatever it's called) negate ally damage evility. This will allow you to grab the level fish and use land decimater without killing either. In addition to that, put on a bunch of shoes to increase their movement/jump height. It also helps to make them flying types, since they can walk around units, though this isn't exactly necessary. Use the immune characters to change the position of things or grab the level fish (it typically lives for two turns and can kill whomever is holding it, so don't end your turn holding it). Use your Sage (ideally with perks that assist you in item world and the power to steal enemies they kill) to clear out all the characters and quickly level through bonuses. As you progress, keep doing special rooms, as they give a training bonus. After you clear like 50 of them your item will become epic or whatever rarity, which makes it more powerful. Also, NEVER use LD in a challenge room, since it will hit the gate guard and killing that cat is far harder than anything you need to face in the room. Keep playing normally leaving after every 20 or 30 floors. This is incase you run into the duplication room, as you don't want to duplicate a level 1 trap, when you could have had a level 100+ one. Also swap out innocents when you leave and keep combining them. Rinse and repeat until you can no longer easily clear things. Once you hit this point, start abusing bonus gauge up items, grab level fish, destroy spheres and then run to the end.
+Navi Quinones Sadly, there really isn't anything to show. Leveling innocents is long, but it can also be done passively. The basic idea is to max your innocent squad, grab a bunch of powerful ones and put them in the farm, constantly fuse the babies and swap them out once they star. Put those on an item set to the innocent route, put your main damage dealer in the innocent killing squad and then kill them in an item. Rinse and repeat until you get one to 50,000. Put it on an item you're leveling and hope you get the duplication room. That will give you 2, then do it again for 4 and again for 8. Once you get 8 you need to remove everything from your ranch, put 2 innocents at 50,000 in there and you should get kids in the 10,000+ range. Keep trying to duplicate the innocents and fusing the kids to make more 50,000 innocents. At some point I suggest leveling another type, such as INT to go with ATK and swap out one of the two 50,000s with that. Eventually you should, assuming the two are compatible, result in a dual stat innocent like the hard workers in this video. Those give 50,000 ATK and INT, so they're obviously better than just one stat. Fuse all the kids into a single awesome innocent that you keep on the item you're trying to duplicate and eventually you should get 4, which I suggest you remove the two 50,000s for the dual perk 50,000s (as they should give you the dual perk kids more often) and the other two on the item you're duping. Keep doing it until you eventually have 40+ like I did.
Hey Vic, I have a question. What exactly does beating Proto Darkdeath in the Item World do? I know it says you get a bonus, but I'm not certain what that bonus is supposed to be.
+Sword Kirby777 Well, I only did it once because every run after getting the trophy was against a 99,999,999 stat one, but it should be one of two or three things. 1) Rarity boost 2) Stat boost 3) Some combo of the two Either or, I would do it if you can and avoid it if you can't.
+Admiral Vic Ha ha, I suppose that would make sense. I randomly found him in a non-Carnage Arcadia, and I had been power leveling like a madman before really going through the Carnage Dimension, so he was a cakewalk. But I haven't even tried to fight him in a Carnage item, because he's way too much of a pain. Thank you very much, and if I have any other questions, I'll be sure to ask them.
i know this question is two years old but il answer it for the sake of preventing others who see this comment chain from leaving misinformed. what beating proto darkdeath in item world does is it allows you to use the item assembly of that item an additional time. there is no limit to how many times you can repeat this (forcing proto dark death to appear in item world is a bill you can pass in the dark assembly). in addition, if you kill him he also nets you +3 training bonus (same as an item god.)
Hey Vic, I have another question. I was in the Item World of a Carnage version Ultimus (Fist weapon) and I found the R40 weapon mystery room. I was controlling Killia, and he has all the weapon mastery levels up to 100, but when I tried to talk to the item, it wouldn't give me the item. Do you know what I might have done wrong?
+Sword Kirby777 While I personally thought you just needed to play as that character and have the mastery up to 100, someone else told me that the requirement was doing it in the CD R39 version. I believe the Ultimus is the R39 fist, so you should have got it, so I don't know. =[ Sorry.
