    I’m cuddled up in my blanket alone in my room and on my bed, I am watching this on my tv in the corner of my room, my hairs wet from the shower, I’m in a comfy black flannel and black leggings, I’m in my grandmas house. My grandma and my mom don’t get along. My grandma is abusive and mentally draining. I need to keep a positive mind set cause lately I feel like I’d been falling apart, when I’m with my mom sometimes I have to act like I’m a 44 year old, taking care of my grandpa who is 94 and my sister who is 7. I am 13. Yesterday I was left in a motel room with my sister and grandpa, it was 11:45 almost time for check out and I had no idea where my mother was, there’s a lot more to the story but I rather not go there. I’ve just been so down and sad and confused, even mad at myself for not being able to get a job, a house, money, but then I realize that I’m 13.. and it really drives me up the wall. This video is something I looked up because of all this and more, depression has been peeking into my life and banging on my door. But this video made me have a bigger output on things, I don’t really know how to explain it but thank you.

      Peace Pill, you are dealing with things that most 13 year olds don't know anything about. I applaud your efforts for trying to stay positive and you are way ahead of the game in realizing that you have control over how you act. You are remarkable.

      Wow, to be able to articulate the issues you are dealing with so well, is impressive at your age. I'm sorry to hear what you are going through. I had a rough childhood too, it's scary having no control over a situation. I hope you are able to find peace. You seem like an intelligent girl, keep your head up and I'm sure you will do great things in life.

Hes got such great advice right? I just want to say I am so proud of you. As a mom of a 14 year old daughter I wrap my arms around you and say I feel so proud of you and who you are and feel so much love for you in your challanges. Your peace and strength and happiness are in my prayers along with your whole family. Much love to you.

    Ps. Nearly forgot, hope your nephew in law Talon has recovered since, and if is of any value to know that at least for me there was a meaningful message in his and yours experience through the "truncated" message (that's another bit larger conversation), be it known I have been changed by it, and it is my wish and hope to make that change be for good to others as I serve. There is something ever so fascinating with a positive mindset.
    I can ramble on for hours down the streams of philosophy, science and metaphysics, but ultimately I think positive thinking and being a positive individual, is a magnificent state worth trying to obtain and maintain!
    Allow me to brief:
    Over the aeons of our existence our world has gone through time. The process of being resulting in the interaction positive and negative energy.
    To give some insight to my thoughts: There is a duality that I wish to one day frame, the YING and YANG of existence. For now let's say there are 2 energies: POSITIVE and NEGATIVE. Like the AMPLITUDE and TROUGH in the ether. For some unknown reason, they are equal in nature in a sense it brings upon the balance we know as existence. Positivity; for some reason reigns greater. It is the preferred energy state.
    Our universe is moving toward something.
    Toward what though?
    I have no idea, but everything to my existence shows me it, we and everything is moving toward and if you help existence move toward by being positive, (POSITIVE) you will be rewarded by its mechanics that made you and I a reality. This ultimately is happiness which is a state of energy equilibrium. The somewhat resonance of the positive(out) and negative(in) force.
    Master energy, master existence...

      Yes, sari taylor. Be grateful for three things everyday. One easy, obvious thing and two where your gratitude comes from challenges or difficulties in your life. 1. indoor plumbing, 2. learned about plumbing (when the sink broke), 3. people who help (when my car broke down). I have just discovered your channel, and my daughter has an issue similar to Marie Drummond
    My grand daughter is 15 with low grade autism has been skipping school, and has zeroed in on a boy who is also skipping school. My daughter had grounded my granddaughter who has now chosen to live at the boyfriends home. To make matters worse my daughter is attending a 2 yr college program condensed into 1 yr and is so stressed out that I am worried about her mental health.Do you have a video which could help us make our way through this terrible ordeal. I have taken my grandson to live with me and finish his year at grade school, to try to ease the situation.

    • @LiveOnPurposeTV
      @LiveOnPurposeTV  5 років тому +1

      Be there for your daughter and talk to her. Make sure she knows she can talk to you and you won't be judging her emotions during this difficult time. She may need to vent and say things she doesn't really mean and should not be held against her if you are worrying about her stress levels. Take care of your mental health. I talk a bit about it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/PdDjv4J-2xI/v-deo.html. Here is another one: ua-cam.com/video/VJkicx2XXtw/v-deo.html Check out the list of videos in the playlist under the channel picture. Good luck, DOROTHY ANDREWS. You are doing an important work.

    This makes so much sense. I came from a tumultuous upbringing with lots and I mean LOTS of trauma including watching my brother die in our home in front my very eyes. And that’s only a tiny portion of my upbringing. Spoiler alert it didn’t get much better after that. Not until I was an adult did things start getting better for me. One of the things I struggled with was relating to others. Because I had been through so much, I really struggled to develop empathy for my friends who were upset over things that seemed to me as trivial as a hangnail. I am so thankful for every experience I’ve had in life because it has caused me to remain acutely aware of the fact that things could always be so much worse than they are now. Boom. Instant gratitude! Thank you God for every trial you have delivered me through!

For example I am unemployed because of my health issues (that are mostly invisible to other people.) and they see me as a poor outcast. I get a kick out of solving negatives not so much emphasis on the focus! Kinda like a jigsaw puzzle. As each piece fits I get my dopamine hit. Life is a struggle at times and ironically this is what I am greatful for.
    We got this far we will solve earth's problems.
    I think we're both on the same page and your work has helped me emensly with many pieces of the puzzle.
    Thank you.

      I love your positive attitude, Plus Bonus. Sometimes it is a positive to look back and see where we have come from and what we have done. Then, look to the future and be grateful for those challenges and know that we figured things out in the past and we can do it again. Honored to be on your team.

    Opposite of gratitude is shame and blame. Shame equals you are bad. Now that we identify your to blame. I now have control how I feel. This is the way of the Sith.
    How else am I supposed to relieve the inflammation of the stress hormone of cortisol and aldosterone and get my nitric oxide dump to counter the inflammation I feel from automatic negative thoughts and be the dominant person in my life?
    Otherwise I'm relying on healthy hormones of serotonin oxytocin dopamine endorphins adrenaline...
    Continue to do but you've always done and get what you've always gotten...
    Awesome Video keep up the good work :-)

    Hi Paul,
    first of all thank you for your interesting insights!
    I have a question:
    You said that it is better to evaluate our future outcomes in a positive way ("when we imagine that what's coming is better... excitement, hope."), and yet, the first thing I thought about when I heard it is - what about the tough feeling of disappointment when the outcome is worse then what we hoped for?
    I understand that there will always be a trade off and it's hard to say what is really better.
    I only know that I'm used to imagine that it'll be worse then what I want, so there is no "hope" or excitement, but there is also no disappointment.
    I would like to hear what do you think about it!

    • @LiveOnPurposeTV
      @LiveOnPurposeTV  2 роки тому

      Arik Smo, if something doesn't turn out as I thought (and it rarely does), I look for the positive in what happened. What did I learn? Who did I meet? Is it only Act 2 and Act 3 is still to come? We aren't at the end until we stop breathing so you may have more to try and do before you get the outcome you want. Be persistent.

      Stephanie Sauerberg, oftentimes I don't think they believe what they are saying and choose to be amused by them. It is about separating ourselves from the outcomes. If I know in my heart that I am trying to help and treating them with kindness and dignity, then it doesn't bother me.
