10 years later now in 2022. Rallies are dominated by giant baggers with every possible comfort option. I got tired of it. Traded my M8 limited in on a cheap sportster and a far check. Gonna build out a basic, stripped down Harley I can love and ride and camp off from for the next 50 years of my life. Been riding for 40 years on the streets...many miles on touring bikes...but my 1st HD was a sportster I rode all over this country after the Army... going back to that. Thanks for the video. I'm saving it and will watch over a bunch.
I'm an American and if I could go anywhere in the world to ride it would definitely have to be to your great country to ride and hangout with you all.. many countries like Japan try to copy the Harley biker ways but you guys are the real deal and you all build some badazz choppers
Man! Thats the way to do it. I have a 57 ironhead. Springer. Hardtail. 9 foot wheelbase. Still have the mag for fire. Makes no sense but I want to coast to coast it.
Can’t wait to do this myself. Was debating between building a chopper and buying a Softail till I watched this. Think I’ll put some links on my sportster to get rid of the shocks before I start building a panhead chopper so I can get used to the feedback from the road
GREAT VIDEO,THANKS,i also did ride few 1000 miles in the usa allways with an Harley (route 66,blues hwy and few more) but a rental one,but here in my coutry i do ride a chopper (fxdwg 88ci carbs) ,born free ride free chopper for ever
there is fk all free about ridin a harley , first off they are overpriced , then you got to pour fuel into them , got to insure and be all road legal , not cheap , then you got to abide by all the road law restrictions,, fk all free ..

Det har måtte været en fed tur. Og det har sikkert været dyrt og få jeres egne cykler med fra Norge. Det må bare være drømmeturen, I har været på. Mange hilsner fra en dansk biker. 🤙
Hi Kevin. Yes I guess that was us, I think it was Saturday the 13^th of July. We were on a roadtrip called Easyrider Tour USA 2019. By the end after 80 days on the road we had done 12.400 miles thru 27 states.
@@arvesolly1967 Haha, I thought I recognised you. You were on your way to the Keys, and I was really hoping I would meet you on the road to Sturgis. I only did 5400 miles in 10 days. I have a couple of photos for you. Let me have an email address I can send them. Skol
Nice ! 5400 miles in 10 days is quite an achievement but not so good on hardtail choppers ;-). You can use our e-mail address boogersmc@gmail.com. Thanks and Cheers :-)

Don't get me wrong I love a good old fashioned hard tail classic hd. I've had a 49 pan-shovel and a 62 shovel. Both jockey and kick start. As I myself believe if you ride a classic hd it's got to be a jockey or suicide shift as they got there name in Frisco on those steep hills. But going across country I love, just freaking love my 06 electric glide ultra classic. The fairing, the travel trunk, and hard bag's and best of all the radio and air shock's. But beautiful sleds guy's rubber down sun on your face and wind at your back....
Boogers mc That's a very affordable price, living your dream is priceless! I would be curious if I can still get a similar price, I would love to ship a bike that direction and enjoy your neck of the woods. Great video and Thanks for the inspiration, maybe I'll see you soon at a Petrol (Gas)station in your hometown...
Ah great what part are you from, my family are from Notodden. I want to ride to the Blues festival in Notodden from England next year if I can save the money!
Thank you Sir, if you see a battered black sporty riding though your town next August it will be me, chances are I will have to stop for a pølse & coffee at every other town so I will make yours a stop! Ride hard roll free...
not every harley man ,, most are dumb ass fat ugly cunts with fat ugly fkn bikes,, these bikes are proper choppers and show what a harley can look like with a bit of imagination,, they must have stood out like a sore thumb at Sturgis among all those fkn ugly dumbass bikes .
I couldn’t do this ride with any of my old compadres. They were all so nuts they’d go off and start chasing girls in cars or mocking cops on the hwy that we were always in some kind of trouble. Now I ride by myself and have learned how to stay off the radar
Don't know how many times I've watched this video, but makes me remember earlier times,at 70 yrs old, I'm still riding and don't plan on stopping.🙂
Same here brother