Huh, go figure. I wonder if the requirement might be doing it in an R40 version of a weapon, like the one you'd get from either the Research missions or the Item God 2? Ah well, I'm sure I'll get one eventually. If I find out, I'll let you know the details.
+Sword Kirby777 "Huh, go figure. " That I don't know something? I was and still am pretty clueless about Disgaea 5. "I wonder if the requirement might be doing it in an R40 version of a weapon, like the one you'd get from either the Research missions or the Item God 2?" Nope. I was in the R39 stave when I got mine. I remember this because I was trying to get the R40 version from the Item God 2. Plus I have a video of it, so that helps too. "If I find out, I'll let you know the details." Kk. All I can say for sure is that I tried to grab the Stave with Usalia and even though I had a level 100 staves mastery character, it rejected me. After that I swapped to that character and was given the item, which lead to my theory/assumption.
My apologies, I wasn't saying go figure to you not knowing something. I was just kinda flabbergasted at the whole of the situation. I figured I had fulfilled both requirements. My original thought was also that you just had to have the weapon mastery at level 100. The R39 weapon requirement hadn't crossed my mind until I had seen another one of your comments mentioning that possibility. I meant no disrespect by what I said. Let's just say that I'm quite confused with the situation. I'm hoping to figure it out. There are a few theories running through my mind about this. One is that I'm wondering if the character who has the level 100 mastery needs to be equipped with that weapon. For example: When I got to that room, I had Killia equipped with the Absolution (Gun) and the Yoshitsuna (Sword), but not another Fist weapon. Who knows, but I intend to find out. ^_^
+Sword Kirby777 "My apologies, I wasn't saying go figure to you not knowing something." Sometimes I think I should stop trying to relate to people and stick to answering questions, because I get into way too many misunderstandings. I was confused why you said go figure, asked if it was because I didn't know the answer and then replied to the possible reason with the assertion that there are many things I don't know. But in either case, it doesn't matter, so lets let the top drop. "When I got to that room, I had Killia equipped with the Absolution (Gun) and the Yoshitsuna (Sword), but not another Fist weapon. Who knows, but I intend to find out. ^_^" Possible. Shame that the game can't just tell you what you're doing wrong. xD
hey Vic, question: I'm in LoC in a legendary sword and I get the sealed weapon room. I have 100 sword mastery and its S rank, I also have catastrophe about level 139 on me. equipped it and tried getting the shura version from the room, and no dice. still called me a novice. what's the issue? how do I get the shura version? please help D:
+Ryan rensberger I've heard and seen various things, but I've been told that you need to enter a R39 to get it. I can't deny the claim, as I too got it in a R39 weapon, but I wasn't able to get it by playing as a character that was under XYZ level mastery. So if you play as a monster, then you won't be able to get a sword, spear, etc.
+Ryan rensberger I actually found a Sealed Weapon room in my Bouquet Sword Fun Item, but unfortunately I hadn't mastered the sword quite yet, so I couldn't grab it.
Kind of a noob, i havent quite figured out how to get things like the trapezohedron yet. im working on leveling and reincarnating my sage at the moment and figuring out what evilities i need for item world, so far i only know of that the twin heads one though :/ any tips?
+Gary walton "i havent quite figured out how to get things like the trapezohedron yet." Steal it from an item god 2 on floor 100 of a legendary Arcadia in Item World. "any tips?" The NetherNoble's unique perk can give you up a 35% stat increase without having to do anything per stage. Beyond that, the only really useful one is the one where you can deathblow people with a lower speed than you. It comes from the Rabbit, so make sure to get that. Beyond those, I suggest getting things like Plunder (Pirate), the Felynn's unique and the rest are just preference. Like when I was in item world almost all my evilities were item world related.
+Admiral Vic Awesome Thank you! thats far better advice then google. everyone seems so divided on how to actually acquire things on most message boards :/ guess i gotta find myself a legendary arcadia after i get my sage somewhat decently powerful. so far her land decimator is pretty crappy. aside from a 900 statistician and martial training 5 is there a quicker way to level? i used cheat shop to power them up to their max but my sage can only kill them on around 10-15 star level using giga star (i think, might be tera star, whatever the highest one was) I was using killia to give her exp through squads for the first bit cause hes currently my all powerful god lol
+Gary walton "aside from a 900 statistician and martial training 5 is there a quicker way to level?" Kind of; sort of. The best way to level is to finish all the post game fights, which should give you a total of 1,000 points you can put into things like mana or experience. This should unlock CD, where you gain access to better gear. When you do the CD version of Ordeal 5, you get some serious experience. I don't have the exact figures, but with a 900 statistician you can go from 1 to 9,999 while in the Elite 4 squad by finishing the two star version of that mission (might even be able to do it by just killing the middle Lucky Board, but I can't recall and too lazy to verify).
Yeah im trying to get powerful enough for the CD version of the ordeals, ive cleared a few. Im thinking farming a few of the ones i can handle a bit to replace my last few pieces of normal gear with CD gear then jump into the item world a bit, My killia cant even scratch the level 5 version of the trials guys yet for the first clear so i dont have the lucky boards there yet. It feels a bit overwhelming for someone so new to the series lol im figuring it out ever so slowly.
+Gary walton "Im thinking farming a few of the ones i can handle a bit to replace my last few pieces of normal gear with CD gear then jump into the item world a bit" Would probably be a good use of time. " It feels a bit overwhelming for someone so new to the series lol im figuring it out ever so slowly." At least the community is willing to help newcomers.
+MKP2W Not moving on the initial turn is the Twin Dragon unique evility, with attacking again a unit is at 10% or less is the Felynn unique evility. Combine this with the Sage's special buff and you can attack up to 4 times a turn. 5 if you get your overload and count that too.
+MKP2W The assembly has an option called "subclass." You select the character you want and then the class you want them to learn stuff from and they will learn them as they level up the subclass.
Admiral Vic Yeah I saw that shortly after I posted that, thanks for the information though. I have a few 9999 characters already, one of them being my sage and im not quite sure what i should be doing at this point to min/max my characters. I'm guessing it has something to do with that elite four squad and reincarnating but i would appreciate it if you could give me some advice on what i should be doing next because Im relatively new to the series but have a decent understanding of it so far.
+MKP2W " im not quite sure what i should be doing at this point to min/max my characters." I was reincarnating characters with stat boosting evilities/perks and after a couple of goes of that, I did a few runs with the Elite 4 squad. Once they have decent power you want to consider one of five things. 1) Max out your aptitudes 2) Max out your evility slots 3) Level innocents 4) Obtain better items in item world 5) Farm for stat boosting items It really doesn't matter which path you take, but obviously four and five are best left until later.
i just bought the game i am conplete newb never played any of this type of game(disgaea, turn based mech) dont know what item world is but can someone tell what the fuck i was watching in this 11 minutes of my life? :-D and explained to me i just started playing xD
Item world is basically a place where you level gear. This is done through various things like destroying items, clearing floors and getting fish. This video was designed around showing people how I do it quickly.
Admiral Vic well how would you feel if you were the one still waiting for this to comeout and someone already beat it ten-fold ? Catch my drift ? Any who , great videos btw . Will be watching more :)
+OtakuMan hakdre55 "well how would you feel if you were the one still waiting for this to comeout and someone already beat it ten-fold ? " If you want the truth, I would just shrug it off. The Japanese had it months before I ever got my copy and while I could have imported it (as you can too), the only difference is that I have to wait slightly less time. However, everything comes at a cost too. While I don't have to wait as long for Disgaea 5, I also have other obligations that I need to attend to. It isn't like I can play Disgaea at whatever rate I want, since I need to meet deadlines and have other games to cover (Senran Kagura 2, Miku, Mario Maker, Danganronpa, Destiny The Taken King, Mad Max, etc) and thats not even including my life things. But I won't ramble on about it. " Catch my drift ?" With that being said, it really doesn't answer or even respond to my comment. How exactly is "it sucks that someone has already done everything I want to do in a game that I can't wait to release" explain why people insist on asking why/how do I have it? I mean, my comment was largely directed at the fact that there are only so many answers and odds are it won't be something simple like "my GameStop got it early. Go look now."
First of all the Japanese import does not have english subtitles . Your version was in full English. The only game that is out in english is the u.s version , wich comes out next month . Ur not supposed to have a copy until it releases. Its not fair to the gamers who are waiting for it. If you have a japanese disgaea 5 and you know the language then good for you , import it . like all of us , we have things to do but that is off topic. If i was broadcasting a illegal copy of a unreleased copy on the ps4 , i would of gotten reported or Possibly banned. The reason why people keep insisting on this question is because your not supposed to have a U.S copy yet until release date. Im not being a bad apple , just stating the facts. well either way , I got to see how the game works , the item world , and alot of new characters. So i thank you for that. :)
+Noktis Lucis Game journalist/reviewer. The funny thing is how this stuff goes. Like you can see OtakuMan hakre55's reply to me, but I was actually given my copy from NIS America and wasn't just told I had no embargo, I was actually encouraged to do coverage. But I digress, simple answer to a simple question.
"maximizing" or "minimizing" our time there? lol I find it funny how broker the Land decimator can be in this game... it saves us lots of time and all, but... it just feels wrong in some videos~ lol "The fortune shop can take levels away" THEY STILL HAVE THIS ANNOYING FEATURE!? Damn it, NIS...!! Though, I may be wrong but I think this also increases the chances of you finding them again and gaining some levels this time... it's happened twice for me, but that was in Disgaea 4 =/
veeesh =/ I always avoided it on legendary items, but used it casually on normal ones. Btw, does this game still have those rooms where we're surrounded by some monsters and have to fight them to get some levels? Those were quite fun imo, I even found one in D4 that was full of Bone Dragons, and when I talked to one he said "Suck on my bones

Whats the music called when fighting an item general or item king? cant find this track anywhere
Hey admiral. I just started my carnage experience but i had a question I couldn't find answered online.

+paul4x Go to the item world shop, select enhance equipment or whatever, select unique innocent and see if its listed there.
awesome vid! I had a question. I just got my first carnage trap, but I'd like to know the most effective way to level it. what's your take on this?
also, in your trap featured, I noticed u have pretty high level innocents. any chance you'll make a vid detailing how to create them! thanks a million

Make a double CD elixir curry with 100x eyeglasses (play 100~ battles to get it to 100 days and keep making it as soon as you've consumed it)
Put your best innocent on it and some innocents you want to level
Jump into the item and instantly jump to floor 10 (20 also works, doesn't really matter)
Change your path to special rooms or whatever it's called
Jump to floor 30/40
Jump to floor 50/60
Jump to floor 70/80
Jump to floor 90
Jump to floor 95
Progress to floor 99
Exit and save if you need to and get ready to kill the item god and steal another trap

Awesome post! Thank you so much for such a detailed reply! You're the man! :)
1) Rarity boost
2) Stat boost
3) Some combo of the two
Either or, I would do it if you can and avoid it if you can't.
What happens with the bottlemail when you break them?
+deisdragon You get a scroll item.
That I don't know something? I was and still am pretty clueless about Disgaea 5.
"I wonder if the requirement might be doing it in an R40 version of a weapon, like the one you'd get from either the Research missions or the Item God 2?"
Nope. I was in the R39 stave when I got mine. I remember this because I was trying to get the R40 version from the Item God 2. Plus I have a video of it, so that helps too.
"If I find out, I'll let you know the details."
Kk.
+Sword Kirby777 "My apologies, I wasn't saying go figure to you not knowing something."
Sometimes I think I should stop trying to relate to people and stick to answering questions, because I get into way too many misunderstandings.
Possible. Shame that the game can't just tell you what you're doing wrong. xD
hey Vic, question:
I'm in LoC in a legendary sword and I get the sealed weapon room.
How do you u lock the item town mode??
Kind of a noob, i havent quite figured out how to get things like the trapezohedron yet. im working on leveling and reincarnating my sage at the moment and figuring out what evilities i need for item world, so far i only know of that the twin heads one though :/ any tips?
+Gary walton "i havent quite figured out how to get things like the trapezohedron yet."
Steal it from an item god 2 on floor 100 of a legendary Arcadia in Item World.
"any tips?"
The NetherNoble's unique perk can give you up a 35% stat increase without having to do anything per stage.
+Gary walton "aside from a 900 statistician and martial training 5 is there a quicker way to level?"
Kind of; sort of.
+Gary walton "Im thinking farming a few of the ones i can handle a bit to replace my last few pieces of normal gear with CD gear then jump into the item world a bit"
Would probably be a good use of time.
" It feels a bit overwhelming for someone so new to the series lol im figuring it out ever so slowly."
At least the community is willing to help newcomers.
OK how do you even get to this point the max floors I've dove is like 50 over a period if a few days
You gotta talk on a complex game like this, I had no idea what you were doing
how is your sage attacking twice
+MKP2W Not moving on the initial turn is the Twin Dragon unique evility, with attacking again a unit is at 10% or less is the Felynn unique evility. Combine this with the Sage's special buff and you can attack up to 4 times a turn. 5 if you get your overload and count that too.
+Admiral Vic So you reincarnated into those classes to learn those evilities?
+MKP2W The assembly has an option called "subclass." You select the character you want and then the class you want them to learn stuff from and they will learn them as they level up the subclass.
Admiral Vic
Yeah I saw that shortly after I posted that, thanks for the information though.
+MKP2W " im not quite sure what i should be doing at this point to min/max my characters."
I was reincarnating characters with stat boosting evilities/perks and after a couple of goes of that, I did a few runs with the Elite 4 squad. Once they have decent power you want to consider one of five things.
1) Max out your aptitudes
2) Max out your evility slots
3) Level innocents
4) Obtain better items in item world
5) Farm for stat boosting items
It really doesn't matter which path you take, but obviously four and five are best left until later.
hey how can i get hard worker
+bloodmoon kalista Have a gladiator and mentor breed together.
thanks
Not bad at all gamer
i just bought the game i am conplete newb never played any of this type of game(disgaea, turn based mech) dont know what item world is but can someone tell what the fuck i was watching in this 11 minutes of my life? :-D and explained to me i just started playing xD
Item world is basically a place where you level gear. This is done through various things like destroying items, clearing floors and getting fish. This video was designed around showing people how I do it quickly.
How many hours into the game are you at the point of filming?
If I remember correctly, well over 100.
ok how did you get this game in the first place?
+OtakuMan hakdre55 Magic? I don't see why people insist on asking me this question though.
If you want the truth, I would just shrug it off.
" Catch my drift ?"
With that being said, it really doesn't answer or even respond to my comment.
"maximizing" or "minimizing" our time there? lol
I find it funny how broker the Land decimator can be in this game... it saves us lots of time and all, but... it just feels wrong in some videos~ lol
"The fortune shop can take levels away" THEY STILL HAVE THIS ANNOYING FEATURE!? Damn it, NIS...!! Though, I may be wrong but I think this also increases the chances of you finding them again and gaining some levels this time... it's happened twice for me, but that was in Disgaea 4 =/
+OmegaTaishu Yup. I swear I lose more than I would gain. I was at a ratio of like 1:3 for gaining, so I stopped ever using the shop.
veeesh =/
I always avoided it on legendary items, but used it casually on normal ones.
Btw, does this game still have those rooms where we're surrounded by some monsters and have to fight them to get some levels? Those were quite fun imo, I even found one in D4 that was full of Bone Dragons, and when I talked to one he said "Suck on my bones
+OmegaTaishu Yes
That video was a waste of my time.
why?
